The native watched for a short time as the other woman continued to work, looking on with some concern. It was rather apparent the nightmares bothered the other woman, the sign of something being ill at peace in ones life according to the greatmothers. It was also rather obvious that bringing this up would likely only irritate the other woman and possibly make her more emotionally distant. Cait decided that she would have to satisfied with what she learned earlier in the night. Eventually she fell asleep to the sounds of the black haired woman working, and after a brief look around and a small bit of fruit in the morning walked outside the cave, giving Charlotte a serious look as she leaned back on the rock with her eyes closed.

Was ... was she alright? Had she fallen asleep standing up? "Did ... did you get any sleep Charlotte? Are you all right?" It was obvious the native's normal teasing and happy attitude had gradually drifted away the longer she spent around this somewhat deranged and mad woman. She had no concept of life or friends and was unable to sleep peacefully - obviously the way she lived took a toll on her psyche, but she continued to do so anyways.

Of course, acting so concerned would likely only annoy the woman. So instead the native put a smirk on her face and winked at the other woman before leaning in, wrapping a soft arm around Charlotte's back. Words whispered with a slightly musical tune followed, "I was a little lonely last night without you in there." It was slightly true, but for the most part the native was simply putting on a performance for the other woman to elicit some sort of response.

Selvina was surprised when her detection spell detected no one out of the ordinary in the local area. What - what was going on here? Where was the ambush? Did something happen on the other side of town that they weren't sure about? Luna complained, but the magierprinz ignored it for the moment. What in the blazes was this person doing then?

Of course, that train of thought was interrupted as the noblewoman heard the sound of metal striking flesh and Eith give off a small whine. Turning around, the noblewoman saw the dagger had been meant for her - and it was surely a real dagger.

Between being frustrated about the woman's motives and hearing that yip of pain and the general frustration with the entire week mounting all together the German Woman's face suddenly became dark as she raised her grimore up once more. The cloud would suddenly crackle with a roaring thunder as a few bolts of lightning would converge onto the woman's point, lighting up the night sky with their pale glow.

The gust cantrip was prepared in the case that the woman teleported nearby and tried to jump him or Eith, which was how she would probably avoid the lightning.

Fia largely ignored the creepy dolls that Kathrine kept around, secretly a little happy the woman was too busy and wasn't coming by any time soon. The phoenix accepted Livia's reassurance and head ruffles as much as possible and soon the two were out in the yard.

The crimson haired girl nodded as the instructions were given out, reaching into herself like before and expecting the pain to suddenly well up - but it wasn't there. Now that she knew what to do, it was surprisingly easy. Closing her eyes for a second, the girl focused on her open hand and pulled on a bit of her strength from within and trying to bring it into the world.

"Ah-ah-ah!" A small bonfire launched into the night sky as the girl flailed her hand around for a moment and jumped back instinctually, the flame blasting into her face causing no harm aside from disheveling her hair in a rather erratic manner. So much for being upset about Livia pats. The girl forced herself to close her hand around the warmth and cut off the source of her power. Strands of hair seemed to flick out in various directions as if she had been tossed to the ground multiple times by a spontaneous hurricane, and the edges of her nightgown were slightly charred from being nearby the intense heat.

Had ... had that really been too much? Looking up at Livia a little nervously and with a face flushed with embarrassment, the girl tried again. "... s-sorry ..." Of course Livia would want her to try again, and this time the girl imagined creating a small candlelight and forced herself to reach for a small, seemingly minute amount of power within. Opening her eyes again, a fire somewhere between what would be seen with a candle and a torch flickered within her hand. The crimson haired girl looked at Livia with pride, hoping this is what the headmistress had been looking for as she looked between her work and the woman.

As the magierprinz fired their spell, rather than seeing the opponent fly away and slam into some object Selvina instead felt a sudden heavy weight on her head then a kick to the back as she was sent sprawling straight into the mud in a rather undignified manner face first. For a few seconds she had to force herself to collect her breath, but she eventually rose up shakily while the others seemed to keep her occupied during that time period.

The mage just simply looked at their assailant tiredly, suddenly understanding what exactly was going on.
1. This person wasn't really interested in killing them.
2. This person rendered any magic Selvina fired ineffective, probably some sort of magic detection that allowed her to read how the power shifted.
3. She was capable of dodging and taking hits from the worst of their teams. Despite Eith's teeth being stupidly sharp, the woman had hardly suffered a wound. Logically, her arm should have been torn off.
4. She seemed to be distracting them from something, and in her tiredness and the general local excitement she fell for it.

With a sigh, the mage simply waved at their adversary and shrugged. "Alright, you are tough, I get it. I've had a really confusing week and I'm not putting up with this shit. I'm going back to bed. Goodnight." If this person wanted her dead, by god they would kill her. The mage simply cast another detection spell to see if anyone asides from this bastard was in the local area before heading back towards the house.

Fia closed her eyes as her hair was ruffled, puffing out her cheeks slightly with a smile. The other woman seemed to enjoy petting her for short periods of time, but it always fluffed her hair. But ... but the attention was nice. As Livia mentioned pyromancy again however, the phoenix looked at her a bit concerned. Last time they had done it while she was terrified ... did the headmistress intend to stress her out again like that?

For a few seconds the girl debated, but eventually nodded. It was rather obvious that the headmistress wanted her to master this, and in her readings all of her ... past selves ... were powerful pyromancers. She couldn't be trapped again if she was strong, right? And Livia would appreciate it, wouldn't she? "... o-okay headmistress ..." It was the middle of the night, so she wasn't hoping for something too intense at the moment.

The mage this time was more well prepared for the assailant's attack, dispelling the shackles and instead desperately firing the gust cantrip straight out of her hand hoping to hit the center mass of the figure in front of her. If she was lucky, the gust would knock their attacker to the ground where Eith could exercise her full strength and ensure the fight was ended ... quickly.

"Lyssa, Luna!" Selvina wasn't sure if they understood what was going on, but the chances of capturing this person likely increased the more of them were there to fight.

The kitten smiled despite her mood as she looked up at the stars when the dragon spoke happily in her sleep ... it was nice to know that the legend wasn't too bothered by her problems and managed to still enjoy herself despite the problems a rather problematic student of hers had. Maoin told herself that she'd have to thank Lady Sorcha in some way in the near future for everything she was doing - the dragon had decided to take what was likely a month long adventure with a degree of danger with a silly she had met only a couple of days before hand with nothing to gain from the venture.

But what would she get the mighty beast? There wasn't anything she could really provide in return, and nothing she possessed could likely approach the value of anything the dragon would consider worthwhile - being around Lady Gwynn meant hearing about the hordes of treasures the powerful creatures were known to keep for whatever reason.

The girl shook her head as her former mistress reentered her thoughts. What would she do if they met back up, and the woman said she wasn't interested? The black haired girl knew she needed to at least hear it in person but ... what then?

After thinking in circles for some time, the kitten eventually headed back towards Sorcha and crawled beneath one of her wings with a sigh as she tried to fall back asleep after being awake for an hour and found the exhaustion of the day's travel catch up to her in a few minutes as she felt herself begin to drift off.

The crimson haired girl looked downwards as she was told it was too late at night and that she should be in bed. It was rather apparent Livia wasn't being too serious however as Fia clutched her pillow a little tighter to her chest and looked around the room. "... I'm sorry ... I was just a ... little worried about you ..." It seemed the girl was embarrassed to admit her concern about the older woman - how was a girl with emotional issues entitled to worry about an all powerful headmistress of the world's most prestigious academy?

The taller woman would be able to tell this was only partially the truth though as the familiar eventually elaborated. "... and having trouble ... sleeping ..." After several weeks of her life being spent with the other woman along with her, it was strange to sleep on her own at this point. The girl walked around the desk, standing next to Livia and looking at the contents covering the desk, trying to read over them - she'd spent so much of her time working on learning language, and sometimes as practice she would simply try to read whatever was nearest.

As her eyes drifted over the pages Fia couldn't stop herself from letting out a yawn. "... besides, I'm not that tired ... need help ...?" Perhaps she could help Livia with some paperwork since she had largely been absent from the office recently?

Cait frowned as it was clear Charlotte had done more than a little bit worried about what she had seen ... the native had never heard of the smoke being the cause of unpleasant dreams, though hadn't Charlotte mentioned something earlier about this entire situation? Either way, the orange haired girl nodded and packed up the hammock as the two scurried down the tree, heading back towards the little cave that the alchemist called home.

Unless the black haired woman had anything to speak about, the native would be largely content to be quiet. It was clear the other woman was bothered, but they were both tired and the native felt that it would be pointless to try and give advice while in this state. Instead, she would perfectly happy to lay down on the small bed they had made together and sleep once again there.

"Charlotte ... you should get some sleep, alright?"

The magierprinz flinched as Eith suddenly leaped onto the figure, the demoness following through with a tackle and Luna seeming equally surprised as she cast a cantrip.

The figure though seemed completely unaffected as she simply warped to the window and jumped out of it. That meant that the woman had set off the trap intentionally when she had arrived at the bedside ... why? It was rather obvious that with that sort of magical capacity that she would be aware of that alarm. "She woke us up on purpose. I'm not sure what they mean to do, but it would have been easy for her to have slain us ..." Was it a warning of some sort ...?

Either way, this would be a bad time to let them escape. "Eith, come with me." After giving the dog a look, Selvina walked up to the window and focused on a point about twenty feet behind the woman. A spell fired and the noblewoman had warped to that location behind the assailant, Selvina opening her tome and unleashing the divine muzzle on their attacker. It was intended for Eith in case she went mad, but hopefully it would have a similar effect on their attacker?

Cait found herself wake up as the world seemed to shift beneath her, rubbing her eyes for a moment or two. She wasn't exactly sure when the two had ended up with their arms around each other, but any thought about how this would be fun to tease the black haired girl with disappeared after a brief look at Charlotte's face. The woman was obviously having a nightmare, muttering what sounded possibly like names and shivering with cold sweat running down her pale face.

The native sprung into action as soon as she came to her senses, shaking the other woman by the shoulder. "Charlotte! Charlotte! Wake up!" If that wasn't enough to wake her up, the orange haired girl would force herself to shake the other woman harder and scream louder until the black haired woman responded.

"Charlotte ... sorry ... you were having a nightmare." It was rather obvious that having such a thing in a hammock like this was bad for everyone involved, and Cait's face was wrought with worry for multiple reasons. "Are ... are you alright?"

The rest of the day had passed with Selvina receiving some combination of useful, useless, and confusing advice as the demoness spoke to her about being a girl and the noblewoman responding with only more questions. It would have been useful to get more time in reading about the temple, but really the mage was distracted still from the weekend's various issues. Eventually though Selvina let out a yawn, and Lyssa insisted on cuddling for the night.

Selvina wanted to say no but was quickly tossed in bed anyways for involuntary cuddles. And besides, she hadn't harassed the villagers and had been surprisingly useful. And they were both just girls now, right? So it wasn't like anything else was going to happen. Eventually the magierprinz fell asleep as the two snuggled together warmly.

A spell was set off, pulling the noblewoman out of her dreams. She quickly felt herself rise, but then something sharp was poking her neck. She froze, and laid her head back down and quickly scanned the room, suddenly panicking. There didn't appear to be anyone else, but none of her allies seemed to be awake although Eith's ears twitched slightly probably from some sort of dream.

Sitting quietly for a few more seconds, the magierprinz looked at the dagger.

Why hadn't the alarm gone off sooner? Had the person teleported, or had they simply gotten to the bed before triggering it? Something wasn't right here and the girl knew it, although now was not the time to do such speculation. Looking at the dagger, the girl used a single hand motion to point at her mouth to make sure she was allowed to speak, although sweat was dripping from her brow as she tried to control herself.

Why was she with her mistress in a field and playing? It was odd, but fun. As the cat tried to maneuver away from her owner, the other woman jumped onto her and the pair went rolling down a hill until her mistress was on top, pinning the pet down. Despite her struggles, Maoin couldn't escape as she looked up into the eyes of the person who had summoned her.

Why did she suddenly become angry?
Had she done something wrong?
What was-

The cat's eyes opened with a deep breath and the girl covered her mouth instinctually to stop herself from making any noise the could wake the dragon, her eyes already tearing up before she really gained a sense of her surroundings. For a few seconds she listened for the world - a wing was currently pulling her close to Lady Sorcha creating a small cavern of warmth, but it also cut her own vision off from her surroundings. The black haired girl let out a sigh as she closed her eyes again, trying to fall back asleep.

It wasn't working.

She tried rolling over to make herself more comfortable, but the realm of dreams still eluded her until the girl eventually gave up despite how tired she felt. While listening to the dragon tell stories of her past was both entertaining and a welcome distraction to the circumstances the pair faced, Maoin needed a little time to herself. The cat carefully tried to remove herself from the dragon and hoped not to disturb the creature's sleep as she looked around the small clearing the two had set up in.

With eerie silence the girl moved behind a nearby tree, lowering herself to the ground as she leaned against it. Not a lot of time started to pass before the girl found herself sobbing again like the emotional wreck she currently felt like. Sorcha didn't deserve this - the dragon was already doing her best to keep her happy and even training her with minimal compensation ... and besides it was a little embarrassing to admit to oneself and especially others that part of the reason why she felt so lost was because so much of her life had revolved around the woman who had decided to abandon her. She guessed Sorcha wouldn't approve of such thoughts, perhaps even asking why she didn't seek out a new master? For a few seconds the girl wondered why before curling back up and looking at the stars through tree branches as the pieces of nature blocked part of the view.

Having spent most of her day at the library, by the time Fia returned home the headmistress was there as well. Things seemed to go normally, the two eating a nice dinner prepared by the servants and occupying themselves with the phoenix talking about her research and other subject until nightfall. Something seemed slightly off, but the girl couldn't place it. Had she done something to irritate the headmistress? Was she upset with how she wasn't really doing paperwork at the office recently? Eventually Livia decided it was her bedtime before she reached any conclusions and after a quick good night the headmistress left the room 'to wrap up some work'. The phoenix tried her best to fall asleep without the woman around but found herself drifting in and out of consciousness as she would constantly try to make herself comfortable - and of course, to see if the mage had returned yet.

The crimson haired girl looked at a small clock once again, moonlight showing that they were already several hours into the night. Had the headmistress fallen asleep at her desk or simply intended on working through the entire night? Grabbing a pillow into her arms, the phoenix exited the room and headed towards the office, seeing a small light coming from beneath the doorway. After knocking softly twice, Fia tested the doorknob and entered the room quietly, looking at the still awake Livia with tired amber eyes and yawning. "... Mom ... are you ... okay ...?" The phoenix had some concern written in with the exhaustion underneath her eyes as she looked up at the other woman, too tired to realize exactly what she had just said.

Cait nodded as Charlotte said it was a bad idea, largely expecting that of the other woman. It was rather obvious that the sensation was having an effect on her, the alchemist yawning and resting her head against the native's arm. The orange haired girl smiled as the other girl questioned if it made people tired. Caitriona giggled slightly as she let out a small response. "It does have a strong calming effect, and the young ones tend to fall asleep around it." However the native had no intention of going back to the cave unless they woke up naturally, so instead she instinctually leaned towards the other woman as well and closed her own eyes.

Then she sung a soft lullaby. It would likely be too stylized for Charlotte to understand each individual word as they were drawn out or shortened to suit the music it would normally be played to, but it was about an eagle's journey through life as it went from a hatchling to learning to fly to leaving the nest and going out into the world to make one of it's own. The song was sweet and soft and meant to be sung to small children who were filled with worry.

By the end of the music, hopefully Charlotte would be asleep. Cait herself felt tired, and if the other woman had finally passed out she would snuggle up a bit closer and do the same.

The mage looked over to Eith as she commented. She refrained from telling the hound that is what she meant, but it still grated her slightly as she turned back to the normally excited girl.

Whatever she was comfortable with? She'd be comfortable wearing whatever she was supposed to be wearing! And how was she supposed to be comfortable in this body anyways? If things operated normally within the next month blood she'd start bleeding and suddenly become emotional! How was that supposed to be normal?!

Still though, the magierprinz listened to the demoness talk and started to realize that to Lyssa the things she did were probably simply natural at this point. She'd spent her entire life doing this, so of course she'd whatever was right would feel comfortable. Selvina almost let out a sigh as Lyssa suddenly got very close. A slight blush ran across the girl's face and only deepened as Lyssa continued to compliment ... the new body. She ... she couldn't have already succeeded, right? Her clothes hardly fit!

And Lyssa was really close ... maybe girls were just more friendly with eachother when no one else was around? So maybe the demoness was being really friendly and trying to make her comfortable. Still though, Selvina felt something in her chest beating very quickly. Swen. Stop. She can't get to you this easy. Change Subject Change Subject Change-

"uhhh .... umm ... umm ... not a lot really. I ... I'm not even sure how to size clothes for these new adjustments ... or what sort of underwear to buy ... and I have a lot of hair to deal with. It gets in the way. And I have no idea what to do later in the month when the time comes around. And ... and the few times I've been outside ... I've both been treated nicer and considered less ... relevant? Like people expect me to suddenly be much more submissive and emotional?"

Despite the changes in the past thirty years, when Selvia was in a conversation the majority of people were both content and seemed to desire her just being quieter and speaking less in general than before. However, people seemed to open doors for her and approach her more often for conversation ... which was annoying since she wasn't interested in talking to guys for several reasons. Since she was upset recently, people would go up and ask her if she was alright far more often than previously. It honestly was a little mind boggling to suddenly have all the attention when she specifically didn't ask for it.
