Aislinn

The native pouted slightly as her attempt to high five Charlotte was ignored and she was left hanging and a poke touched her forehead. "But I'm the Q-" Was ... was she being petted by Charlotte? A furious blush ran across her face as the other woman mentioned something about a burner. Aislinn felt that she was supposed to be the one in charge here! Couldn't she ever win these sorts of things at all? "B-but I'm ... I'm the teacher-Queen! Y-yeah!" For a few seconds the girl tried to formulate her points. "I-I'm not an anim-"

The girl would follow Charlotte if she stood up and tried to get her attention with overly drastic movements of her arms. "A-as Queen y-you str-strip when I tell you to! My l-loyal subject!"

Only Cait had ever petted her before and that was when they were mates. Otherwise everyone was content to let her be the rightful ruler - right?
Aislinn

Aislinn was confused - how did their mating work if they didn't have springtime? A frown crossed the native's face as Charlotte discussed the entire hugging situation again, at which point she gave the other girl a smile after a few seconds of thought. "Sorry! But you said we are friends right because we are besties!" A new enthusiasm filled the voice of the younger girl as she recalled the previous day's conversation. "And if we are friends, then it shouldn't be a problem according to you, right? Besides, I was just trying to help you out!" The girl seemed genuine as she thought about trying to help the other woman balance.

It was then the native raised her hand in a request for a high five. "Besides, you did a good job here! You've gotten a lot better and soon you'll be hopping from tree to tree without a problem!"
Aislinn

Aislinn walked up to Charlotte as she tried to balance - even without a breeze the woman had difficulty remaining still on her stone. The native approached, putting a hand on one of Charlotte's muscles and poking it - the piece of flesh felt nearly as hard as stone. "You need to relax - it's like you are trying to fight the world." Any imbalance with such tightened muscle would be amplified ...

For the next hour or so the native helped Charlotte on the small stone - the runes didn't activate but over time the black haired woman improved. Her legs were probably getting tired, and a quick glance down by the girl with multicolored hair had her place a hand on the foreigner's back as a support. "Good job, you will soon be like a cat!" Aislinn gave the other woman a large smile. "Sit down! I don't think it would be a good idea to continue!"

Throughout most of the training through Charlotte was acting strange ... like when she had been hugged the previous day. Her face was flushed but the air didn't smell like arousal ...

... perhaps their type simply smelled different from normal when they had problems? For a few seconds the native gave Charlotte a look before sitting down next to her. "Charlotte! You seemed distracted during our training ... I belong to Cait right now, but if you ever need a little time alone your Queen can go talk to her other subjects! It's springtime and I'm sure your people need release as well!" The native's tone seemed to be both excited and concerned - as if she was worried for Charlotte but proud of her discovery.
Aislinn

The native visibly cheered up as Charlotte smiled back at her, nodding with approval as the other woman agreed to her idea conditionally. Aislinn helped the other woman up then looked for two small but round rocks that they could stand on. "Okay. So first take off any footwear you have!" After removing the rough pair of sandals typically found among their population the girl hopped onto one of the rocks, balancing with both feet pressed together on top of it. "Now spread out your arms and stay like this for as long as you can." A breeze came by, pushing the native on her perch slightly but she remained. "I know it looks silly, but it'll help in the long run! Promise!"

It wasn't exactly Aislinn's idea of fun, but after Charlotte's lackluster performance on the natural bridge it would probably be a bad idea to have her attempt any more extreme stunts. Besides, it was hard to remain perfectly balanced with one's feet unnaturally close together.
Aislinn

Aislinn was glad she hadn't started with cartwheels. She had thought that perhaps she was being patronizing, but a yelp escaped her lips as the other woman disappeared into the water for several seconds.

"... Charlotte ...!"

The native ran over to the drenched woman as she climbed out of the river coughing as if she had almost drowned. For a moment she watched Charlotte as she tried to recover, concern written obviously across her face. The foreigner wasn't holding the smile of someone enjoying themselves. By the time Aislinn resumed her normal joking attitude, the black haired girl would have realized that it was probably done partially to defuse the situation.

The girl coughed before starting to boast. "... I ... ahem ... I, Aislinn, Queen of the Forest claim victory on this day!" She playfully put a foot up on the log, trying to look off to the air in an imperious manner.

Having finished her little game, the native walked over and extended a hand over to Charlotte in hopes that she would accept the help up, not realizing that the black haired woman weighed much more than her and would likely just pull her down if she grabbed on. "... I'm ... I'm sorry. That probably wasn't a lot of fun for you." A little guilt ran across Aislinn's face as it was obvious she hadn't intended for it to end this soon. "... maybe I could help you learn some basics?"

And perhaps learning some would help the other woman activate her tattoos in the process.
Aislinn

Aislinn pouted as Charlotte completed the task without taking a swim, but then smiled widely in excitement as it meant the competition would be more intense. The native decided to take this to the next level. "How about we go across, but like a rabbit?" The native ran back towards the log but this time instead of walking hopped across it jumping from steady area to steady area. The tree shifted beneath her feet but stayed in place well enough that the girl managed to get across without a soak.

"Now your turn! This river may not be cold, but my reign upon my victory shall be!" The native posed with her hands on her hips, face turned towards the sky in an attempt to be regal.
Aislinn

Aislinn practically jumped in excitement as she started leading Charlotte and herself towards the nearby river. She sensed something was up with the way the black haired woman was speaking but was glad to finally be recognize for the Queen of the forest that she was. For the first minute of the walk the girl with multicolored hair pictured how she wanted to completely prove to her subject how mighty she was in every single respect but eventually looked over towards her friend and gave her a beaming smile.

For a moment she seemed to reach her hand out to Charlotte's, but ended up withholding it as she realized that would likely make the other woman uncomfortable. It made her a little sad, but if she needed time to prepare herself for hugs then it would be rude to stop her.

Eventually the pair arrived to a narrower section of the river where a recently dead tree lay across forming a natural bridge over. The river itself was about thirty feet wide although the tree was much narrower with two feet hardly being able to be placed next to eachother. The native was curious about what felled such a young thing, but it served it's purpose. Although now she wasn't sure what this competition would consist of. "Ummmmmm ... let's start simple! Just going across it!" Aislinn jumped up onto the tree, feeling it shift just slightly beneath her feet as she walked across it with a completely normal pace. Eventually she arrived on the other side, giving Charlotte a confident smile as the river rushed beneath the log. "Your turn Charlotte! Your majesty will see you drenched!"
Aislinn

Aislinn nodded in agreement - she didn't want to get injured by trying to get Charlotte to hit her either as being tied up the previous day was already scary enough. Though soon enough an idea appeared in the native's mind as she thought up a new game. "I have an idea! How about we go down to the river and put a small branch across it! Then we could try and play a game of balance! Perhaps the thought of being drenched will be enough to activate the ones for balance?" A wide grin ran across the girl's face.

"I don't have any tunes for balance, but I'm Queen so therefore I expect to win anyways!" The girl assumed a more assertive stance towards Charlotte, already pumping herself up for a challenge that hadn't even been accepted yet, sticking out her chest slightly and pointing at the black haired girl to see if she would accept it.
Aislinn

Aislinn frowned as Charlotte called it just a color, although it turned back into a slight smile as she was thanked. And ... was Charlotte blushing? The native raised any eyebrow, but remembered the previous day's events. The black haired woman had practically gone mad upon being hugged.

Still though ... this meant that the other woman was able to activate her abilities when they were stressed. That either meant that Charlotte's people were only able to use the tattoos when in some sort of danger or being stressed allowed the alchemist to stop thinking and just accept. Of course, the nightvision the previous day had activated in a perfectly normal manner. "I'm ... how were you thinking of the tattoos when you ... activated them?" Despite the fact that Cait had only suffered a small injury in the grand scheme of things, it was obvious the younger native wanted to avoid thinking about her mate being injured. "Perhaps you should try invoking a similar sensation as then? What happened was unfortunate ... but if we could gleam something from it perhaps it would be worthwhile?" The native gave Charlotte a weak and uncertain smile.

The maierprinz nodded - they would have to indeed keep a close watch on the ninja to make sure she was alright. "She could be betraying us, but then the lies she is feeding us do give us information as well." In the sense that if they figured out one part of her story was false, that other parts likely were false as well. Or if something about her tale wasn't adding up early on. "Well, unless you have something for me to do my lady I'll wait out here for the others to come down. I think it would be good to start on this journey early on as the elder advised."
