Maoin let out a slight cry as she was slammed into the floor and she tried to take a breath to -

She couldn't breathe. The hands around her windpipe were suffocating her. Was this really how it was going to end - just a little more than a year after being a familiar having her life stop? Was this really going to be her ending? The demoness on top of her made more threats and Maoin was sure that-

The cat felt herself instinctively start coughing as she tried to gather her next breath and felt her lungs fill with air. Around the time she was starting to see her surroundings clearly again she saw Lady Gwynn standing in the doorway. Maoin blinked a couple times - brought a date home?

Marie of course had returned to her previous act, but the cat simply gave a scowl at her and refused to look in her direction as she walked towards Lady Gwynn with purpose. "Not my house." She proceeded to grab her former owner's hands, lead her downstairs, gave the headmistress a slight nod, grabbed a bottle of wine off a nearby table and led her companion out of the house where her composure collapsed into a pile.

The cat immediately took a swing although she was nowhere near drunk from it. Her body had gotten stronger since last time. "Thanks. T-that was going to get bad. Very bad." The cat's body shivered slightly. "I-I don't have any buisness being here anyways ... I should be serving the drinks, not enjoying them with this sort of company." Maoin's voice seemed to stutter slightly as the cat looked up at Lady Gwynn dependently. It would be rather apparent the cat was frightened, but not with her. "I ... K-know you rejected m-me but could you-you please walk me home? Back to my new mistress? Please?" It seemed like Maoin wanted to wrap herself around one of Lady Gwynn's arms and hug it close to her but forced herself to stop before going through with it.

Maoin looked at Lady Gwynn with big shaking eyes - it would probably be obvious the "date" had gone badly.

Maoin had hoped that she would have been let go. Of course, that isn't what happened.

The kitten winced in pain as she was slammed against the doorway.
It wasn't exactly the most comfortable position to be in and her instinctive urge to scream was caught up along with her breath when she found her mouth covered. Maoin looked wide eyed at the demon on top of her as she made her threats, the cat simply staring back.

On one hand it would probably be worse to anger Marie heir to the throne of pride more. On the other hand it seemed as if Maire had planned this from the beginning based on the fact the door was closed. Would it really make a difference to do nothing?

The cat's eyes drifted up to the damnable wings, fear filling them as they shook slightly and they began to water and a few whimpers escaped her lips. Then she slammed her foot as hard as possible as many times as she could manage while trying to open her mouth and rip into Marie's hand with her fangs.

If the woman let go of her face she would start screaming.

Didn't expect her to drink it ... why not? The kitten blinked a couple times until she heard Maire say cheap human stuff which meant she wasn't human ... then what was she? For a couple seconds as the woman continued to explain. Throne of pride?

The initial thought that she was a vampire drinking blood slipped from the kitten's mind as she realized that this was probably a demon. Which meant that this was going to turn very bad very quickly. Any thoughts of having fun times disappeared of course as she came across that realization and the girl obviously wanted her mother dead in some sort of selfish power struggles. All the pet comments and appreciating her as a servant suddenly made a lot of sense.

"Oh um yeah uh ..." Maoin immediately bolted towards the door with her cat-like agility and turned the nob as hard as she possibly could only to feel it not budge. Shit. The cat's eyes looked towards the demoness with a little fear as she backed up against the door. "L-let me go."

If the demon hesitated she would notice the cat begin to open her mouth as if to call on someone.

Meowka simply frowned not sure if she should believe such a ridiculous story or not. The cat stretched, looked at the other girls for a moment, and then hopped into a nearby tree and laid down on one of the branched out of everyone's reach as if preparing to take a nap. "Whatever. Just let her know I'll be handling some important business until she gets back." The cat would begin to fall asleep unless interrupted, likely dreaming about the things that made her happy in life.

Maoin let Marie pass wordlessly and without comment - it seemed the girl was used to being treated like this. Maoin stayed on her heels as they entered the house and she listened to the headmistress as she talked with the girl about her mother and spoke with the headmistress as if they were on familiar terms. A brief look around showed various people who were FAR above her station mingling about and enjoying themselves and suddenly felt very small.

The kitten was curious but didn't say anything as the two conversed until she was addressed unexpectedly. If she needed anything? The kitten gave a somewhat nervous curtsy unsure of how to respond. What could she possibly need ... aside from a little wine perhaps? "Thank you headmistress." Aside from backing away respectfully and grabbing two small glasses of wine off the table before heading upstairs however the cat didn't do much else as her and Marie entered one of the guest bedrooms where Maoin blushed across the face.

She was supposed to close the door for whatever was about to happen, right? The kitten reached behind her and pulled the door slowly closed before reaching out with one of the glasses of wine and offering it as she sat down on the bed face more than a little flushed.

"H-here." Although now would probably be a good time to ask the question that had been bugging her incessantly ever since she mentioned the headmistress' house. "W-who are you exactly? It seems like your mom is high ranking." Had she been addressing Marie improperly?

For a few minutes Meowka just stared out into space before eventually turning and looking at one of the dolls. "Is Mistress Katherine finished with the water bitch yet? Can you at least tell me that?" The kitten really hoped thtat one of them wouldn't raise one of their signs and try to communicate with her via writing and instead would simply nod or shake their heads in response.

If they didn't respond quickly the cat would simply turn her head up towards the sky and watch it once again as she waited. She supposed she could return hope and take a nap ...

A nap sounded great, really...

The cat closed her eyes as she leaned against the back of the bench and smiled slightly despite the noise of the festival.

WHOOOOOAOAOAOAOAOA?

There was a slight voice that was bothered by what Marie said, but a much louder voice made the kitten smile and blush slightly. It wasn't the first time that she had been called it, but being called adorable could never be a bad thing! "T-thanks Marie!" At least Lady Sorcha had good taste then.

The cat allowed Marie to walk slightly ahead of her until they arrived at which point Marie paused in front of the door. For a couple of seconds the cat hesitated before opening the door for her. "After you miss?" She seemed a little confused, but maybe the woman at least wanted her to try if they were going to spend the night together? That obviously was it, right?

As they entered the place though it would become rather clear though that Maoin was a little embarrassed by her chest as she covered it with one of her arms. At least it was c-cute, right?

There were only a few times in her life Meowka had been reduced though to being in tears - this was one of them. She wasn't meant to go through and ordeal like that and being unable to flee from it simply made the entire situation worse. Her body felt like it was floating - not an unpleasant feeling, but one that wasn't worth what she just went through.

Wordlessly the cat left the tent and walked outside of it not even bothering to look at the traitorous dolls as she went to go find a bench to sit down on it as she wordlessly flopped her tail into her lap and just held it for a bit.

She was a prowler of the night, right? How could she not have managed to escape? Despite attempts to appear normal it was rather apparent that the girl was upset with both herself and the dolls as she blatantly chose to refuse to look at them. And yes, she was angry at her mistress as well. She knew the woman was somehow involved in this, and it didn't make her any happier to know that.

Maoin smiled as Marie told them about where Lady Lightsword was at earlier although frowned slightly as she mentioned they needed to get going. She'd love to talk to the Lightswords more of course, but she came out her to talk with Marie and they'd probably enjoy talking with their family members more. Although Lady Solana appeared to really like her and it broke her heart just a little to have to raise up off her knees and give her an apologetic smile before bowing to them. "Yes Lord Percival and Lady Solana, I must get going. Maybe we'll see each other and we can talk then, Lady Solana?"

Still though Maoin's eyes went over to Marie's hand motion and she gave off a smile and felt her heart flutter just slightly as she jumped after the beckoning hand and walked next to Marie until she caught up and immediately felt her face flush and look downwards as she remembered their previous conversation. She-she had said a date, right? And Lady Sorcha said she could spend the day with her so ...

... the kitten's tail went back and forth happily as she wondered with curiosity where the night was going. "... You said the headmistress' villa, right? Do I ... Do I need to change?" Now that she thought about it she perhaps shouldn't show up in servants garb to a formal event if she wasn't supposed to be working there.

Meowka frowned slightly as the man mentioned dogs, although smiled as he massaged her in a relaxing manner and even arched her back into it. Oh this was divi-

The cat's tail immediately shot straight into the air as she felt one of the hands press hard into her shoulderblade letting out a telltale unhappy mewl followed by a hostile hiss as he continued to press his hands into her back. "W-what are you doing?! Gen- ahh!" She tried to pull away from the large man, but it was far too easy for the guy who could crush her to keep her there despite her struggles. The cat swore she could feel her bones bending just a little as she began to fight back against him. It didn't seem that he was going to stop with any amount of polite struggling.

Fine.

The cat twisted her body and clawed at the man's arm to make her verbal statement very clear. "Stop!"

Maoin simply enjoyed the pettings she received from Marie as she listened to the conversation although stood up since Solana hadn't taken her up on the offer of petting her - which made the kitten a little sad. Was she trying to act reserved now?

"Sir Percival it is simply Maoin. I apologize for having you at a disadvantage." The kitten curtsied politely. "No, I'm not a familiar right now. I belong to Lady Sorcha - Lady Lightsword's dragon familiar." The cat gave a quick look towards Marie. "I'm just with her because ..."

Maoin blushed with great intensity for two reasons. The first one is because she didn't want to say out loud that because her mistress was likely enjoying her alone time with Lady Lightsword a bit too much. The second reason though was ... well ... what was she supposed to say, because she thought the girl was cute and wanted someone to spend the night with and that she was recommended to do so by her owner?

The cat simply hoped that Marie would explain things in a suitable manner.

W-wait how did - slam. As Ritsa somehow launched herself the phoenix wasn't in control enough to redirect the way she was going that quickly and instead managed only to remain vertical for half a second before the two of them simply went sprawling across the ice in a bundle as they rolled over it together. The surface was hard and the phoenix got a few scrapes from it but luckily for both of them they healed quickly.

Eventually though Ritsa would find herself on top as the pair of them struggled slightly in their little play fight that was going on. The phoenix simply looked to the right and flushed her face slightly as she decided to respond. "... you win, alright ...?" Fia's voice was more quiet as usual, although she didn't really seem to upset about Ritsa's sneak attack or victory.

Meowka was honestly a little surprised that the dolls actually knew what she wanted! The prowler of the night gave the little servants a smile and even rubbed her hand against one of their cheeks affectionately as she looked towards the large man.

Those muscles meant he would have endurance, right? The ability to make her feel great for hours! Meowka simply imagined the bliss that she would feel as she laid there and let the big guy do his work on her. The cat hopped on to the table, turned in a circle once, then laid down on it and stretched slightly as she waited for the action to begin as she gave the guy a big smile before closing her eyes as if prepared to take a nap.

Was she supposed to say anything? "Do yhu have any cats?" Truthfully the prowler of the night was always curious about who kept her sort around normally. Quite frankly they were crazy but most of them made good servants.

Maoin was both happy and apprehensive as the girl in front of her began to respond. "Oh, it's the cute kitten!" The girl giggled a bit and the cat couldn't resist the urge to turn her head away just a bit as Marie restated her previous feelings. "You aren't just stopping to say hi to little ol me are you? Aww, that's sweet!~" The cat hadn't done this before and wasn't even sure how to respond to that, so she simply remained silent and ...

As her chin was turned up by the other girl's hands though she couldn't look away and simply blushed more heavily in silence as the girl began to spew out more innuendos about how they'd be playing together and grabbing her hands ... hands ... and ... pet ... It took a couple of seconds for the kitten to gather herself as the other girl finished an started to begin to nod-

Suddenly her own hands were forced away from the announcers as the cat suddenly heard 'KITTY' before being tackled to the ground by some unseen force. Maoin let out an umph as she recovered, looking on as 'Solana' was pulled off by a man who was now extending a hand to help her up - which she accepted gratefully as she took a look at the red-haired girl and then him in order to thank-

- h-he was in armor, as if he was a knight and his crest was ... a L-LIGHTSWORD? Percy? Maoin immediately took a respectful step back and gave a low curtsy before returning to her original position. "N-no my lord I should have been more aware of my surroundings." She took a look over to the younger girl. Normally she'd be a bit more annoyed but if she was the knight's charge ... "Thank you Lord Lightsword. Like Lady Luna your generosity is extreme." Was Lord Percy a ... brother? Cousin?

Either way she didn't want to give the impression that she had been bothered because of it.

Then Maoin turned towards the smaller girl before lowering herself down on her knees to make her head more easily reached. "Lady Solana, correct? It's fine my lady, just be more gentle alright?" As if to illistrate what she was inviting the girl for, she twitched one of her ears and wagged her tail around to make it apparent. She gave Marie an apologetic look (and certainly wouldn't mind receiving pets from her), but she couldn't allow any noble of the Lightsword house to feel bad on her behalf. Not after all they've done and after all Lady Lightsword had done either.

Fia followed Gwynn's instructions as the lake in front of her was covered - and she slid to a stop after a second and rotated slightly due to the angle of her front foot. For a couple of seconds she just sat there, but then she began to giggle a bit as she started going forward a bit more and then turned towards Ritsa and gave her a mischievous grin before giving her a little shove and then trying to race off in the opposite direction as quickly as she could manage.

Turn her first foot, let herself curve away, then go forward like that.

Of course, Ritsa would probably catch her - she didn't exactly have a plan when that happened aside from continuing to give her a teasing smile.

Meowka simply turned up her nose and muttered a single word with conviction to the annoying little cretin that ran the pointless game stall. "Nope." With a wave of her hand she began to walk away and after a couple of minutes looked over her shoulder. "Massages - Pampering - Spa." The cat was giving out keywords to the dolls so that they could possibly understand what she was trying to convey better and possibly find her the actually appropriate stall to make sure she could relax in a heavenly state.

A few tents around her had signs but even the pictures were difficult to comprehend. She knew places with frying pans cooked things and didn't just sell cookware ... but aside from that she was still a little lost.

Maoin couldn't resist having her eyes practically bulge out from her head as she heard Lady Sorcha issue her an order and a very strong suggestion. "Y-yeah ... M-m ..." The kitten left the stage and went down to Lady Lightsword and brought her red-faced to the dragoness before departing.

Of course it hadn't been an order, but she didn't have much else to do at the fair alone since she had already spent all her money on clothing and various gifts ... it didn't take long for the cat to track down her quarry as she headed through the streets with some purpose. Soon enough she appeared at Marie's side with so much blood rushed to her skin that it was a surprise her organs had enough to maintain themselves.

Eventually Maoin managed to gather to courage to say something intelligible. "H-hi?" The kitten looked down towards the ground and held her tail tightly in her hands as if that would solve all of her problems as she seemed to be waiting for a response of some sort without knowing what she really wanted.

The Dragon would probably be disappointed by her lack of confidence, but that was all she could manage.

"H-hey!" The phoenix exclaimed as she was bushed forward on the ice by the hydra and extended her arms in an instinctual effort to balance herself as she tried to slow down, but the unexpected shove made her lose all control of the situation as she wasn't experienced enough to deal with it as she approached the edge of the ice and was about to head into the water.

"H-help!"

Meowka looked towards the stall owner as she was addressed. "I am Meowka, prowler of the night and companion to the realm's most powerful archwizard!" However she accepted the horseshoes and looked at the man as they were passed over. "I accept your offering. Now that I know the goal ..."

Twenty seconds later the horseshoes are laid around the target in a five foot ring, as if they were intended by some divine force to stay away from the target. The cat looked on, blinking in confusion about how she could have done badly at all in this competition. Well of course she couldn't do badly - she was a prowler of the night. "You haven't seen that great of a display before, have you?!"
