Alex Clark - Sub-urbs - Scouts - Danny/Rudy

Shaking hands with Rudy, or Danny, he took a good look at the guy, hoping to see why he wanted to stay somehow, which he didn't ofcourse, and then took a look at the two others. This Shannon-person seemed to know Rudy pretty well. The teeenager on the other hand followed the scene with big eyes as Rudy said his goodbyes to the group. What Rudy said to him, or rather them, though, was really hearthwarming for a reason. Despite Reggie's last month of paranoia, he had been a good man, and most certainly a good scout. "Rudy, or Danny, or whatever your bloody name is, you better take care of yourself and those two there. I want to talk about these days with you in a cafe over 10 years." He told the man, sincerely hoping that not only there would be 'one day' but also that Rudy'd be there with them. He hated leaving him behind here, but it was not his coice to make.

As Rudy moved over to Jamieto shake hands for a goodbye, the man started protesting again, upon which Alex placed a hand on his shoulder, and firmly shook no with his head. Jamie gave him an evil look, but Alex would not bulge untill the guy finally shook hands with Rudy and stepped back, cursing with passion but soft enough so noone would hear.

As the two groups left eachother and the three guys made their way back to the car the tension was almost tangible. It was clear that nobody liked this situation, and that none of the three scouts were convinced of the need of Rudy leaving them, but they all could understand his arguments to a certain degree, which only made it worse. Once inside the car they got on their way towards the Pub again, when Jamie broke the silence. "The fuck is he leaving us for like this, out here in walkerland." Alex who was driving the car again could almost feel Chris twitching and decided to be earlier than the other guy. "He is hardly abandoning us Jamie, he is doing what he believes is better for all of us, those two others included. Thereby, we can't stop him, can we now? If it's his choice to stay we have to respect that." He said, effectively ending the conversation untill they were back at the Pub. As they walked inside Cody could see on their faces that something went wrong, and immediately asked the inevitable question. "Is he ... dead?" Alex put down his gun on the table again and took a seat as he answered. "No, he's still alive and in good shape. He found two other survivors in that mess though, and he's sticking with them. Before you ask, I believe he must've known them from before the outbreak, and be honest, can we really stop him if it's his wish to stay?" He said, taking a swig from his canteen filled with water. "Anyway, we better get back soon, they'll be worrying about us. How is our roadkill doing?"

Rolling his eyes as he saw and heard Chris and Jamie entering in the so-manieth bickering amongst the two, he silently cursed in the privacy of his own skull. He wanted to knock their heads together and keep their minds on the task at hand. They couldn't quite agree with eachother on most subjects it seemed, and they both just did not stop rubbing that in. A sound behind him made him train his gun or a silhouette appearing behind a broken fence, and he quickly lowered his gun when he realized it was Rudy. Or Danny, whichever it was. As the bickering pair stopped sending eachother silent stares as Rudy approached, followed by a girl and a younger lad, who seemed to be in his mid-teens.

He waited patiently for Rudy to finish talking to fire some questions in return, when Rudy casually asked him if he would notify Myriah that he would not be coming back. Not coming back? Telling Myriah? Wait what? He frowned in surprise and stepped forwards, letting the rifle hang over his shoulder, within quick reach, but not in his hands, to show that he meant no harm to the two strangers. "You're leaving just like that?" He asked rather agressively, and immediately toned down his voice a bit as he realized how he sounded. "I mean, why? Who are those two anyways, and how did you find them? I mean, come on, we lost you in a bloody shitstorm in the middle of a crawler herd, and now you've found two survivors and suddenly don't want to return anymore? What's going on... Rudy?" He then added on a reasonable and calm tone. He could accept Rudy not wanting to return, but the least he could do was explain why.
Thanks for the critique and advice! I'm having a slight break in drawing as most of my sketches now appear on my university notes again, and collecting them, grading them and uploading them is such a hassle. I'll post some soon so you can all see how horribly little I've improved so far, and I'll takeup on your advice. I was abit shy of posting critiques here, but now you mentionned it, we are all artists to some degree, and it can most likely never hurt to hear multiple opinions about your work. Let's get this silence out of the way and start posting drawings again!
Thomas Erhart - Squad 19

Saluting once more before running off Thomas tried remembering who the people on his team were as soon as his name was called off along with those of two others. Noelle Ahn... She was that Oriental girl right? Pretty rare nowadays considering everything. He didn't know anything about how the world looked before the titans came over a hundred years ago, but he did know that most people living here were locals, broadly speaking. Other 'races' of humans caught inside quickly assimilated into the blob of the ruling one, but in rare case you'd find someone like Noelle. The other guy, Jean-Paul Martin was a guy he did know. A rather arrogant and antisocial brat who happened to have some talent for moving around. Sadly it seemed that he intended to waste that skill in the MP.

Rushing into his 3DMG he grabbed his gear as fast as possible. 9AM was in 15 minutes, so they had less than a little time, considering how much of a hassle it was to put on one's 3DMG. Luckily his experienced hands quickly fastened all belts so he could grab some stuff he found specifically useful to bring along. He grabbed his knife, a flint&steel, and then started packing those in the small backpacks upon which he strapped his sleeping bag. He always wanted to carry his knife with him if he went on a 'real' mission. It was a decent tool, but an even better weapon. Little did his teammates know that the blood of three different persons already had stained it before. Rushing towards the stables he realized he was there at about 8:57AM. Just in time. Searching in the growing crowd for Noelle and Jean-Paul, who he was planning to name JP Martin, he awaited further instructions.

"Me, driving?" He replied somewhat surprised. "I must confess it's been a very long time since I last did, nevermind think about it." He replied with the faintest of smiles, before getting into the driver's seat. He had learned how to drive, once. Once everyone was inside he got the car into motion, and carefully made his way towards the spot where they lost Danny, trying to learn how the car reacted before he crashed into something again. He had some doubts about leaving Cody and the anonymous man they had hit on the way here back there just like that, but they had to look for him now the trail was still fresh.
Sub-urbs

After a little while they found themselves at the sub-urbs again without any incidents on the road. As the car stopped, and Alex looked around to see if it was safe, he realized howmuch damage the storm had done to the environment. Picket fences were lying about, doors ripped from their respective houses, and one tree had lost the fight against the wind and now was stuck in the roof of a house like a knife in a cake. Getting out of the car and grabbing his rifle he tried recognizing the street they had been scavenging in not even an hour and a half ago, and was taken aback by the power of the storm. It would make things, more difficult. At least, he thought, the crawlers seemed to have been blown away aswell, as none seemed to be around at a first glance.
Or you could like, ask me? D:

"Anyone want tea?" she asked. Her voice sounded shaky.

Chris almost laughed. "I think Jamie needs some." Jamie nodded his head in agreement and Hazel worked quickly to pour him a cup.

"I don't think Rudy could have gone far. He didn't... have a car like we did, after all." Jamie paused to blow at his steaming cup. "We have to find or, or... I'll feel awful."

He'd be feeling very awful, Chris thought. Once Enrique got a hold of him, anyway. "I have to agree," Chris said, turning to Alex. "He's probably holding out in one of the houses around there. A sturdy one."

"Thanks for the tea ... eh ..."
"Hazel, my name's Hazel. If you guys need anything...?" She replied quickly, eyeing them all briefly.
"No, we'll be fine for now." Alex replied after looking at the other two guys. He took the steaming hot cup of tea and warmed his hands on it for a moment. He never really liked tea, nor coffee, but a hot drink was more than welcome now. If anything the 'apocalypse' learned him to stop being picky about both food and drinks. He sipped, burned his lips and swallowed a curse along with some way too hot tea, and continued following the conversation.

"Yeah. Once this bloody storm is gone, we'll go look for Danny." He concluded their thoughts, stopping them from pondering about the what-if's. Instead, he turned the conversation in a new direction. "Now Jamie, if we drive back there tomorrow, or whenever the weather's calm again, do you think you'll be able to find the place where you lost him? That'd be a good reference point to start looking. After that, it's just a matter of finding all nearby places that we'd consider safe for the storm and if we've got any luck, Danny'll be there somewhere."

Carefully putting the man down where the woman directed them, he let out a loud sigh once all the tension was done. They were safe. For now. The raging storm outside still ruled over any ongoing conversation inside, but it didn't silence it. The small building filled with survivors felt like a candle in the night. Stepping back and leaning against the wall he shivered. He was soaked to the bone and the whipping winds outside hadn't helped at all. Excitement and excercise had kept him warm untill now, but now he was cooling off really quickly. Cody, who had remained in the carand was mostly dry took care of the unconscious man while he and Chris took a moment's respite. As Alex undid the first of his two sweaters and hung it somewhere to dry a bit, Chris started speaking to him. "Eh, no problem man. Got to keep a clear head in such situations..." He replied a bit awkwardly, surprised by the honest praise.

As he undid the second sweater thunder spoke outside and reminded everyone of the dreadful situations outside. Despite the inhabitants' best efforts the storm's dark embrace had left the interior of the house in an eery yet mild darkness. Alex stopped thinking about the storm for a moment as Cody spoke to both of them. "Ofcourse. We can't leave him out here either. We've got to try at least. He'd definately do the same for us." Alex replied on a serious and convinced tone. He didn't know what Chris thought about it, but he definately didn't want to give up on Rudy yet, unlike Jamie.

Talking about Jamie... He beckonned Chris as he made his way to the table where Jamie was resting his head in his hands, and took a seat right across. For a moment he felt like unleashing all of his frustration and anger about the loss of Danny and this entire situation on him, but he recognized Jamie's position as one he had foundhimself in not too long ago, and being agressive would only deteriorate the situation. Instead, he took a moment to calm down as he inspected Jamie a bit. "Jamie. Look, what happened out there, it's okay. Everyone is prone to panicking, and it's nothing to be ashamed of. Nevertheless, we need to know what happened out there. When you last saw Rud- Danny- whatever, was he still alive?"
This is correct. Alex is English too, and I'm almost sad noone noticed the accent yet :D Granted, he didn't really meet people in the right circumstances for that, but whatever :D
Thomas Erhart

He looked down at the guy who had seated next to him and accepted his hand after emptying his mouth. "The name's Thomas. Nice to meet you." He said to the younger guy, apparently called Jay. He could recall his face, and he remembered the guy being not too shabby during the 3DMG excercises and climbing excercises, despite his moaning. He had noticed however how he didn't seem to take the 'human' combat classes didn't quite achieve to generate a similar level of interest, as he seemed to play more than he actually fought.
