You could always have him arrive at the last second, potentially with Raven in tow, should she agree?

she'll get in so much trouble for going but yeah, that would work. ^^
we can always make a co-op post too.
i don't want you to feel like you have to miss it since we're in the middle of conversation.

It doesn't really matter to me if he goes or not. Like, if he can't convince Raven to go, he'll just miss it trying, or he'll have just convinced her and the door is already closed. xD
So long as there's something for him to do if he does end up missing it, I don't mind. :)

I'm going to sit here and hope a bunch of new posts suddenly pop up in the IC ._.

You and me both. xP
I am most definitely good. Pretty sure Tyler's gonna miss the ball, though. Oh well. xD
The hood of Isaac’s jacket was up. For as long as his skin was thick and leathery, he wore it that way. It had always been to protect the innocent bystanders, he told himself. He didn’t want his presence to make anyone else feel unsafe, or fearful. Of course, there was the added bonus that those who could not see his skin could not ridicule, but more often than not, ridicule of the unknown is born out of some type of fear, and so his hood was up for others – he reasoned. And yet here he was, sitting in the middle of a room with others just like him, no reason for any of them to fear him as he to fear them. They were all brothers and sisters, apparently, and amidst the few introductions already made, the show of powers, the witty talk of joining Ms. Blackburn’s cause, Isaac discovered a new trait in himself that perhaps he had always known.

He was selfish.

The word was naturally tainted with a bad flavor, but he meant no malice or self-contempt when he used it to describe part of his being. Every person alive had the right to selfishness – to put a few of their needs above the needs of others. Isaac’s need was the ability to walk alongside a fellow human and not feel like a freak. He had felt this need and had attempted to cover it up with noble intentions, but it is what it is. And now he had to also decide if he should be selfish in the case presented before him. He had set out on his journey from home to return to the Ark, possibly find others like him, but then what? He had no idea what he would do after, and now Sarah was handing him his options on a silver platter.

Go and hide, possibly risking death and putting those you love in danger – or, join her and maybe fight? Have a better chance at survival? But then leave behind the life you had. For a brief moment, Isaac considered possibly going back to his father and going into hiding with him and Ilene. The idea was the definition of the word selfish. Isaac entertained the idea for a moment; he had already made it this far by hiding outside of America, but how long before those who were committing these crimes would find him? The young man pursed his lips and looked around the room. Aside from those who had already signed on – and perhaps even in their faces – he saw others struggling with the same decision he was mulling over. Could they really all leave the life they had? Possibly forever?

Unlike some of the others, maybe even all, Isaac had months to think on this idea. Though he didn’t know he would make it this far, he had decided long ago that he had been made for something, so he might as well look into it. And yet, even then, in the back of his mind, he thought that he would be back in time for the next major holiday or his birthday or something. Isaac would have returned to his father and tell him all that he found or not found and then together they would come up with a plan. Maybe he would have even brought any new brothers or sisters he found with him, and they would set up a sort of base with his father to help them. Isaac sighed quietly, well aware that all of that had been nothing more than wishful thinking. He knew which answer was the right one, and he also knew that same answer would be safest for his father and Ilene as well.

Frowning slightly, Isaac dipped his head, making sure to keep most of his face covered by the hood, and raised a hand - much like the first of his brothers to speak. “I am Isaac,” he stated plainly, “And I would like to know what exactly we would be doing…”
Outside Male Dorms

“I am not invited…I can’t go—uh, don’t mind me though. You should go, I insist.” Raven smiled, genuinely. “I was looking for someone…but I would be happy to escort you two back. It’s no problem.”
Not invited? Tyler raised an eyebrow. Before he could ask, though, the other guy – Liam – said something about having to do something beforehand, and then just left. Puzzled, Tyler frowned. “That’s weird,” he muttered, “What could he possibly have to do? He’s already dressed… ” Just about tired of all that the strange college had presented him with on only the first day, Tyler glanced back at Raven, fully prepared to politely deny her offer to escort him. But something made him pause.

“Wait a minute,” he said, almost to himself, but turned accusing eyes on the other girl as he continued “You’re dressed as though you’re heading to a ball.” He was not wrong, her dress – though very different – was far too formal for a walk outside the dorms or any evening she could have planned with whomever she was waiting on. Plus, she was also wearing a mask – one that he just knew wasn’t some strange fashion statement. “Don’t lie to me,” Tyler frowned, knowing he had her beat, “You’re even wearing a mask.”

Pursing his lips, the younger studied the older, recalling how fidgety and nervous she had been before, when those girls had been here. At first, he attributed it to the fact that they clearly knew each other and might have history, but then he remembered how she wouldn’t even look him nor Liam in the eye. Suddenly, her happy demeanor seemed a very odd change. Curious, Tyler tilted his head. “Do you not want to go?” he inquired.
That sounds like a good group, small enough to get attacked, and there would be enough people left behind to come to the rescue.
Wait, so who?
If it's alright, I wouldn't mind Chase being on the trip. :)
Outside Male Dorms

"Now, leave the poor guy be. I mean, he can't be too bad. If they let bitches like you in before this I'd say they went uphill from your year." Tyler turned, surprised that someone actually came to his “rescue”, though he hardly felt that the situation called for such. Still, he was grateful for the backup. The guy who spoke looked several years older than him, and was wearing a simple black and red tuxedo with a black and red mask, which almost seemed to amplify the cold stare he was shooting at the girls.

Said girls in question seemed to morph from mocking to downright murderous at his comment, and Lilly immediately switched her focus to him, raising an accusing finger and jabbing it at him. “How dare-“ she started to hiss, before being interrupted by yet another voice. “Excuse me.” Tyler turned again at the quiet voice, finding this time a blonde girl only seeming a year or two older than him. “I believe there is a strict no bullying policy you signed… you’re not Freshmen after all—and that’s the only reason you’re acting this way toward them, right?” Her voice wavered a bit, giving away her lack of confidence, and the other girls picked up on it almost immediately, bursting into a wicked laughter. The blonde girl fiddled with her fingers.

“Odessa is that you?” Victoria laughed, “Easy to say something you’re unrecognizable, isn’t it?” She briefly closed in on the girl, as if to include her in the group ridicule before Lilly finally seemed to cave. “Forget them, a waste as always.” She sneered, signaling their exit before the two walked off. Tyler sighed in relief, glad that the confrontation was over, and looked towards the ‘Odessa’ girl. She refused to look neither him nor the other guy in the face, but spoke more towards the ground or the air around them. “They are trying to assert their dominance, I guess…Apologizes. You probably shouldn’t have worn such flashy outfits, makes you easier to spot.” The way she held herself vaguely reminded Tyler of a rabbit or a doe – if you moved too quickly or spoke too loudly, she might just run off.

” I am Raven--by the way, only my nemeses call me Odessa…” She continued, ”Aren’t you two going to be late? The doors will be locking soon.” Tyler pursed his lips, nodding. “Thanks,” he looked over at the other guy, “To both of you, I guess. I’m Tyler” he sighed, looking in the general direction of the impending ball, “And yeah, we should probably all head to the Grand Hall, before it’s too late.”
Sweet! :)
He can go or he can't, I really don't mind either way. So if you're about to have the Headmistress speak go right on ahead. :)
