“Oh, this?” Sammy motioned to his hat, “I got it from Luffy.” he said as he took another bite of his meat.
Griff showed his stupid happy grin again and patted Sammy on the back “ you don’t say, kia kia kia, so, are you following in his footsteps? why are you here ? If I’m not intruding too much in asking.”
“Following? i don’t follow anyone. and i’m here to get find a navigator.”
Griff ignored the stupidity of the “following” comment and just continued “OH, a navigator eh? how many people do you have in your crew, I believe your crew can use someone like me in it, I have a particular set of skills that may interest you, interested?”
“Skills?’ What kind of skills?”
Griff took the whole piece of meat from Sammy’s hand waved it back at him “Skills like these”
“OI! give me back my meat!”
‘’It’s ok, here, though you might want this straw hat with the meat too,”
Sammy looked up to see that his hat had in fact been taken. shooting Griff a glare, he took back his meat and hat placing the latter back on his head with a short “hmph”
“as you can see I’m very crafty at acquiring items, for free, without the owner knowing of it”
The bartender left the drinks on the table and Griff lifted it towards Sammy “So, what do you think?”
“... are you strong?”
“Well… I’m not fond of fighting but, I can hold my own…. well…. not fiscally”
“Can you navigate?”
“Well….no”
“then you can’t join.”
Griff’s face turned to stone… he blew it, he panicked, getting up in a flash he said ”What! why not!? “
“Because you tried to take my treasure.” Sammy stood up and downed the drink that was bought for him “Thanks for the drink.” with that, he grabbed his meat and left.
“Wait!“ Griff left some coin on the table, grabbed his cart and followed Sammy out, a few feet behind him “I’m not giving up you know! I’ll follow you till you let me join!” He had an annoyingly angry expression that let out a dark vibe “I did not get this far to just give up now” he thought “ I’ll join his crew even if it’s as a stowaway”
“jeez you’re annoying, i’m not gonna let you join so just stop” Sammy continued walking down the alleyway munching on his meat.
