Class: Shadow Vanguard - A highly speed-based class that that gains increasing stacks of "Momentum" while moving in the shadows. Uses shields, which deals increasingly more shadow damage depending on the amount of momentum.
Class Appearance: Gaius has a simple, completely black outfit similar to ninja garb, his only armor being a sheen-less grey metal breastplate with matching bracers. His black round shield is about 2 1/2 feet wide.
Skills:
Shadow Force (Passive) - While moving in darkness, the Shadow Vanguard gains Momentum. Momentum increases speed at the cost of control, and is expended on most attacks to add damage. Momentum decays while in light, and completely empties out when stopped.
Night Walk - The Shadow Vanguard creates a path of darkness that ignores the normal lighting.
Shield Bash - The Shadow Vanguard expends all Momentum to deal shadow damage in a cone, with the most damage being dealt to the initial target and sharply decreasing over distance.
Cross Skills:
Transfer - Passes on Momentum to an ally. (If they do not have Shadow Force, Momentum will not increase while moving in shadows.)

Limit Break:
Infinite Shadows - By forcing all of the energy--light and matter--out of an area, it becomes a space of absolute darkness, or a perfect vacuum. Moving through this, the Shadow Vanguard can instantly gain infinite momentum for an infinitely short amount of time. During that instant, the outside of the user's body is eaten away as the void attempts to create equilibrium. Along with eating away the user, the light, originally forced out, snaps back in and warps the space around it.
