I'm definitely one of those people who never changes their avatar or signature and I'm 100% ok with that.

I'm not sure what I did to lure you here but I do apologize and I also would like to welcome you to my page. Now with the pleasantries aside, a bit about me.

I have been role playing for about 3 maybe 4 years now, I love writing and I spend a lot of free time doing just that. I also spend a lot of time that is meant to be for work writing but that's another story. I live in the American midwest (think great lakes region) so that should give you an idea of my timezone. That being said I am often up at many hours of the night, or morning depending on your point of view.

I am indeed a girl and she/her whatever works.

Light's humming became more frantic as time dragged on, until what sounded amusingly enough like an old school bell rang, "I'm going to go now and every thing is going to be fine." Light was trying to reassure Elysia but it felt more like she was reassuring herself. Light opened her eyes to find herself a prison cell, not much unlike the while blankness that she was so used to. It was unfortunate, but Light had almost forgot what being in control felt like. In the shared-mind space there was no need to eat, sleep, or feel. Feeling was probably the only thing that was sometimes there but it was in direct correlation to what the other souls did to each other, even standing in that place was more like floating. She sat herself up on the cot that she had been placed on and immediately regretted it, while she could heal herself all she wanted, wounds still hurt like crazy for a little while after being healed.
I'm not giving up on this any time soon.
I know, lessons learned, they aren't bad people they are just some of the duller knives in the drawer. I found it hard to believe and almost laughed at them, I think that they thought I was just making up a prefix for meter to sound smart.

Also, where would the police take two metas in Hope? We never really discussed the structure of the justice system because they never existed before.
I didn't say it was awkward but it was pretty funny because I didn't realize the reason why they were staring at me like that until one of them asked me what kilometer was. Looking back on that they must have been quite dumb to have never even heard of a kilometer, they thought I was making it up for a while.
I know, but in America its weird to use the metric system on a regular basis, most people switch between the two but they don't really understand how it works besides centimeters and meters. I once was talking about the obscene length of something and I used kilometers instead of miles and I got the weirdest look from the people I was talking to.
Well duh, of course nothing is going to be done. Even if we do end up changing it no one is really going to listen. I personally decided to use the metric system after I was taught the basics of it, I'm sure there are still things I'm doing wrong but I like it.
Aisyle's unconscious state mixed with the soul link as well as the communicator chips should have allowed him to peak into the shared mind space of his opposite but it was almost like someone had shut the curtains and there was nothing he could do to change that.
Light had escaped Dark's hell scape just a few minuets after Elyisa, who hadn't noticed because she was too busy tormenting Dark. That had not been her first trip into Dark's mind but sadly it was the last straw. She had an eerie smile on her face as she encased Elyisa in the same bindings that had Dragged Dark away. Elysia opened her mouth but she was soon restricted by yet another strand and was rendered silent. "It's okay, I'm not crazy, I just need a little vacation and I don't want you to get in my way." The look in Light's eyes said otherwise, Elysia could tell Light was still half there but what was left was fading fast. Light had always been on the edge but that was when it came to villains, she had a tendency to break more than a few eggs when trying to make omelet. Light hummed a happy tune as she paced waiting for her body to be fully healed
While that sounds awesome I'm really only interested in getting rid of fractions, I can't count the number of arguments I've had with various people who wanted me to use them. It's not that I don't know how it's just that I choose not to. I would much rather have to use centimeters and ect. rather than inches because the customary (or whatever it's called) is really stupid, I don't like that there are twelve inches in a foot or three feet in a yard there is just no consistency but that's not nearly as bad as quarts, pints, and the like.

I don't mean to insult anyone, but I think that it's not something you LACK, per se. I think it's something you have too much of. Pride. The Americans refuse to conform to the rest of the world. This can be seen in your measuring systems from distance to temperature. Also, your culture is more open to the individual hero, as well as the use of violence, which can be seen in your media, as well as your crime rates.

That is probably one of the most true things I've heard about America in a while.
The difference between America and the Netherlands is that Americans are pretty self centered, we are pretty bad at making choices based on the true common good but we are fun at parties and we are the theme of some parties. I lived with an relative in Germany for a while and there were a couple of American parties that I was invited to. The Netherlands is a cool place, like the rest of Europe. I'm not totally sure what it is but it seems like most of the world has something that America lacks. Maybe we hate our government too much?
