Faeya's eyes shot open as she felt the wind thrash against her cheek. She saw no trace of the princess and she ran to the window. She looked toward the surface and she felt bile raise in her throat. "NORA!" she screamed in agony. Her best friend, her sister, is gone! She might not see her ever again! She ran toward the door of the room and tried to escape, but such a task was impossible. The door was unable to be broken into by anyone unless they had the key. She felt tears well in her eyes. Not only had she lost her best friend, but she had no way of escaping. Unless...she completely forgot she was a fae! She closed her eyes and thought of the air carrying her out of the tower and onto the ground safely. It took some time, but it was accomplished. She landed on the ground, but she knew that if the guards came with her, they'd kill the princess. Faeya had some idea of where they were taking her, but she had to get the guards off her track.

A stage decorated with a conveyor belt contraption stood toward the front of the townspeople of Death Valley. As usual, the richest were in the front and the poorest in the back. Everyone was dressed as if they were attending the Grammies. A man in a mask dressed in a black tuxedo and red dress shirt entered the stage. He held a microphone in his hand and he said in a masculine tone "Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the Tenth Anniversary of the Decision Ceremony." Claps rose from the audience and the man, assumingly the mayor, bowed slightly. " Thank you, thank you. Now, today is the day that five lucky gentlemen are decided to have which beautiful human. We have done this for the past ten years and today we have a special treat! The five mortals are themed! Yes, we will see five elemental dress themes this evening!" Cheers from the crowded auditorium rang through the five human girls' ears as they are tied by the ankles and their arms are tied to a chair.

The mayor continued "Now the lucky gentlemen are..." He pulled out an envelope. "Jasper Crimson, Javak, Tresh, Tarlach, and Michelangelo Hart. Please come to the stage to meet your mortal!" Gasps, giggles, and claps ran through the auditorium.

Faeya sat in the chair with the tape over her mouth. She wiggled and mumbled to escape. I need to get out of here[i], she thought as she looked around. [i]How dare they trick me in such a way! This is inhumane! She watched as a man with claws walked toward the lights and her eyes widened. Where am I? Am I going to die? Oh gosh! I can't die! Atleast not now!

Faeya's eyes widened as the knife cut through her skin and the drug seeped into her veins. A memory flashed before her as she dreamed. It was the first time Nora and her met. Young Faeya walked up to the girl and smiled. 'Hi! I'm Faeya! I'm your new friend!' Young Faeya, much more bold and knowledgeable than the older one, knew instantly of the intensity of their sisterhood. Faeya felt something seep into her veins and she started to rise from her drug-indused sleep.

Faeya glanced at the sword before looking back at the man. A hesitant look came upon her face. She glanced back at the princess before turning back to the man. "If you take the princess, you'll have to add a third because I refuse to leave her side." She looked straight into the trespasser's eyes and said "you must take both of us."
