But to the students and faculty, it's anything but normal. S.U.P.E.R. High is a place where runaway teens, teens who want to start over and forget their past, live. But these teens aren't just normal runaways. They each have gifts of their own and they would do anything to learn to control them.  The large academy is daunting to those who do not know what lies inside. But today, the first day of school, it seems less daunting as kids begin to file in toward it. Daniella Gregor or, as she is know to the students, Captain, stands in front of the large building, eyeing all of the new students. As they walk by her and into the school, she yells for all to hear, "Meet in the auditorium. We will have our usual first day assembly there!" She stares down trouble students and smiled at those she likes, suh as Ever Silmore. She continues watching and waiting as more students arrive. --- Ever looks up at the school nervously. This is her last year here and she wants to make it a good one. So no getting in trouble and no dealing with any self proclaimed villains. She walks inside, smiling back at Captain as she does. She has always tried to stay on Captain's good side so she doesn't get thrown out of the school. She doesn't have anywhere else to go if she gets thrown out. She precedes to the auditorium and sits down.

~Lake Tahoe Ski Resort, California~ River stares excitedly out her window, looking up at the snowy mountain with a smile. She has been snowboarding once and she wound up falling flat on her face. It was not fun. But now she is here again and this time she would not embarrass herself. Her parents pull the car to a park and River jumps out excitedly. “Remember, River,” her father says before she runs off. “Meet back at the cabin before it gets too dark. Got it? Your mother and I will be there.” River nods before taking off toward the slopes, gripping her snowboard that she grabbed off the top of the truck in one hand. As she runs, she watches her parents drive away, heading toward their cabin. She smiles, but she isn’t paying attention to where she is going. Suddenly, she feels a solid body hit hers and she stumbles backwards, looking wildly around at who she hit. Across from her is a white blond girl in a fur hat. She lets out a rush of air as she lands on the ground with a thump. “Oof!” she says and looks at the girl. “I am so sorry! I was just excited to get on the slopes.” She stands up and dusts herself off, holding out her hand to the girl. “I’m River. River Anderson. And you are?” ----- ~Lake Tahoe Ski Resort, California~ Peter looks up at the tall mountain with a sigh. Being up here just reminds him off his parents and how they used to bring him up here sometimes. He hooks his arm around his snowboard and walks with clomping steps toward the slopes. He had hoped that it wouldn’t bring up memories and that he would hopefully be able to relax while he was up here for the few days he booked. It didn’t seem like it though. He began a slow walk toward the slopes, looking around at the white snow. He smiles as he scooped up a ball in his gloved hand before dropping it back down. It was beautiful up here. He walks slowly toward the ski lift and sees, off in the distance, two girls, one blond and the other a red head, who seem like they are talking to each other. He smiles and looks at the ground. The blond reminds him of someone, but he doesn’t remember who. He shrugs and keeps walking.

Ice nods, frowning at the microchip. She hates being tracked, but she had to agree with John. If there are a ton of Blades around, the more they had in numbers of Outcasts, the better of a chance they have. She leans back and walks away from him. She walks back over to the door and leans up against it with a sigh. She watches the clock.

> John looked up at Ice. "I think it's this kid about our age that I met right before I found you," he said, his face screwed up in thought as to where the kid could've gotten the microchip and as to what else it might possibly be used for. "That freaky-deaky kid who was running ahead of you?" Ice asks, looking over his shoulder at the microchip. "Is that who you're talking about? Why would you take anything from that guy?" She tries to look serious, but she can't. She giggles quietly under her breath.

Captain looks around at the two teams. It seems it was time for them to go. She looks at her team and the others and yells, "Let's move out!" She begins toward the door, giving a slight nod to Leonardo as she walks. ---- Leo sees her nod and smirks. Unconsciously, he reaches up and touches the three bands of orange, red, and purple cloth on his katanas. He swallows hard and begins walking forward, waving at the others. "You heard the Cap. Let's head out."
