Violet stares at him. "I can do that. This is horrid, Jack. It's like killing you. Or, at least, half killing you." She grabs her knees and draws them into her chest, resting her chin on her knees.

Violet shrugs, not sure what he's getting at. "It varies between a couple hours to a couple months. It took my friend a couple months because he wasn't like me." She sighs and rubs her temples. "The effects are almost like death. You're half dead is mostly the effects. It feels like you have had something ripped off of you, like an arm or a limb of some sort, and you get really tired. There's more than that, but I don't remember details."

Angel walks over and immediately grabs a water and some cookies. She chows down, taking small sips of water every couple seconds. She looks around at everyone. There are some young children here. She turns her eyes to Katherin. "Are there any towns super close nearby?" she asks. "I may need to... go out... every once in a while."

Violet slumps down to the ground, hanging her head in her hands. "I can take half of a shadow, but it will leave the person very weak. I remember because my best friend on the streets offered. It nearly knocked him completely unconscious." She sighs and runs a hand through her hair. "We could go hunting but I didn't notice any forests nearby." She stares down at her feet, where, almost imperceptibly, a small shadow flickered. That's what is left of her shadow.

Gideon grabs a water bottle and the least rotten apple he can find and takes a big bite out of it before following closely behind Philip. He takes a deep breath after finishing his apple and he shrugs off his shirt, setting his water bottle on the ground. Across his chest are two buckle-like straps and he immediately unbuckles them. Suddenly, two dark black, feathery wings pop out from behind his back and spread out. It shows off his massive eighteen foot wingspan. He picks up his water bottle again and begins to follow the guys once more.

Captain looks at Jack with a small smile and says, "All of us fit into this perfectly." It almost as if she is telling him a secret when she says this. She then becomes stony faced once more and says, "Alright! Line up for drills. You will be partnering up for this drill. Partner up."
