I've already got some merc/bounty hunter characters from that Star Wars site I write on that I could use. Though I can think of quite a few other weapons a Jedi would have trouble with besides just slugthrowers. :)

Edit: Bloodshot is actually an adaptation of one of them, so his tier 4 self would give a good indication of what you'd be up against.
Except that if you can generate enough power for it (which is entirely conceivable in a sci-fi setting), then any directed energy weapon that can fire a sustained beam is going to be able to massively out-perform any weapon that fires a physical projectile with regards to damage output. Add in the fact that it requires only energy as ammunition and the "projectile" travels at or near the speed of light, and you have a gun that can't be evaded and isn't affected by gravity or atmospheric conditions at long ranges, and there's nothing stopping you from making the beam invisible and silent. Perfect sniper weapon.

Star Wars just did it wrong.
Lol. Except in my case, it used to happen all the time. >_<
Trust me, LeeRoy, you're not the only one. ;)
It actually lasts quite a lot longer than that, and there's some debate about whether or not a cortosis bullet would be enough of the substance to short it out. Though any Jedi trying to block bullets with a lightsaber isn't exactly the brightest bulb in the first place... >_>
Shields would do the trick (especially if they're powered by a small-scale fusion reactor). And you wouldn't have to get close. They couldn't block shotgun shells forever. Eventually they'd run out of juice, and you just have to bring enough ammo to get you there.
Vader could only use a fraction of his power because of his reliance on cybernetics, and Revan's mask didn't have a HUD (that I'm aware of).
If they're writing it correctly, wearing a helmet with a HUD and armor control systems screws up the focus they need to use their powers effectively, so high tech armor actually reduces their ability to use force powers even though it gives them extra defense. There were those that wore really durable body armor, but it didn't have a helmet or all the bells and whistles you'd get with a suit of mandalorian armor, so their head was still unprotected.
"Yeah... I am pretty neat, aren't I?" There was an unseen wink beneath Arty's mask, meant to give away the joke but failing utterly since his comrade couldn't seen his face. Hopefully he'd pick up on that anyway. Either way, with the patrol now out of commission they now had a brief window of opportunity to reach the tower unnoticed, and Arty took it without hesitation. His armored limbs propelled him forcefully across the remaining distance to the tower in only a few seconds, and once there it was a simple transition from horizontal to vertical.

He wasted no time waiting for his comrade, and once he was on the wall began a rapid climb toward the tower's peak. Each step was anchored to the surface only long enough to propel him into the next, and his vertical sprint carried quickly to the summit. Once there, he opted for the dramatic flair of a backflip as he crested the edge, then dropped to a crouch on the top of the towers outer wall. NOW he would wait for his compatriot.
Only if they get their shield up before you fire. And even then, every bullet blocked puts strain on them, and they can't charge an attack while their shield is up.
