Lol. No, it really doesn't.
I think I'd prefer a faction with tech-based abilities. It's something I'm more familiar with and comfortable using.
Hehe... A character with Phlebotinum for blood. "I can do this, because."

It could definitely be interesting...
Unless she's the host organism and the attempts to combine various DNA's don't start until after the evil faction discovers her existence, then the malleability of her own DNA wouldn't matter much. Even if she was the host organism, I'd still have to apply a considerable amount of phlebotinum to keep the various other DNA segments from rejecting each other. Then there's the problem of her being a potentially magical organism, and the unforeseeable effects that would have on the end result.

Hmm... You've got me thinking now. Lol.
True, but that assumes a being capable of merging multiple strands of otherwise incompatible DNA. I'd need an extremely metamophic gene to use as a base in order to make that work, and even then it would be a heck of a process trying to get the desired traits to remain dominant. Much simpler to just enhance a single genome, rather than try to combine several.

EDIT: I really need to get in the habit of using the quote button... :P
Except, why use only one being when you can have billions? And technology that can glass planets?

If I end up making a faction for everyone to fight, I'll probably forego that high-tier techie character I mentioned earlier and focus on the tiered faction enemies all y'all will be going up against.
A third jedi? Could be trouble. Especially if his companion wasn't up for taking on the apprentice alone. A glance at the much larger man left doubts. All that bulk would slow him down, and the armor wouldn't last against a lightsaber, if the sabers even struck the armor at all instead of just going for the gaps. Bloodshot nodded to the Hutt to indicate his understanding just before the image flickered out, then slid the projector back into a pouch at the back of his belt.

He'd been hired for this job under the premise that he and one other hunter would be targeting only two jedi, and his plan had been formed to maximize the odds of victory with that in mind. Now there were three. He would be having words with this hutt when the mission was over, and acceptable compensation would be obtained, whether by force or diplomacy. He did not like being blindsided. That said, he also enjoyed a good challenge. Maybe this wasn't a total clusterf*** after all.

"Think you can handle the girl?"

His question was directed at his companion, and emanated from his mask with the distinct tone of something mechanized, thanks to the speech and environment filters that were in place. The same filters that kept his partner's obnoxious scent from reaching his nostrils. He smiled slightly at the thought. The padawan might have some trouble with that one.
What about an "evil" faction dedicated to bringing order to chaos by placing the entire multiverse under its rule? That would provide a motivation for both hero and villain types to fight against them, since villains value personal freedom just as much as heroes (except with villains that desire for freedom doesn't extend beyond oneself).
@Impo: I only mentioned myself and Melon because we're already teamed up and fighting a faction. Khan's, to be precise.

@Green: I don't think you need to get rid of your faction to keep things interesting. Borderlands 2 was hella fun and that was essentially just four heroes uniting against a common enemy faction. Or in my case, one lonely Siren. :( Regardless, having a faction with limitless fodder and the occasional gaggle of named, tiered characters could work out very well. Though we'd need to find a way to keep from having all the characters involved bogged down and forced to wait for a 1 on 1 duel between one character and a faction enemy.

That's just it. I think something like that would be healthy for the overall multiverse story. You know, to keep the ball rolling or whatnot. With Skallagrim's absence, and as such, the lack of plot advancement, it could be a good idea to get a few characters together to form actual factions. Be it of intergalactic size or not; just create a bigger reason to fight than individual goals. Get some faction on faction fighting going on. At least until Skallagrim returns and makes a move with his big bad.Thoughts?

Borderlands, anyone? Lol.

I like the idea of a group of heroes taking on the biggest and baddest a faction has to offer. Like me and Melon. If Khan would post, that is... ;)
