Sato Hashimoto // Mirror World, Crossroads
JUNE 21ST 2015, SUNDAY
Mid-day

In the middle of the Mirror World lay a crossroad, two branches leading to two dungeons. Rui had called the team together due to a confirmed kidnapping, but Sato was surprised to hear that there were actually two victims this time. Sato doubted it'd be like last time if the two weren't as connected and close together as the Dragonuv siblings, and the suspicion was only confirmed when the team arrived at the split in the road. In one direction was a climbing skyscraper, which looked more like a never ending slab of concrete, with its lack of windows and, well... skyscraper stuff. To the other side was an old theater, rather lacking in unusual attributes.

Megumi noted a connection between the two dungeons, which was deemed potentially useful since it lacked some of the dungeons' danger. Sato thought it was awfully convenient that they also had two people with navigation capabilities now. This appeared to be optimal conditions for a two-team dungeon run. But that meant certain people would only go to a certain dungeon. Considering this, Sato looked at the two buildings before them. The skyscraper was far from welcoming, while the theater appeared much more tame. The choice was obvious, but Sato didn't want to seem a coward so he simply looked to Rui for the final decision. He was the leader after all.

Sato Hashimoto // Ishihara Residence
JUNE 18TH 2015, THURSDAY
Afterschool

Knock, knock.

Sato stood outside Rokurou's home, clutching his school bag and a stack of papers. Some kid from 3-2 had asked him to deliver the school work Rokurou had missed in his absence. Truth be told, Sato didn't even know that Rokurou had been absent. He'd been too preoccupied with his own studies and the cult case to go to archery practice, or even notice. But here he was, since Sato was seen as "Ishihara's friend" at school, his name only known by association with Rokurou. Apparently, Rokurou wasn't particularly friendly with the crowd in 3-2, and escaped from conversations and events through detailing his plans with Sato or whoever else. Thus, Sato was known as Rokurou's escape plan.

Or, at least, that was what Rokurou told him. Realizing nobody was coming, Sato knocked again, this time peering through the window to see if anyone was even there. A few moments passed, and just as Sato was turning around to leave, the door opened and there stood one of Rokurou's snotty younger brothers. This time literally snotty as he appeared to be sick.

"Hey there." Sato started, shifted uncomfortably in his clothes. How do you talk to kids, let alone kids you don't know? "I'm a friend of Rokurou's. Do you happen to know where your brother is?"

The kid only sniffed, clutching a blanket and a bottle of water. Sato rolled his eyes, and was about to give the kid the papers when the kid pointed behind Sato. The teen turned around to see Rokurou appear from the street. He gave a wave, and with that, Rokurou's brother shuffled off back to bed.

"Here's your notes," Sato said, handing the stack off to the taller male as he walked past. Rokurou didn't even look at them before tossing them onto some table inside. He was almost gone down a hallway when he turned around to say something.

"What are you waiting for? Make yourself at home." And with that, Rokurou disappeared into some room. Sato looked around hesistantly, before inviting himself into the Ishihara residence. He'd been there plenty before of course, but it was... missing something. Paintings, or furniture, or something. Regardless, Sato found his way to the kitchen and stood by the sink. The sounds of a water boiler vibrated through the house, and it occured to Sato that Rokurou had been wearing work clothes, and was probably showering now. But why would he be skipping school to go work? Who would even let him do that, or even let him work?

It was as he contemplated this that he realized that Rokurou's family wasn't at home, except for one brother. A rummaging sound distracted Sato from his thoughts, and he turned to see Rokurou scanning the fridge for something. It was depressingly lacking. Eventually he decided on some kind of leftovers, which was thrown into the microwave for a minute. Rokurou leaned back against the counter and looked at Sato, who awkwardly hovered over the sink. The brawnier teen was wearing a blue shirt and presumably his boxer. His hair was still soaked, a towel wrapped around his neck. Did he even try to dry it?

On a different train of thought, it made Sato all the more conscious that he was wearing his uniform, fresh out of school. The microwave stopped, beeping instead. Was he out of school to take care of his brother, who was presumably sick? Where was his family? Rokurou put a disgusting amount of soy sauce on whatever it was he was planning on eating.

"The family's out in Hokkaido 'cuz some aunt died. I was planning on kicking it home alone, but then my asshole of a brother decided to get sick last minute and I had to take care of him for the week." Rokurou blurted out, stirring his food. "'Case you were wondering."

"I was." Sato admitted, looking up at Rokurou. "Don't you think it would've nice to go to your dead aunt's funeral? It's your family, after all."

"Fuck family," Rokurou replied through a mouthful of rice. He took a moment to swallow it before continuing. "My parents would'nt've wanted me to come anyway. I'm not too well recieved in my family, in case you didn't put that together. They're so in love with school that they've had it with my delinquent behavior. You'd think they'd be mistaking me with those posers from school who try to act all tough all the time." He took a bite out of some kind of eggroll. It looked gross, fitting the copius amounts of soy put on it.

"I get it, actually. There are some people in my family I'd rather be without too. Not like I ever talk to them or anything, but it'd be better if they just... didn't exist, or something." Sato glanced down at the floor, eyes tracing the lines in the wood flooring. The look of slight surprise on Rokurou's face was too annoying to look at. Before the whole cult thing happened to him, Sato would've just disagreed with him, too ashamed to admit his true feelings that fell in line with Rokurou's. But now... He had made a promise to himself, then. And he was going to keep it.

Rokurou's voice broke him out of his thought. "Can ya help me decipher my homework? I'm too dumb to get caught up on time without help." A warm smile accompanied the request, and Sato just couldn't say no. Sato started towards the stack of papers to get started, but as he passed Rokurou, he ripped the towel from around Rokurou's neck and quickly dried the taller teen's dripping hair with it before he could get away.

"Don't walk around like that," Sato said, subtly imitating his own mother. "You'll get a cold."
@Sen
I only ever got to Piglet before I got bored.
Might try finishing it, I think shit hits the fan after Piglet right?

Oh, that's what I thought too. The first two levels are pretty easy. Maybe even the third one too. But then Roo comes in. Far from unbeatable, but followed by that is Rabbit, a master of telekinesis. Owl's worse. Tigger is a master of illusion magic. Robin... Robin is Lucifer's avatar in the mortal plane.

Basically yes, Piglett is still baby hour. Get to Roo or Rabbit first.
Is it really that bad?

short answer: yes
longer answer: a game has never made me want to dropkick a kid more

Sato Hashimoto // Crypt of Hopes and Dreams
The arms quickly fell apart once they targeted them, and with them gone, they could go full force. Sato blasted it with another Single Shot, and then immediately following it up with a Hamaon, making the blow seem to explode with white light on contact. Soon after everyone started giving it their all, the shadow fell down, and Rui finished it off with one last decisive thrust. With one final scream of agony, the shadow began to morph back into its Alexai shape, leaving it all to the real Alexai to end.

The conversation went as expected, Sato missing out on a lot of context seeing as he barely knew the guy. Regardless, the broad third-year accepted his shadow and a fiery knight appeared in its place, if only for a second. After that whole shebang was over, Sato was surprised to see that Alexai didn't collapse, and instead turned to the group and informed them that there was still another person to be saved in the dungeon: his sister.

Ayano told everyone there wasn't much left of the dungeon before they would get to Alexai's sister, so everyone marched on, this time with Alexai with them. As they walked through the remainder of the crypt, Sato wondered the implications of both Alexai and his sister being in the same dungeon upon entering the mirror world. Was it only one of theirs, or did they both share it? Could it be they were just similar enough for it to work? What if people with radically different problems entered at the same place and at the same time?

Before long they were at the last room, only having to go through some insignificant shadows to get there (in which Alexai surprisingly helped; did he care about his sister that much that he had the strength to keep going even after dealing with his shadow?). The innards of the crypt got more decrepit as they went on, the coloration losing its brightness and taking on a much more serious tone in them. More surprising though, was finding the same cultists who presumably kidnapped Alexai's sister (and Alexai? Sato was still unsure on that part). The final room appeared to be a dead-end, so the cultists were trapped. The cultists shouted confused sentences, ones that confused Sato himself. Before he could process them again, the voice of the cultist changed into something eerily familiar.

Confirming Sato's suspicion, the man suddenly fell to the ground. A shadow erupted from his body, and in a blind panic it charged the persona users. Alexai cut it down like it was nothing, and charged the remaining cultist, who quickly fell to the ground beside Elena. Whatever just happened, it didn't matter in the moment, as they had basically just recovered Elena without anymore shadow stuff happening. With that done, everyone returned to the real world.

JUNE 14TH 2015, SUNDAY
Mid-day

Sato sat in his room, browsing through the search results for Junsei Sekai Tensei, which was apparently the cult's name. A now lukewarm cup of tea sat in front his face as he rested his chin on his arms. He'd been searching for at least an hour, and he hadn't learned anything particularly new or useful. Maybe there was a reason that Kami was a member dedicated to this part of the investigation. Was there some kind of deep-web he had to go on to get anything relevant?

Sighing, Sato leaned back in his chair, stretching his arms above his head. Thinking back to the day before, they had carried the cultists out of the mirror world after saving both Alexai and his sister, Elena. They turned the two men into the police, so that's good. What wasn't good was how a shadow had come out of one of them. What did it mean? What was a shadow? The team discussed the cultists and what they said once everything was dealt with. Based off of what they had said, the consensus was that the majority of the cultists were unaware of the true nature of the mirror world, instead believing it to be some alternate paradise world. There was the mention of some "Lady Asai", a name that had to be essential to the investigation. Kami concurred with this thought, while Megumi and Kazuki decided to keep an even closer watch on the mirror world, which comforted Sato a little. At least nobody would slip through the cracks now, hopefully.

After that, everyone went home. Sato had fallen asleep as soon as he hit his bed, waking up ten minutes before eleven the next day. With Alexai saved, there wasn't much else to be concerned with. Just a normal sunday to relax on. Or so Sato wanted it to be, but his head was filled with thoughts and questions about the cultists. What exactly were they after? Why would they try to kidnap people to put them in there? Who was this Lady Asai, and what she telling these people?

Sato took a deep breath, and let it out as he got up. Some fresh air was what he needed, having been mulling over this whole cult thing the whole morning. It was suffocating in its own way. He considered dropping by the hospital to check on Alexai, but he barely knew the guy, and plenty of the others who did were bound to show up there.

Sighing, Sato got up from his chair and whipped out his phone, dialing Rokurou's number. He flopped onto his bed and waiting for the other boy to pick up. When there was no answer, Sato just let the phone fall from his hand and onto the sheets. Sunlight beamed down on his face, making it all the more unlikely he'd bother opening them any time soon.
At the rate this is going you could just not bother checking if the latest post in the OOC is by Sword. Because it's probably shitposting then.
