The purpose of the Alumni are that as past winners, they get to keep their servants and act as the head mage(head boy) of their year, they get full power servants and they can use them in the tournament to help members of their house, or hinder others. Because if one house has all the head members they rule the school.

To be honest your issue with the bloodlines is the same issue I have with Origins, why I am not using them anymore nor care for them.

Most of my Eldritch bloodlines (as you put it) were created originally to not only have a source for the abilities of certain magecrafts and origins but to explain their usage and mechanics. Rather than having Origins appearing from nowhere or just be there (when they are meant to be rare as fuck) with a flexiable amount of ambiguity that allowed them to do anything as long as it was reasoned slightly. So I had rules in place like the Branson's/Sigurd's Gram RM for instance. Which made family based magic be able to keep up with some Origin level stuff. I admit I do do tit for tat, but I try to go around the issue, often causing a newer one haha.

Like the Twin's didn't even have any bloodline powers they just had an extremely complex story and however out of hand I may have gotten with Avy and his stuff, he still only had Fire and Earth powers with clear restrictions. In this the twins are just the children of the priest who works as the school counselor. And I can't derail my own game really with my own crazy shit as the set up for this one doesn't allow it.

Caster looked at this young man and smiled, before walking up to him with her hips swaying and kissing him lightly on the cheek. "I like a man who knows how to show respect. So tell me Robert, what exactly is apparent?"

William smiled at Robert, "Caster likes you it seems, be careful she can get quite possessive." Caster shot William a deathly glare, to which he averted his gaze and turned back to Alysis. "Be careful with that card, Saber will vanish at the end of today and you will have to protect that card until you can summon him again. Caster's apple will be of great use, it can be used to give you a boost of prana or poison an enemy, use it now or later up to you, but be careful. Nikki since you are still undetermined you will be staying in the communal dorms too, look after Ms Woe, if she looses her Arcana card then you won't be getting yours from me either."

Nicola pouted, "You are going to use what little power you have over me huh Bill?"

"Well rather I'm resisting the power father has over me, to look after you. Plus the communal dorms are manic, moreso for someone to get an Arcana class on the first day of term. All the other first years and the Alumni will be taking notice." Turning back to Alysis, "Today you have successfully changed your fate and your life Ms Woe, for better or worse I cannot say, but I can say you will not be forgotten."

Caster was busy talking to Robert. "So you want to join the war then, such a young strapping lad such as yourself, is it really worth being Master mage to potentially ruin such a sweet face, you could grow up to be a great mage someday, if you grow up that is, William there lost a leg in the fight with Berserker. But if you know who I am, and have seen footage of the past tournament then I assume you already know that, so what class are you hoping to pick up, it is rude to ignore a Queen you know." She said with her mischeivous smirk, you could never quite tell if Caster was angry at you, or just fucking with you, or really just indifferent with a hint of sadism, but more importantly how you responded to her initial actions determined quite how she meant them retroactively, so she wanted to see how this Robert would react.
