After examining the whole area Hayley looked up and walked towards her new friend. “I could come and study here.. It looks so lovely! Compared to my sorority place this suits me way better..” She stared at Matthew for a few seconds, only having a candle to feed her sight. What was he thinking? He followed her down here without a question, as if he had nothing to loose. As if he didn’t even care what was down here. She, on the other hand, had this impulsive need to go on adventures. Sadly, that never went unharmed. This time it did, luckily, because she wasn’t alone. With a deep breath she shook her head. “Sorry I’ve taken you here. I’m such a weirdo..” With her hand brushing her hair back, she turned to the door. Almost too soft too hear she mumbled:“No wonder I never make any new friends..”
“Mine’s Hayley.. Summers. Nothing odd about that surname I suppose..” Hayley stepped towards the two doors whilst Matthew spoke about that he assumed would be behind those doors. It made her shiver slightly. A tomb wouldn’t be the best discovery of the year as she was terrified of anything mummified. Something just made her panic when she thought about those old movies her father used to watch where mummies moaned out to you in a dark and cold pyramid. They would chase after you in the slowest way possible and yet be terrifying. It just didn’t seem right to her.

“Let’s hope it’s not.. That last thing.” The door, luckily, wasn’t locked. It opened up alright, but not too smoothly. It seemed as if the door hadn’t been used in quite a while and a dust cloud hovered up from the carpet ground inside. With her candle she tried to lid up the room she was trying to discover but the dust made it nearly invisible to see anything. It was when Hayley took a few steps in an image was created: There was a huge bed pushed to the side of the gigantic room, with the most beautiful white blankets draped around a wooden frame. The dark carpet continued, as she walked inside the room. “Are you coming?” For some odd reason, Hayley had started to whisper. As if, someone would hear her. The room was richly decorated with what seemed like the most beautiful furniture ever. It was old fashioned, that was a fact, but people pay loads to get these kinds of coaches inside their homes. All together it looked like a room people would actually live and sleep in. It even had the smallest kitchen ever, Hayley noticed.

With most disbelief she said: “Did someone.. Live here?”.
Hearing he was clearly following her made her think. Maybe he didn’t think she was weird, unlike all her sorority sisters. That made her slightly excited she had maybe found a new friend. ”Now now, don’t get too excited!” And with a quick shake of her head put her teeth down on her lower lip to keep her giggle suppressed. “Lady? Eh.. Thanks. I’ll be fine though.” Hayley then took a few steps down, looking at the man behind her for a second. “I don’t think we’ve met before? Eh.. What is your name?” Hayley then continued to walk down the stairs finally arriving in a dark and low basement. Though it was really dark, there were a few shelves filled with books places against the walls. They seemed specially made for this kind of place, so it must’ve been special to be here. When Hayley picked up one of the candles on the stairs, she noticed the floor was coated with dark red carpet, making their steps not noticeable anymore. And now that there was more light, Hayley spotted an old, wooden table filled in the midst of the room. There were two more doors to each side of the room, made out of the most beautiful wood ever: It had carvings of all kinds of strange creatures, and decorated with something that looked like diamonds or precious gems. They might have been fake, but they looked stunning to the eye. It almost looked like a royal family had taken shelter here. “What is this place?” Soon her eyes started to get used to the dark, though that did not prevent her from knocking down a few piles of books on the ground or a statue or two that she could save at the last moment. Fortunately, he could not see her red cheeks showing up.

“Hmm?”
Hayley started to follow the man through a hall, which was dark and barely lid by a few candles that stuck to the wall. They were clearly 7day candles that were slowly coming to their end. It gave an authentic feeling, almost as if they went back into time. Every step they took echoed loudly thanks to the brick walls that had no windows. It was until they reached a corridor, Hayley stopped for a second. There were a few candles that weren’t lid anymore down a hall, leading to the other side the man wasn’t taking her. “What’s this way?” She asked curiously, slowly stepping closer to the darkness. It was only until she was halfway the hall, with a gleam of brightness behind her where the man stood Hayley turned around. “Aren’t you coming?!” Her voice has this exciting undertone, and she felt the urge to explore. Not waiting for him to follow her, she let her fingertips slide over the roughly and wet feeling walls. When he fingertips started to feel sore from the rough surface, she stood still. A tall, but narrow door ended her journey. Not a second later, the door cracked open slowly and Hayley pushed it further open with her white sneakers. A stairs leading down was lightly lid by thick candles. One every 6 steps. “Hey.. You! I’m going down here..” She mumbled, finally realizing she didn’t know his name. ”Silly me, I never really asked him..”

Once again, her hunger has faded away.
Every possible scenario’s went though her head: She had to stay there for the night? The man could be a possible danger. Who knows? Maybe he likes young, innocent girls that look like they haven’t slept or eaten decently in a long time. Maybe he’d.. NO! ”Don’t think about that, that’s disgusting. He seems like a fair man.. I hope..” Talking about the devil, the time she was having a conversation all by herself about this situation, he seemed to realize she was indeed stuck for the night. His slow way of approaching her made her take a few steps back to knock her back against the door. Whilst taken a deep breath, Hayley took a few seconds to let his handsome appearance soak into her memory. Though there was something odd about him.. He didn’t seem quite.. ‘youngster’ as he might seem. But yet, he was captivating to her. “Food..” Hayley slowly nodded to his question, and didn’t even bother if anyone would mind her taking the food in the lounge. With an empty stomach she couldn’t possibly try to escape a 1000year old library. “Yes, please.” The fewer words she spoke, the best it seemed. Better to not get too comfortable with a stranger so late at night, right?
As soon as he came, the man left. Well, he didn’t exactly left, but he went to the other side of the reading room and opened up his book over there. It was rather weird to have someone in the room whilst she read. Uneasy about why he wanted to talk to her, Hayley silently continued to read her novel about a British man traveling around the world around the 1830. The story itself was written carefully and every word made her read the next. As she flipped through the pages, the hours passed by. It soon became 6-7PM and not even her hunger could make her stop. It was at 9pm when the darkness started to bother her, the cold was even more noticeable and she could not longer ignore her hunger. To not disturb her fellow reading ‘buddy’ she tried not to make a sound as she pulled up her boots and laid the book onto the table with the other books. Silently, she lifted the pile into her arms, and walked towards the man. The title of the book was showing since he held it up high. What a strange taste of books he had! “..Rabbit reproduction?” Her mouth was dry and her neck felt sore from looking down so long. “Anyway, I’m leaving. Bye.” And with those words she made her way down the main stairs and stood in front of the big door of the entrance.

The pile of books was placed onto Clark’s desk so she could take them with her later. With one hard tug Hayley tried to open up the door. It stayed shut. ‘Hm?” Again, but this time harder. “.. You kidding..?” The last time she had tried to pull the door with both of her arms, with all her force, but still no luck. Hayley couldn’t believe that this was happening. She was locked in? Seriously? Who doesn’t check if the library is empty before locking for the night? “Oh fuck..” She whispered with her eyes towards the 2nd floor, rubbing over her belly. It made the strangest sounds, begging for some food. It seemed like she was sucked into the book so deeply, she did not notice anyone locking the door..
The expression on his face did not turn into a frown or a grin when most people around this campus must’ve already judged her like crazy. Who takes off her boots in the library and who reads mature books all by herself on school? Anyway, she took a second book from her pile and tried to focus on the title of it. But all she could think about was the man, still standing there, probably hoping to get a little small talk out of her. Because, the ramble he made didn’t make any sense and made her wiggle uneasy from one butt cheek to the other. The words he spoke were English all right, but it had this old accent to it. Some words were pronounced weirdly and instead of listening to what he actually said, she focussed on his lips forming all the words. When he finally shut his lips, Hayley confusingly waited for more. Was there more to come? Or was it her turn to say something? ”What.. Did he say?” Lightly biting her lower lip, hoping he’d just leave now, Hayley panicked once again. ”Say something Hay, say something! He’s bloody staring at your like crazy!”

“I don’t get why people don’t look at you, you have the most bright eyes in the world.” Hayley opened up her book and as she started to read the first sentence in it, she realized how socially awkward that is to say to a complete stranger. Once again, she tried to hide herself behind her book and peeped a small ‘sorry’. As her cheeks blushed bright red she did not allow herself anymore to lower the book at – all.
POKES EVERYBODY. I still have 2 more slots for RP's!
It wasn’t until she had flipped the 5th page the realization slowly sunk in. This wasn’t the childish Peter Pan’s Blackbeard story. It was a more alternative version that had detailed descriptions of a woman slowly killing a whore crew aboard and saving Blackbeard as her own personal slave. She turned the book to the side to notice the +18 sticker on the back. ”Lovely.. This isn’t romance. Someone must’ve put it back on the wrong shelf..” Hayley was just about to stretch out, throw the book onto the table in front of her and grab a new one when she heard a man’s voice from the hall in front of her. A strange shiver ran down her spine and the fear of having to socialize with a man made her panic slightly. Her sweaty palms quickly held the book tighter and opened it up again. With a sweep she put her finger down on one of the pages to make it look like she was eagerly reading line by line. On top of that she lifted the book up so that their eyes would not meet. If only she knew..

“Hello.” Hayley murmured. For some odd reason the whole room had turned colder than before. A long silence made her wonder. “Did he leave already?” Something inside of her shouted not to lower the book to check, but her curiosity called out for her. At first sight she did not see anything, and let her eyes scan the rather small reading room. Slowly, her eyes widened when a tall, young looking man stood in the corner of the room. His clothes were very old-fashioned yet classy. Not daring to look at his face yet, she noticed his pale skin colour as he held up a book. Her stare must’ve lasted at least a few seconds before their eyes met. “Oh..?””God, those eyes.. But why does he look so ill? It looks like he hasn’t slept in ages..” She thought, not knowing that might actually be the truth. ”Sorry..” Hayley quickly sat up to take her boots off the couch hide the book she was reading beneath them on the table. After all, she was reading a mature book.. What ought he to think about her now!
We are so darn clever, right?
