Biography:
The Zephyr family started out in Hogwarts when her father, Yas, attended the school with his best friend Isabelle (Corentin's mother). The two did everything together. Taking the same classes and jobs, sharing a love for DADA, and it was no surprise to anyone when news spread in their final year, that Isabelle was pregnant with a little boy. Right after Graduation, the next day in fact, Corentin was born and during the first few years of his life, Isabelle stayed home and raised him as she should. Yas, however, had a duty to do, taking a job at the Ministry of Magic right after graduation, and as a result, never became such a big part in his son's life. He found himself missing out on watching his son grow up, and that was what made him sad the most.
It was one night that Yas stayed out later than usual, and in a fit of worry, Isabelle left Corentin, only at the age of six, alone at home. While she was out looking in a dark forest, she was attacked by a Dark Wizard and killed. It had been one Yas and his colleagues had been trying to arrest for weeks. By the time he had gotten there, it was too late, and she was gone. They never did find that Wizard in the end. Greif stricken, Yas took leave from his duties as a Auror and took his son, moving away in search for a fresh start in France. That was where he met Rin's mother, Noe. After enrolling Corentin in an Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, he met Noe as she worked at a local coffee shop he often visited. Much like his first love, Yas fell hard and fast for this woman, and after a few years of being together, she too ended up pregnant with his child. The entire pregnancy was a struggle, and as the months drew along, Noe got sicker and sicker. On the day Rin was born, she died in the delivery room with no way to revive her. It was again that Yas was overcome by the loss of his love, that he usually neglected Rin as a child, leaving the 12 year old Corentin to do most things that had to do with raising the little girl. When Corentin reached the age of 14, the Zephyr family moved back to Scotland where Corentin attended Hogwarts and Yas was forced to raise a three year old Rin on his own while returning to his job at the MoM.
His negletfulness towards his daughter lessened slightly, but deep inside, he blamed her for the death of Noe and it caused him to hate her a little bit. As Rin grew older, it became more obvious to her that she was disliked by her father. Corentin never told her why, no matter how much she asked, and on days when he was especially cruel and abusive to her, she often cried to him and pleaded that he treat her with as much love as he did to her brother. Every time she'd be met with a glare or be pushed aside while he praised Corentin for everything he did. Her escape she found in drawing and painting. Often times she would hide away from her fathers drunken rage by going to her basement and coloring. When he had found that she had talents for art, he seemed to despise her more for some unknown reason and when Corentin moved away the abuse seemed to get worse.
At the age of twelve, Rin's father threw her out of his house during one of his drunken fits after breaking her things and screaming that she had taken away the only reason he had left to live in his life. Her brother, living nearby at the time, took her in and kept her for two years until she too was enrolled into Hogwarts. Her second year in, she had gotten a call from her brother saying that their father had gone missing and that he was moving away, following a few leads as to where he might be. Unable to do anything for now, Rin began to really focus on her school work. Finding her father became the top priority in her mind, not because she loved him or because she was worried about him, only because he couldn't die just yet. Before he was allowed to die, Rin had to hear from him, in his own words, what she had done to deserve all of his hatred growing up. And... why she never had a mother.

Rin is an extremely quirky girl with a serene disposition and many eccentric beliefs and qualities. She is a complete nonconformist; she lacks self-consciousness and is not afraid to show who she truly is. Often times she will randomly shout in the middle of her sentence or do other random odd things such as talk to herself or turn away during the middle of a conversation. Despite having the attention span of a rabid squirrel, Rin is also intelligent and unusually perceptive of others feelings and thoughts. Her demeanor and voice are often distant and dreamy, and she will drift away from a conversation she does not find interesting. She has an uncanny way of making others uncomfortable by being bluntly honest, or embarrassing honesty according to her brother. She is completely unflappable and rarely seems anxious or under stress, even under difficult circumstances such as being in battle or taking a test she did not study for. Rin was very good at comforting others and is usually quite a joy to be around. Rin has extremely well-developed senses, and an aesthetic appreciation for beauty. She's not interested in leading or controlling others. She is flexible and open-minded about other people lives, traditions, stories, etc..
