In alot of ways i feel like Haruhi is stuck in a place where she's living in the shadow of her father (who was supposedly a great Shinobi, which i plan to talk about more later) and she cant think of herself as someone whos good enough to be a Shinobi like him... so she needs other people to tell her that whats shes doing is not all in vain. Seeing as even her mother dosent support her decision, and as she's in a team where it looks like no one is interested in trying to edge her on and tell her to stay strong, eventually shes either going to break and give up or find within herself that she is doing the right thing and not care anymore of what other people think.
At least thats what im thinking in my head. Since there are others who have the oppourtunity to change her future now, we just have to wait and see where she ends up.
