Rosina had saw the exchange and she gave a half smile at the Mankey before registering it in her pokedex, it even picked up the ratatta a little behind. Afterwards she pointed to the monkey pokemon and then in front of her. Looking confused for a moment it walked over to her.
"Okay listen up tough guy. I saw how you treated your trainer just now, is that any way to treat a friend. You see he's hurt already, why would you try to add to it?" she asked it. Her Ranger skills were showing a bit as the Mankey stuttered as if trying to come up with a legit reason.
"Look," she said softly, petting the pokemon. She knew that this was the best way to tame a pokemon. She hoped Erin was watching while she did this, so he knew for future times. Rosina was taught to make a pokemon feel good when talking or giving orders to it. It made them more accepting of it. Scratching the little guy under his chin/mouth or whatever it was, she spoke in a level voice.
"I know that maybe you didnt want to get captured, but fate brought you and Erin there together." she turned the pokemon so he could look at Erin, petting the Mankeys head.
"That boy is your friend now. He dosent want to hurt you or anything, he just wants to be your buddy. So, you gotta give him a chance and maybe you two will be best friends one day." She turned him back to face her and poked his nose smiling.
"Wanna give it a shot then? He can help you get stronger."
"Mankey!" he said nodding.
"No more hitting."
"Mankey." he nodded.
"No more kicking."
He hesitated before nodding, giving up. "Mankey."
"Good. Now you may have some food." she poured some on a clean leaf and set it in front of him, proud of her results. Crawling over to Erin, she took out a bottle of water, and some bandages. She handed him the water and helped him sit up before starting to patch him up.
"Move or complain and your going to wish it was a Mankey beating you up." she warned as she put some bandaids on him. Keeping her eyes on her work she spoke after a moment. "Um, just a word of advice, dont fight a pokemon. Let them come to you. If it was meant to be then they'll come. Also, no matter how much they hit you, dont fight back. It will show them you dont wanna hurt em." she frowned at his bruises, wishing she could fix those too. Smiling, she applied another bandaid.
"You got your butt kicked though dude."
