Once again, Matt lie still unable to move. He sat there and watched as the vampires assembled their forces, making makeshift tanks and putting on armor. They had never done anything like this, then again they never had Dresden as a leader. During the time the vampires took to assemble their tanks and such Matt was healing. He wouldn't be so foolish this time as to try to attack alone, no, he would merely get his gear and retreat back to the fort for the battle. He first grabbed his guns as they were laying beside him and holstered them, then proceeding to move as swiftly and silently as possible he retrieved his chakram before running off towards the fort. He stopped at the bushes Lightning was hiding and told her "If I was you I'd move your ass before you get crushed by one of those tanks." before running back towards the fort. He stopped at the entrance with the main SOLDIER group just outside the gates.
Hearing what Matt said and looking towards the tanks she decided that yes, it would indeed be a good idea to move. Following after Matt as quickly as she could she eventually joined him at the gates. "So, what's the plan? Get shot and heal?" Lightning asked him. "No, the plan is try not to die." Matt told her.
