"Why hello Johnathan, it has been a while, hasn't it?" Magnus told him. "Still hoping to be saved or whatnot by that God of yours? Don't you imagine if he had the slightest whim of saving you from your fate that you wouldn't be standing here before me this very moment?" Magnus liked teasing Johnathan, despite how much he hated him. "You know as well as I do there is no hope for you are any of us, despite your efforts." Magnus stood still briefly and focused, he would make Johnathan realize his worst fear, fear of being utterly abandoned and shunned by his God. He made it seem to him as if he was in a post-apocolyptic world, him being the lone survivor of the catastrophe. Forced to roam the earth till he perished, completely abandoned by his God and the entirety of humanity, both whom he served and humanity whom he swore to protect untill the end of his days. After the scene was properly implanted Magnus merely stood there grinning evily while waiting for it to take effect.
If this worked, it would either drive Johnathan mad to the point he would be easy enough to kill, or he would abandon his beliefs and join Magnus's side. Either way, he would be happy any outcome.
