Anya nodded seriously at her father. She didn't know why she shouldn't drink the water, but she trusted her papa because he always told the truth all the time.

She got really excited when the squirrel started talking, though, because what girl wouldn't be excited at the prospect of a gigantic adorable talking squirrel? She began bouncing up and down excitedly again, and decided to ask once more.

"Pleeease can I pet him? A rabid squirrel wouldn't be able to talk that good, right? He'd sound more like 'hisss blargh blargh blargh', but this guy doesn't sound like that at all!"
"Drats," muttered Anya. Some day, however, she would be an adult too and learn all of their adulty secrets. And probably go to secret night time adult parties that children couldn't go to because they were too fun.

Anya hesitated outside the threshold of the bar before stepping in uncertainly, gripping her father's hand a little tighter. Now that she was a vampire, she would get very sick and weak if she stepped inside certain places without being invited. She got a little scared before stepping inside anywhere now, but thankfully it didn't feel bad this time. She supposed that public places that were open to anyone were open to her too.

"Papa, why are those men roughhousing?" Anya asked, watching the drunken brawl take place. "And why did that man knock that other man out? And why is there a very big squirrel? Can I pet him?"
Anya popped the blood candy into her mouth, and almost immediately began to feel her hunger be sated. She still wanted more, of course, but this would do until they could get a proper meal. She looked up at her papa when he talked about doing fun things, and she nodded eagerly.

"Yeah! Fun things are fun, and they're even more fun together!"

Anya began bouncing up and down excitedly at the prospect of souvenirs and pretty things. She hoped that she could get some toys for the road, or perhaps a new dress.

"But what sorts of pretty things can we see at night? Can I stay up late to see them? Are they secret adult stuff?"
Anya smiled up at her papa as the man ruffled her hair, and then proceeded to take her cloak off. She folded it up carefully so that it wouldn't get wrinkled, and looked back at James again.

"Oh, you're right!" said Anya. She'd almost forgotten about being killed by the sun when she saw the almost naked guy and thought how he might catch a cold. Her papa was so smart, and that was only one of the reasons she loved him. There were lots more, though, and Anya considered making a list when she got some paper. It would say "Reasons I love papa".

She'd need to get a lot of paper.

"It would be nice to sleep inside, and even better to have a warm meal. I hope there's blood sausages. Or blood oranges. Or more mysterious blood candy. Where do you even get that candy from, papa?"

She hoped there was an Inn nearby, an Inn where the owner wouldn't call her a monster and try to chase her out of town.
Anya looked around curiously and took in their new surroundings. Her papa was right, they were far from home. At least a hundred feet, by her calculations, and that was whale-size.

"Whales are big," she stated, still looking around, "Anyways, can I take off the cloak now that it's night? It's really hot in here, and I look like a bad guy. Only bad guys wear cloaks, right papa?"

The slave auction caught her eye, and she continued on that train of thought, "Can I give my cloak to that guy? He's mostly naked, and he could catch a cold if he doesn't put something on."

Silver Potions.... poor Shisa, better stay away from them dwarfs or alchemist :<((Question of Interest for the Mist Ability: What happens if the mist is separated into two groups and cant be reformed back into one? Like a wall of wind separating the mist dispersing it around? Not letting it reform))

Yes, I hope nobody kills me. People die when they are killed.

Anyways, the fog just always stays together because vampmagic. I'm certain it can be blown about with a powerful enough wind, but it still stays in one piece.
@Feigling While normally I would be inclined to agree, I believe I must emphasize the fact that I am playing as an eight-year-old child who doesn't want to be a vampire and would likely shy away from any form of combat unless absolutely necessary. In addition, given the large amount of vampiric weaknesses I have listed, I find that it is far more than fair. I have no illusions about a vampire's capabilities, and aim to play a classic vampire.

Even with the fog, if someone knew what she was and wanted to kill her, they could likely kill her. She's eight.
Name: Anya Hawthorne

Race: Vampire

Race Description: Vampires have many strengths, but also a myriad of weaknesses. Regarding strengths, vampires are very strong (vampstrong), very fast (vampfast), are able to transform into mist and summon familiars, regenerate quickly, and can turn others into vampires.

As for weaknesses, I’m going with the classic array. They are fried in sunlight, weak to holy items and magics, vulnerable to silver and attacks to the heart, are turned away by garlic, cannot cross running water, and must be invited inside houses to enter.

Age: 8

Gender: Female

Appearance: Anya is your average 8-year-old girl, if that girl was a Vampire. She is small, thin, and very very pale (Probably because of the vampirism). She has red eyes and long black hair, which she does not tie in any way.

Clothing/Armor: Anya tends to wear black clothes, as they go with her skin and hair tone. Their gothic style and coloring lend her a very elegant appearance for a child, though she herself is not incredibly prim. Her current wear is a long, black dress with white frills along the edges and a red bow on the bust. It has grown somewhat worn and torn of late, but it is still functional as a garment. She also possesses a thick, hooded cloak that allows her to go out during the day without being badly injured or killed.

Weapons: Hands, teeth.

Skills/Abilities: Anya has grown rather adept at using her vampire powers, but is a far way away from any ages-old supervamp. Her main abilities lie in playing dressup, asking piercing questions unknowingly, and being totally adorable.

Magic: Nothing other than those mentioned in the racial description.

Inventory: Clothes, cloak, a tiny purse, three copper in allowance.

Backstory: Anya has always been a very sweet and playful child, and loved her parents very much. Two years ago, however, her mama had to go away and her papa got really sad. Soon after, she was turned into a vampire by a group that attacked she and her father and the two began traveling together to get rid of the curse. Though she doesn't particularly enjoy vampirism, she’s very glad that she gets to travel with and be close to her papa all the time.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Just because she's L doesn't mean that she's L.

But if she was, she'd have solved the first Kira case as an infant. I imagine she's just bouncing up and down in a stroller, and Soichiro brings by a bunch of mug shots and asks "Is this the guy?" until she spits up on Light's picture.
I assumed that our letter-based code names don't have anything to do with Wammy's House seeing as our characters aren't supposed to know each other. As such, it shouldn't matter at all what our code letters are whether it's L or N.

It's probably to keep identities secret as an anonymous think tank so that no one detective has sway over the others or even as a scare tactic against Kira. Like "The original was beaten by just L, and we've got the whole damn alphabet on your butt."
