Name: Mizat; The Weaver, The Left Hand of Bawzel
Sex:Mizat has no sex, possessing no reproductive organs. Its ambiguous appearance does not help either in identifying it. It seems to refer to itself as “he”, though feminine references do not cause the creature any distress.
Race: Ghoul
Ghouls are not a true race; in fact they are a shameful impersonation of life itself. They are creatures of stolen flesh, tied together by foul magic and given a fake spark of life to animate them. Absorbing magic by devouring those potent with it, using their stolen goblin flesh. Ghouls are an abomination of nature, a horrid art of necromancy. These rotting creatures can become dangerous quickly, learning like any child yet with no morals and utter loyalty to the abhorrent mortal who stitched them up.
Age: Just glancing at a ghoul one cannot tell its age, all growth has stopped and any flesh that’s become useless is simply replaced by its creator. However, Mizat is roughly six years old – rather old for a ghoul though technically these monsters are immortal as long as someone is there to maintain them.
Appearance:
Mizat is not a tall being; only standing at 4’7(140 cm) making it seem like a child compared to its comrades. It seems relatively mundane, mortal looking to the casual observer; like any normal child wrapped up in many layers of dark hued cloth covering the majority of its small frame. It’s skin is spread far too tight in places, revealing veins and tendons as they work, notable on his hands as his long fingers work each tendon and muscle poking out and moving so clearly visible underneath its transparent pallor of skin. On the end of each long finger are nails, nothing to take note of until they are burrowing into your flesh and that is when you notice how thick and oddly sharp such un-noteworthy features they are. Its face is more that of a child’s, seemingly young and perhaps even innocent; plump enough cheeks that flush a strange deep red, lips bordering on a deathly purple though give an odd wretched feeling to it. Its eyes are big enough, doll like perhaps and not seemingly human though mundane enough in its light grey color. Its smile seems charming enough, perhaps a dentist could fix some teeth here or there perhaps make it less yellow. It’s only when the creature grins further, opening its gaping jaw wider do you see the disturbing strength, the thick muscles holding it together and the large teeth capable of crushing bone. Mizat’s hair is thick and black, rather oily as it curls down to the nap of its neck. All in all, what one can see of Mizat seems plain enough, an odd child but a child nonetheless.
Unwrapping all those cloths however shows Mizat’s ghoul nature, those scars and stitches suddenly so very clear; making one even notice the fading ones around the other more visible parts of its body- it’s fingers, joints, neck, even around the ears you’ll notice. Its proportions seem off – somehow without that baggy clothing it seems not quite symmetrical. Its organs are noticeable underneath its skin; nothing is even, stomach bulging here and there not even in anyway in no way perfect or natural looking more akin to having been stuffed inside. Of course, you cannot overlook what’s obviously missing; no signs of anything down there or any development that might even give a hint of a gender in the chest. It appears like a patchwork doll of flesh once unrivaled from its clothing. In truth for a ghoul, Mizat is well made despite all these noticeable flaws. Most are crude beings who would never be able to walk through the countryside without stirring alarm, Mizat however is a well made doll with fine stitches and powerful magic poured into it still though it is just a mimicry of life and will never be completely perfect.
