Well, I mean, Lily is demoness. She becomes human through some very difficult trials in which Raleigh has helped her (a seraphim). She's supposedly dead. But, she gets reborn and gets her freedom back, but looses her "demonhood" while still retaining her demon...ness and immortality. She goes and meets a guy, normal and average in every way, that Lily gets attached to. He doesn't realize he's talking to a ex-demon and mistakes her for a starving artist looking for work and a life. They "fall in love", I say fall in love because love is iffy for Lily. Lily loves Rye in a platonic way due to what they've been through. In my opinion, Lily's just looking for something to grasp onto, since she pretty much lost everything. Ex can tell you something different that's probably true because he knows Lily better than I do. Or doesn't, because Lily is an enigma to all. But, yeah, their relationship is a strained one, seeing as Lily is pretty much superior in everything she does (minus things strength related 'cause, compared to other beings, she's frail and made of glass). All that fun stuff. The story is their relationship and Lily's coping with her pseudo-humanity, using this man as a mini-anchor, even if, ultimately, their relationship is a hot mess.

There, I explained the plot.

Now Miso, get that man into Lily's life so Raleigh can mess everything up make things better. Uh... make the relationship easy to handle. Or something like that.

Or just, you know, be selfish and shove wedding plans in Lily's face.

It's not required for you to get accepted, it just helps if you know how your character would interact with anyone else and it really solidifies the personality and speech pattern you had in mind for your character. Most of us will actually update as we go, so they don't need to be terribly long either. Someone like Flynn, who specializes in people and has been at the school for 6 years, would know people as they come and go, especially since he's a very, very observant wallfllower. Same for Hayden, but only the been there for 6 years part.

If your person is new, they'd know little, but they'd know enough to get a grasp on how they are on the surface, especially the teachers he/she will be working with. Also... uh... @_@ most people just think Flynn is creepy and no one but Hayden's family knows of his extremely vindictive nature.

Unless you plan on writing up notes, then it's not too terrible. I breezed through Hayden's.

I analyzed character personalities for Flynn... ._. so, that was like me studying and reporting on each of the characters. Which took forever.

Don't do the latter, and it should be fine as soon as you tap into how your character thinks. You aren't going to need to know some of the character's past, so I'd read over their personality and give thoughts on that. Most of the students and teachers have pasts that they don't talk about and that most guard heftily.

EDIT: Unless you were Brenden or Brenden convinced him to lighten up, which would be pushing it 'cause I'm not sure even Brenden could convince Hayden to... lighten up on the grudge holding, over the line formations of nasty, unnecessary vendettas.
