So, we all love conflict, but, I'm sure, to keep things interesting, the plot has to have points where we know what's going to absolutely happen.
There are things, I think, we need to agree on. (Mizuho didn't give me details of her and Ex's devious ploy *sob* even though I'm one of her Co-GMs)
First and foremost, how do we want this to end?
In the most generalized way possible without giving too much info, such as Jacob getting 'fixed' or falling deeper down his rabbit hole. Acacia going past the point of no return or finding that sliver of light. Alice finding something to grasp onto in her shitty world or offing herself because things got too difficult. That's up to us to decide through our character's actions, mindsets, and relationships. What I want to know is if everyone wants a happy ending or a bad one—in the most generalized term. We're looking at the big picture, in that do we want the majority of the characters to find happiness and 'victory' or do we want the majority of our characters to plummet and fall?
This may not be my place to decide and you all might just want to toss it up in the air and give no fucks (in the best way possible) as to how the story ends. Leave it up to fate to decide. I'm asking because I'm sure our dear GM would love an idea of how to move the plot forward without getting it stuck anywhere and I'd like to help her do that.
I think it works either way, to be honest, whether we want to decide right now what happens in the end, or just let it go (LET IT GOOO. I AM ONE WITH THE WIND AND SKYYYYY and I won two Oscars). Ex, Lia, Dread, and I have had our fair share of plot building thickness and setting solid points in which our story can veer towards in case things get... too crazy. Things did kinda get too crazy, from time to time...
I'm throwing this out there and not just mumbling over PMs with Mizuho because I enjoy, as a player, feeling like I'm really contributing to building the world and the relationships and the plot. I'm assuming you all like that too, but I could be mistaken (DAMN YOU SHEEPLES). I, personally, think it's good to get EVERYONE involved because that keeps the interest at a high and gives people something to do and look forward to. That's my two-cents, there and I'm sure there are counter arguments to that and stuff.
And to get you guys thinking here's a rhetorical question (I guess you can answer it, but I don't think you should? Not heeere, at least): How do you want your characters to turn out in this? As in, what's their end point at the end of this RP?
I think it's a good idea to set goals for ourselves and our characters, to keep our eyes on something (and to keep us interested and moving). I think it'll help develop them better, as well, though I'm sure Ex has his own plans and ideas on this 'cause he's a butt. Writing stuff like this down can also help ingrain it into your thoughts and keep your characters dynamic.
