I was kidding. (mostly (;)Hope your life settles down soon Hae, and your internet gets better.

Our last internet provider had one outage after a bad snowstorm that lasted like 3 days and my father up and decides that we need a new one. Not a month after and we've had around three outages that lasted most of the day each with a faulty wireless connection. I don't understand the logic of going from a perfectly stable one to one that happens to go down once a week...

I am here. I'm just over run with school work. But we can finish the Caci/Tori post if you want, Miz! :P I'm starting to think Hae disappearing everytime I suggest a collab is personal ;)

It's still midterms for me, so I'm still rather busy. But, like I said, this is my last day before break so I'm a lot freer. With that being said, I still have a paper to write that I have to email to my professor on Friday. Why? Because we're still talking about the guy I'm doing my paper on. ._.

And my internet provider had an outage yesterday, so I didn't do much 'cept a CS for a different RP and reading up on some Libertarian stuff for my paper. =/
Nah, I've just been busy with school lately. It should let up after tomorrow.

And my internet provider had an outage today from 8am to 12am...

Oh, nevermind then. I thought it was related to the hulk.

No, Teddy may be green, but that's not because of gamma-radiation. :P The only thing at all similar between the Hulk and Hulkling are their names and their skin colors (some of the time). He's still super strong, durable, etc, but definitely not on the same level as Superman or Hulk. Plus, I'm pretty sure his main factor is his shapeshifting anyways.
Real name:

James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes

Alias:

Bucky

Age:

19

Appearance/Costume:

Abilities:

Marksman

Through the beginnings of World War II, Bucky was trained, like every other soldier, to shoot and shoot well. However, Bucky has a natural affinity toward sharpshooting and can accurately hit targets at long distances and whilst movie. He's exceptionally skilled at sniping, though he still has roughly the same lethality with any other firearm. Need someone shot? Need that person shot without the hassle of going through a ton of armed guards? Bucky's your man.

Martial Arts/Hand-to-Hand Combat

Having spent some time in the army, Bucky's been trained in various CQC tactics and has a moderate knowledge of incapacitating an opponent up close. Though, his time, however short it was, with Steve Rogers certainly gave him more knowledge about melee fighting than most people in his squadron. Bucky, though not a master at it, has the means to incapacitate, disarm, and fend for himself should he need to. As well, the recent year has given him time to both adjust to the present world and better train himself.

Peak Human Conditioning

Though, not evident in his small time as a soldier during WWII, the recent year has given Bucky plenty of time to condition himself to his body's maxim and furthering that with more training with Captain America himself. Bucky has the strength, stamina, and agility of a human being very much close to his peak, though it certainly doesn't match that of Batman or Cap. He can certainly do what an average person can't in terms of athleticism and is on par with many of the other young heroes. Among his talents, though, Bucky is extremely equipped to handle stealth and reconnaissance missions. He excels at slipping past enemy lines and back, retrieving things that should be heavily guarded, and essentially going unnoticed on the battlefield until the time would be right to reveal himself.

Bionic Arm

Installed and built by Stark Industries (with the reluctant acceptance of help from Bruce Wayne), Tony Stark fitted and built Bucky and replacement for the arm he lost during his recovery, having been apparently lost to the collapsing of the building he was found deep under. The arm is retrofitted with an assortment of its own abilities and is tailored and wired into Bucky's nervous system. Tony's recent pride and joy—soon to be shadowed by whatever else he has planned—he personally slapped his logo onto it, though this part is unnecessary to detail out. It caused quite a controversy, in which Bucky was thrown into a mix as their personal trophy case; it's been decided that no logo is to be slapped onto his bionic arm, "especially not a dirty Bat Symbol".

Functions

Bucky's arm can do an assortment of things, though it's obvious it has much more use than his actual body and more capacity to do things. Among the many uses, Bucky's arm is able to lift things beyond the normal human capacity, and can pack a mean punch that can even do a number on Cap himself (though not enough to severely harm him). It's tuned to react and respond at inhuman speeds, is equipped with Stark's signature palm blasts, though a definitely weaker version than that of the Iron Man suit and is electrical based, EMP bursts, a built in grappling hook, a la Batman. It's extremely durable and very resistant to all elements, completely immune to anything electrical based, and can is capable of still being able to move should it detach from Bucky.

Brief bio:

Bucky's early life was... at best, not so great. At its worst, it was like living hell. But, that's not what shaped him into the man he was or could be. Time in the war, in training, in living in a complete distraction from his home life, and what he was to do and made to do was what made him the man he is today.

At a young age, James Barnes aspired to be a soldier, a man of the armed forces. Something his father held great respect for. However, at an early age, he lost both parents and a sister, to some extent, and was thrown into a state of being not ordinary for a young kid, such as himself. He wasn't quite old enough to be a soldier, but he was still old enough and smart enough to try. Finally, he was admitted to basic training where he met an equally eager young man, a Steve Rogers. A meek individual with little to no capacity for anything athletic, it was obvious the man shouldn't have been where he was then, but there was something in Rogers that many men didn't see and if they did, it drove them to jealousy. His courage, his bravery, and his unwavering loyalty and sense of justice was nothing but admiring to Bucky; that was what he wanted to be and what he was there for.

However, despite Bucky and Steve forming an intense bond during their short time together, Steve was taken away from him and placed in a super soldier program he and everyone else was blind to. To Bucky, he was just shipped off to war to unfortunately die. But valiantly, he'd always reassure himself. During this time, Bucky rushed through the months until war was smacked into his face like the rest of those in boot camp. It was then, at an outpost in Britain, that he met Steve again, but a different Steve, a man who looked like he could ram into an ongoing train and win. He became the man he was inside and, though to Bucky, he'd always be the same meek, do-gooder, and tiny Steve he met not months ago. It was then, though, that he found just what his friend's purpose was, though this was to be kept absolute secret; the costumed Captain America couldn't have been the frail Steve Rogers he was, not now, at least.

They didn't see each other much, but the times they spent together was either in further training or in simply relaxing, retelling stories, laughing and being friends. This was short lived, as well, as Bucky found himself at the end of a Nazi gun barrel during a routine scouting mission. From then, he was assumed K.I.A, despite the Captain's relentless search.

It's why it came as a surprise when James Buchanan Barnes was found over half a century later in critical condition, in a supposedly destroyed Nazi submarine somewhere in the icy Oceans above the UK. Around him was the wreckage of the aquatic vehicle, of which he was found in a cryostasis container, partially destroyed and completely drained of power. The submarine's explosion under the deep sea had subsequently taken its toll on Bucky's body, particularly his arm. A large part of the hull had torn apart the container holding him, crushing and tear off part of his arm, though the ice that he was already encased in and the below freezing level of the water he was in was enough to preserve him for the duration of the 20th century and a whole decade and a half of the next.

Still in critical condition, and having been found by S.H.I.E.L.D, his identity had been wrongfully discovered by returning Steve Rogers. Appalled by the sight, he tore away the S.H.I.E.L.D agents surrounding him in a rage, only to be stopped by an equally outraged Nick Fury. After a lengthy discussion, Nick had rightfully given up the recently thawed, but still unconscious, Bucky to Cap and his team. Before awaking, however, Cap commissioned his long time team mates Tony Stark and Bruce Wayne to help equip Bucky with a prosthetic arm. Both heroes went above and beyond through rigorous competition and Tony did the honor of fastening the bionic arm onto Bucky's unconscious figure.

After waking up in the medical center of the JL HQ, Bucky was immediately put into a manic, nearly catatonic state, feeling the shell shock of war and the forceful introduction into a new timeline, a new culture. Once he was calmed by an understanding Captain America and subdued by Superman, Bucky came to terms with what happened to him. Came to terms, but not really accepted his new fate. He spent the subsequent year adjusting to the new times, dealing with the ongoing mental instability of culture shock, and possibly more, and wasting away his time training about twenty-four/seven. It was obvious Bucky wouldn't fit well into the actual world, especially not as an ordinary individual, so the Captain, seeing an opportunity arising, found it best to place him with other like minded individuals. Well, as like minded as was possible. A group of heroes would understand his qualms, though maybe not in the way he feels them, but definitely in their own way. Everyone has some kind of baggage to deal with.
I might make Wiccan, but before I do, I just wanna make sure if anyone has any intention of taking on Hulkling? Just wanted to know beforehand. :o
ASURA!

So, like... who died? (Not it; Pascale is not it either)

Gahhhh... finally finished with my project! I found out why we were given a month to work on it three weeks too late. Boo, procrastination. D':Anyway, now that I have free time again, I'll get on to finally finishing friggin' Jack and get his post up. Siiix, I'll get back to you soon.

Projects are definitely pains in the butts. I still have to do my paper on Kant and Aristotle's theories on morality and ethics. I'm just being a lazy butt, but how hard could it be? It's just four pages, right? Right...? T_T I just have one week until Spring Break and I want to come like nao.

I've uh, been doing a project today. @_@

I sorta found out that SWTOR was having a double XP weekend. I kinda went hardcore and leveled a character from like 10 to 23 in the span of a few hours. *Cough* I went South Park on that crap and killed a bunch of boars 'n stuff. Not really. I won't get into detail. If I'm not sucked into the same thing tomorrow, I'll definitely get back to you all then. But, if not... then... I probably will Sunday 'cause that's my Walking Dead day and I make sure not to do anything then 'cause I'm a terribly forgetful person. DVR is my best friend and confidant in situations like that.

But, yus, you should totally (I wrote way too much in that PM, btw. I was either on a sugar high, or just thinking too much. It was probably both—it was most definitely both. I need to stop making Diabeetus Waffles and drinking Monsters on my drive home). We've convinced Spooner to join in our Pad Party, now we just need the rest of you guys and our evul planz will be fulfilled.
You already know that I'm right here.
It's spring break for a lot of peoples QQ

Dun worry Miso, they're all probably just down in Florida getting high off Molly and super drunk and causing a ruckus amongst the natives of Florida. Damn whippersnappers, blasting dubstep and Katy Perry and Justine Beaver and making a mess in my damn lawn!
Sounds fun. :o

I might decide to go Wiccan , if that's okay. You didn't include Scarlet Witch in that line up, sadly. @_@ But, yeah, I'll do some tweaking to make him more interesting in this setting. I'll try not to have his backstory rely on too many characters popping up ( T_T Teddy ).

If I can't think of anything interesting, then I'll just have to spend a little more time making a character. I might have something interesting that I could come up with for Superboy... or hey, maybe I could even do something with Bucky. Uh, if I make him a lot younger, that is... and either incorporate the Winter Soldier arc ( which is too dark for what you're looking for) or come up with something different to get him into the same timeline as Cap.
