Eve's eyes widened slightly. She had not been expecting this. Bel was, undoubtedly, stronger than she had anticipated. All the seraphs were in accord that she was the most capable for the cleanup. Though Harp thought that she hated him, that wasn't exactly true. In fact, he was her most favorite student- though Eve wasn't meant to have any. She had blinded him simply so he wouldn't see what she would do.

She had known that Harp was a cupid all along, contrary to what the pink-eyed angel believe. However, she was well aware that it was very possible that Harp might never, ever receive his wings. In her mind, it was better to make him dislike her rather than have him cry for her when he was banished from their realm. It hurt, knowing that the angel would succumb to his fate. Though Eve would be lying if she said she never regretted what she had done. Realizing that it was very much possible that she would meet her end, she cried out, converting her body into light in an attempt to escape. "Harp!" She cried. "Do not succumb... to the darkness! You are a being of light." With that, the female angel let out one more breath before exploding in a shower of light and dust.

It was her attempt at escaping.

As soon as her body dispersed, the cupid's vision returned. He blinked a few times, feeling the wet of his eyes burn. The first thing he noticed was Bel. Or... at least he thought it was Bel. The demon was very belligerent, and looked extremely out of control The shadows were contorting and dancing in a particularly eerie manner. The angel panted. He had heard Eve. Her words seemed to douse his fire. He didn't know what to do anymore...
Sorry for the meh post.
Might have one of the hydras attack. xD
Edge nodded in understanding. "You don't know what they'll look like, either, huh?" The boy laughed a little. "It's okay. It doesn't matter what they look like, does it?" He asked rhetorically. He noted that Path was tired. Anyone would be exhausted after giving birth. Per his mate's request. Edge withdrew his hand and stood up. "Yeah, I'll go get you some water!" He said before dashing out of the room with his usual energy and hyperactivity.

The violet-eyed human sighed. Since he was keen on remembering his past, Edge could name every member of his 'family'. Though they revered him as their king, they loved each other. But Edge recalled, the clan of hydras only had each other. Ostracized and exiled from the other dragons, they built their castle at the very edge of the world. Hence, Edge's name. On the 'edge' between paradise and existence. He remembered each one affectionately. Though he had died many times, it was not always another hydra resulted from his death. He was the 'original'. If any of the others tried to cut off their necks, then they would be reborn, but they would never spawn another hydra. That was Edge's lone power.

Edge realized that since his family couldn't die, they had to still be roaming the Earth. Or, perhaps they ruled a part of the world, as Noire had. When the human had first seen her, he revered her as an enemy. But now that he remembered her, she was more like a sister. They were very close. Edge thought it was ironic that he was the oldest of all of them, but acted and appeared to be one of the youngest. As the boy reached the well, which held less than three gallons of water, he smiled. Though he had died an infinite number of times, he only had seven other hydras.

No matter how close he was to them, though, he had never returned any of their courtships. Both male and female. All of them shared one key feature: the ultraviolet eyes that made them easily distinguishable. Leonides was a male hydra who was by far, the laziest! He would spend his days lounging about the castle. Blizzard was a hardworking female hydra. She had left on a mission to wipe out all the red dragons. Beelzebub was the most malicious of them, often torturing and toying with his victims before ripping them to pieces. Noire was the most vain, but was very protective of them. Charon was the little brother of the group, always asking stupid questions. Forte was their warrior. He had brought a sky city to the ground all by himself. December was a female hydra who knew just about everything there was to know. She was very influential, and even had a month named after herself!

Filing a thermos with the liquid treasure, Edge carefully made his way back. "Here you go, Path-Path!" He sang, placing it by his mate and squeezing the dragon's hand. "You should rest. You look tired." Edge remembered his love for his old family, but now he had a new one. Perhaps, if they were still alive, they were looking for him. Edge's eyes burned. He had to protect his family- Path, Sleipnir, and Skylark.
Harp cried out in surprise as the demon awoke. Though he couldn't see, he could tell the demon was no longer in his arms. Harp had heard of powerful angels and demons being able to change their form, but had never actually witnessed it himself. Even though he couldn't see, he was able to visualize. There was... a great evil emerging. This much, he was certain.

The female angel simply narrowed her eyes. She was an angel who called herself Evening, though it was obvious she had another. Eve, as she was often referred to, was a three-winged angel. Though three may not seem like much, it was a symbol of her amazing powers. Harp knew her, because she had mentored him for a bit. She was always gentle, and kind. That is, until she found out that he was a cupid. Then it was all bad for him. At any rate, she wasn't phased by the demon in the slightest. She was an elite angel, a three-winged one!

Raising her hand, she cast a flash. The same technique used on Harp.
Seeing that Path would let him touch and feel the eggs, Edge beamed. "Thank you..." He murmured before slowly making his way to where the dragon lay and knelt down. The hard floor hurt his knees, and made him flinch. Edge's eyes were bright, though they were still darker than they usually were.

Eggs made him think of food. It was wrong to think of your children as food, but raised as he was, the human couldn't help it. Tenderly, he placed a hand against a shell. It was thicker than he thought it would be, and colder, too. It was very large, especially for an egg. Surprisingly, Edge wasn't thinking about cutting them open, or experimenting on them. Though perhaps he would run some tests on them once they were older, Edge realized that he was going to be a parent. Though this should have been obvious, Edge didn't feel the weight of this responsibility until just now, when he his palm was pressed against a single treasure like this. This egg, so fragile now, would grow to be a dragon stronger than he could comprehend...

Edge recalled dragons' bodies entered their prime much faster than other beings. It wasn't uncommon for children to appear the same age as their parents. Something about having a superior biological makeup. Edge suddenly yelped. He felt something... maybe a heartbeat? At any rate, the scientist had regained much of his sanity. Just being with Path had that effect on him, anyways. It was true. Edge was a hopeless sap, at least for the white dragon. His mate.

"I... What do you think they'll be like?" He was about to ask what they would look like, but he didn't know himself, and perhaps didn't need to find out. Suppose they were more reptilian than human? Or were unable to transform? That would be awful! Though Edge would still try to love them. The teen let out a deep breath. "Ah, I feel like there's a twister in my tummy..." He mumbled.
Whoops!
Sorry I've been busy w/ school! Anyways, if you ever need to reach me, I just made a kik. It's MonochromeSky.
As Harp hugged the demon, he heard a rushed apology. Pink eyes snapped open in confusion. "Bel... what are you apologizing for...?" The white-haired angel responded, not pulling his face away from the other's chest. As the footsteps sped up, Harp gave the warm blooded demon one final squeeze before reluctantly pulling away to get a better look at what was going on. What he saw made him grimace. Bel appeared to be sleeping like a baby. He looked a little like a puppy when he slept like this. Harp paused, before reaching out to squeeze the sleeping demon's cheek, giggling shortly after.

However, he wouldn't be able to pinch his victim's cheek for long. Soon, the female angel had arrived. She was tall, almost six feet. She had blonde hair that was perfectly shaped, along with her perfect lips. Perfect skin tone matched perfectly white wings. She was the very epitome of beauty and elegance. She was also very vain. Harp was unimpressed by her. "Why hello!" She sang. She knew him, but he wished he didn't know her. "My, my. You did it! You captured him. Now, just hand him-" Harp's eyes widened.

"No! Get away, you witch!" Harp may have entranced Bel, but he didn't want to give him up. The angel frowned.

"Witch? Now, that's not very polite..." She raised her hand, and Harp saw a flash of light. He cried out in pain. He was temporarily blinded.
Edge could see it in his mate's eyes. The golden eyes that he loved so much. They were different than his own cursed eyes, he recalled. They had superior abilities.

Edge could see the pain, and understood that Path wanted him to keep away. Breathing out sharply, Edge's violet eyes flickered with something. But with what? Anger? Sorrow? No. Edge hated it, but he knew exactly what was in his eyes. This was why Path didn't trust him. Could the white dragon see it in his eyes? He was envious of his children. In Path's eyes, they were worth more than him. Round, wet tears rolled down Edge's cheeks as he saw Path transform back into a human.

Edge knew better than to get closer. All he did was let himself tear up. He wanted to smash those eggs. He wanted to hurl them at the sky and watch them fall back onto the Earth with a sickening crack! At this, he cried. He knew that once he was alone with the eggs, he could get rid of them. Then he would tell Path he was attacked. It was perfect. But Path suspected him, didn't he...?

The human cried out, the sound ripping through his gut and out into the underground air. What was he thinking? "Path-Path! I'm so sorry..." Edge choked out. Path was being awfully cold to him. Was it possible he knew what he had done to him? Made him his slave? No, that was ridiculous. "Please..." Edge said, getting a little closer to his family. "Let me... Let me feel them... I want to hold them... I want to hold my kids..." The male whispered.
