Something new came from his brother. This was another man, one with eyes that sparkled a bright, bright gold. This was 'mommy'? Skylark suddenly was tired. For some reason, he had a feeling he should sleep. What he didn't realize was resting his mind would help him develop, though it was important to think, as well. Suddenly, he was overcome with a feeling of being weightless. Deciding to let it go, Skylark drifted off, the mental connection with his brother severed in the process.

Edge rubbed Sleipnir's egg a bit longer, then slowly stood up. After making sure they were warm, edge crept back to his and Path's shared bedroom, where the dragon was still peacefully sleeping. Edge knew that his mate was in a coma, but was unsure if he could hear him. Now would be the best time, he thought, to confess. Edge tenderly sat in his mate's stomach and squeezed Path's shoulders. They were so tough...

"Path-Path?" He asked, though realized he would recieve no response. "The kids are okay. They're still eggs, of course. But. Um... I need to, to confess something to you.' Edge realized his eyes were a bit wet, abnd he paused to regain his composure. "I know you're familiar with mind control, seeing how you can induce it and all. Well, I might have hypnotized you at one point." Edge paused once more. "And when I did turn you into my slave, that was when you giot pregnant. I know..." Edge paused. "You can hear me. And I'm sorry. If, when you wake, you want me to leave, I get it. Just- Just know that I love you." Edge's hand traveled to his own heart. "Even a heart as cold and black as a hydra's can feel love. I just love you so, so, so much!" With that, Edge bolted out of the room.

*Mini-Timeskip!*

It had been seven days since Path had fdallen asleep, and Edge had made it his point to make sure the eggs were always warm. He would caress their shells and read to them. Currently, Edge was sitting on a sofa with one egg on ewither side of him They had grown quite a bit. Edge couldn't even carry them anymore; he had to roll them. "Daddy loves you, Sleipnir. You too, Skylark!" Edddge soothed. He giggled. He didn't think they could understand him, but he usually got a nudge from Sleipnir. If he couldn't feel Skylark's heartbeat, he wouldn't have thought there was a baby in there.

BY now, Skylark was able to understand his daddy speak Dragons were, after all, fast learners. PLus, he had nothing better to do than to learn. And he could tell he loved to learn. "Sleipnir?" Skylark voiced. Skylark's voice was similar to Edge's, but was softer and filled with wonder. "I love you, Sleipnir... I want to meet Daddy now... Do you?" He voiced telepathically.
Eventually they'll all be the same biological age, so it doesn't really matter. I'll do a little timeskip. Maybe a day or two.
Got it
,I'm usually not into the taboo pairings, but Edge x Sleipnir is so adorable! XD
After a bit more rubbing, Edge drew his hands back. He would need to move them eventually. Furrowing his eyebrows, the human wondered where to put them. Path took up half of their bed, so it wouldn't make sense to put them there. The storage facilities wwere no places for children. Suddenly, Edge knew. The library. Human babies were more advanced if they were read top, but Edge doubted it would matter. The library was cozy and he could place the eggs- no, Sleipnir ans Skylark- near a heater. Takeing one egg in each arm, Edge carefully carried his offspring to the library and gently placed them in front of a metal heater. Flicking it on, Edge giggled.

"Your uh... other daddy's sleepy, but I'll take care of you two." Edge confided. He sighed,l laying diown between the two eggs and let the heat wash over him. "Lalala..." He sang gently. Not even Path had heard him sing, because he was always embarassed about it. ""When the stars fall... Lalala..." He sang them an ancient lullaby the Sky had once sang to him. He pressed his lips to Sleipnir's egg. "I bet you guys will be really handsome, just like your father!"

Skylark stopped listening to his father, and turned his attention to his brother. Home? What was home? Deciding he would know soon enough, he asked, 'Sleepy?' Suddenly, he was struck with the image of a male with bright violet eyes. It was Path's memory. Taking the image, he projected it to Sleipnir. "Daddy." He repeated.
Harp laughed openly at the demon's strange request. He had been prepared for the worst, so the innocent request had caught him off guard. "Do you really buy hair dye...?" Harp asked playfully. "Hm... I guess your real hair color is black, huh?"

At that, the angel twisted his fingers in the demon's hair. It was soft and pretty silky. "Hm... Hair dye's not good for you, though." With that, Harp grabbed Bel's hand. "Well, let's go, then!" He said, leading the demon up the staircase.

Staircases, he thought, were good. They represented moving and change. Without stairs, only those with wings would be able to reach higher places. As such, he was grateful that there was a stone staircase.
Edge sighed as Path fell asleep. Casting a glance to the eggs, the human bit his lip. He didn't know how he was going to take care of them until Path woke up. Maybe he could incubate them somewhow. He could smother them in blankets. Or maybe put them in the oven for a bit. No! That would kill them. Edge gulped. Taking care of the eggs would have to come first. But they were dragon eggs. Edge recalled attacking a colony once. He had hurled some eggs off a cliff, and they survived.

Grunting, the human hoiseted Path on his back and carried him to theier bedroom, where he promptly deposited the dragon. After making sure he looked comfortable on the bed, the violet-eyed boy skipped back to where the eggs were. He leaned down to lay one hand on each. "Daddy loves you..." He soothed. For now, he would just rub his palms on the shells.

Skylark heard something. A voice. He didn't understand what Edge was saying, However, he still liked the sound. He was warm, from his brother's kind of thoughts. Perhaps it was possible they could communicate because they were brothers. Twins. At any rate, Skylark sent, 'Daddy'. It was an odd thought, and he didn't know what it meant. But it just felt right.
That's good. Keep it real.
I shall wait until then! xD
