Alright, it makes sense for the Order to invest a good plane in a good ship anyways. But do note that just because you have a P-51D Mustang, doesn't mean that you're the king of the skies. There's some real nasty stuff flying around.

You can have either a biplane or something like the Polikarpov I-16, if your character is new to the crew. If not, maybe a Spitfire/Hurricane Mk.I
One of the things about this RP is going around and finding really cool stuff to keep. You can potentially have a laser gatling gun on a biplane.

You can have a plane, I'm just saying that you can't have the pinnacle of propeller fighter plane aviation immediately.

Yeah starting slow lets you get better at painting.
Also, the thing about small craft is, we don't want anyone to start off super MLG Lvl120 Dragonknight Rider with a 10,000 year old ancient Elder Dragon of Legend.
So if you want to be a small craft pilot, you'll probably get a propeller scout plane with 2 LMGs on it. Later on, we can find stuff that will upgrade your plane, or certain points in the RP you'll get a completely new plane.

You can have equipment that deploys a turret, but not a gun that fires turrets themselves. That's pretty wonky.
