By the by, I raided Ironstone and torched their cities, giving me 700,000 bullis.
Sucks to see it go. I likely won't have the time to return, but I hope Jorvik returns as powerful and connected as it is now as an NPC. Maybe an off-map state like the Empire

Boerd and Pepper, grow up and stop this shit before you're ban (and I take over your countries or someone else does).

Actually, this discourse has been quite adult and I appreciate the respect Pepper has shown me. A mutual presentation of facts and an amicable back and forth,

Given the nature of war, it is an enormous factor. The Krupp guns (artillery) were the first steel guns.

Just wondering, why didn't you complain about this in the last RP? Why is this suddenly so important to you? I said I'd stop arguing about this, so I won't push further than this. But honestly, I sincerely believe Prussia is accurately represented here. You're trying to pretend a rifle is all 'equipment' accounts for. It's not.

Because I hadn't done my due dilligence. What I did do was ask Outcast to more than quadruple Austria's population on the eve of war as my research turned that up. What I have done is ask Mexico be accurately high so a competitor can takeover the largest silver producer in the world. The truth is the truth.

You're ignoring the point.

I'm not ignoring the point. If I was say, Nepal or Liechtenstein, where A) There is much less reliable historical information and B) I would lose any war no matter what. Therefore Nepalese accuracy in equipment is not worth the effort of even the act of editing, let alone GM independent research. However, the circumstances for Prussia are far different, therefore, the argument that "You are strong enough because reasons" doesn't fly, as Prussian accuracy to reality has broad implications. We play WiR to play reality as best as we can.

I have a good chance of getting invaded from multiple fronts too. Should I get better equipment?

Is that what reality says? Let's check.

Nope.

You don't need good equipment to win a war against somebody. The fact that Prussia defeated France in real life is, if anything, a testament to their excellent leadership and strategy - which, by the way, is well-represented here with an army level superior to everyone else.EDIT: Call back when you have a colonial empire and all the benefits of France and the UK.

Theory<Reality.

That does not alter the truth. Nobody is saying that the British navy should take a cut compared to reality. And considering the odds of Britain getting navally gangbanged are far lower than Prussia's odds of getting multifront invaded, an argument far stronger than "You are strong enough because reasons" is needed to negate reality.

An Empire in decline. The UK and France are still very strong, and therefore able to field the military with better equipment. Prussia is a state that is still on the climb and is far from being anywhere on the level of the UK and France.

That's an inane argument. Because
1. We have real history, so we don't need theory. Real history says Prussia has the best service rifle and fantastic artillery.
2. Prussia walked up and down France ten years in the future.
