As they continued to walk, out of the streets and into the trees, through the brush...along no path in particular, So'kein was already unaware of where they were going. Or rather, she had already forgotten. After she had unwittingly asked about Edward, Maren spoke up rather bluntly.

"Dead." It hit her hard. He continued on through the trees, stumbling foolishly onward, though she hardly noticed. She wondered if they'd at least been able to give the poor soul a proper burial. She thought to ask, but everyone seemed too coldly focused at the moment. They could all feel the impending danger ahead. So'kein could already sense the dark anger that was waiting for them. It was the type of feeling which wrapped around you like a serpent and squeezed, so that you were too scared to move a muscle in case you should hurry its grip.

Clutching onto the black onyx amulet hanging round her neck--it hanged among many other necklaces--she softly began to murmur in elvish:

"Anta vara tel' Seldarine. Ama poldora. Amin sinta thaliolle e' dagor, Aegisess tivis vanwa lye e' dangora." Then she looked on and shook her head. "We're all damned now unless by some act of the gods..." She didn't speak to anyone but herself. And as she looked at each of them, hoping for their survival, even those she didn't know, she recalled what these few had already been through.

And then...they hit trouble. As Marren cussed and jumped into action, the others quickly followed suit. So'kein was near the flank of their group by now, and upon hearing his swearing she quickly sat down her chest leaving Rin to protect it and withdrew her sabre. "Maybe the gods are favored to us...or else maybe we've already been through hell and left to live in this damned life. Gurth goth rim lye!" She cried, as she held her sabre steady and followed the others faithfully. She couldn't abandon them this time.
I've been waiting to post until there were some more in between my last one. But I've been checking here, I didn't wanna nag people to post in the OOC and seem all impatient. I figured Izaka and Negative needed to post next..(?)
*hugz*

hang in there & no worries :)
Yay!!
/cough
Ah so this is why no new posts :P
Yeah. I made sense of it after I posted that. It wouldn't make sense for you to post again so quickly. I'm kinda...slow with the brain thinky thing.
Where? The one before mine, or did you post again since then?
A scream rang out from the trees in the distance. So'kein looked to the others. They had all become distracted just prior to the sound. Akira's attention had been pulled away by an interesting stranger, who had rather abruptly approached and asked the woman to bear his children. Strange. So'kein had thought of it. This must be the latest custom of courtship. She guessed it wasn't too strange, considering her own rather direct proposal, but it hadn't been quite so...lewd. Perhaps the man was speaking to Akira in an innocent way. Or perhaps he thought she was a woman if ill repute, whose services could be easily hired. Though as beautiful as she was, at least in So'kein's own opinion--a woman of the beauty and grace true to her elven heritage--she didn't dress or act in any way like the sorts of women in brothels. Nope, this new guy was certainly just a strange one. Of course, what could be called strange in this group?

Around the same time Akira had first approached, another new face had arrived with her. That man looked distant, but focused. He began some discussion with Marren and so So'kein was left to her own devices. She started counting. If Akira, and Captain Marren were here, plus two new faces...Maria had wandered off, and of course counting herself...

"Then what happened to dear Edward..?" She asked aloud into the silence as she accompanied the group wherever it was they had decided to go.
Idk how either is confusing.
