Just wondering, in the case of Ginny's psychometry, what counts as touching an object? If someone kicked a door down with booted feet, would she have to read the boots to see who did it, or the door? Or would the close proximity of the foot to the door render the boot between those two things irrelevant to her findings that the notorious Boot-man was the one who did it? (Assuming this is an unnassuming boot and not the kind of boot that only a boot-themed superhero would wear, which, by simple deduction, would have led to bootman anyway.)
