Sophie gave Valgius a strange look. Strange devices? They were perfectly normal. She sighed. Then again this guy was far from normal. She stepped into the kitchen of the apartment and opened the fridge. She pulled out a carton of orange juice and placed it on the white marble side. She then opened one of the cupboards and pulled out a glass before pouring some of the orange juice into it.
"Oh, sorry. Did you want some?" She asked, turning towards Valgius.
Sophie noticed the strange symbol on Valgius' back. She examined it with her eyes but didn't say anything about it. She laughed at Valgius' question though.
"I don't live here. I live upstairs, in one of the apartments," She told him, before walking silently to the bottom of the stairs. She beckoned for him to follow her and walked up them before standing outside a door. She fiddled for a few seconds in her jacket pocket and found a shiny silver key. She pushed the key into the lock and turned it before taking it back out. She then opened the door and waited for Valgius to enter.
Sophie smirked.
"Nah, I'm not backing down. I'll defeat this guy. One way or another," She announced to him, making it clear she would go too. She then stepped out of the shop (which was as Valgius had made out, useless) and dodged her way through the crowds of people until she came to a tall building. She typed a security code into the pad next to the door and opened it, walking in and holding it open for Valgius.
Sophie sighed heavily as she followed him into the shop.
"I'll come with you. You obviously don't know what your doing so you kinda need me," She told him, stating what appeared to be the obvious. She remembered that he said he'd be looking for a sword.
"You won't find no decent swords here, you know. If you want something decent you'll have to come back to my place. I have loads of weaponry. Keep it quiet though, don't wanna get found out." Now that she looked at him properly, she realized he was actually kinda good looking... What the hell was she thinking now?!
Sophie sighed. This guy thought he had control her? He thought he could give her orders? Even so, she followed him, seeing where he would go. He obviously didn't know his way around and after ordering her like that, Sophie just watched him wander around aimlessly with a huge smirk on her face. Served him right for thinking he could order her around. What he didn't know though, was that she was going no where near Akumu. She wasn't going to let herself be killed so easily.
Valgius was from a different dimension?! But that can't be possible! Sophie stood there, shocked at even the idea of it, never mind it actually being real. She then heard why the strange lady called her the Child of Destiny. She'd oppose Akumu? The guy who had been destroying hundreds of cities, worldwide? The guy who cannot be defeated no matter what power the person trying had? This couldn't be right! But the lady never said defeat him... She was gonna die wasn't she...?
"No... That isn't true!" She yelled at the lady. She didn't want to die.
Sophie followed the two, wondering if she should actually be following. She did seem to only be talking to Valgius really. But she followed anyway. After all, she was curious and confused. Who was this Valgius guy? And what was the Child of Destiny? Obviously not her, as she had no clue what the lady was talking about. She hated going back into the city, full of people and cars and near death experiences. She followed them into the slums in the city and sighed. Great now she'd be asked for handouts by homeless people. Well they shouldn't expect anything from her, she barely had a home herself. As she walked inside a run-down looking building, she noticed a Crystal Ball on a table. So she was a fortune teller, huh? Probably just looking for some money then, Sophie thought to herself.
Sophie stepped back slightly. What? Who was this? What was she talking about?
"Child of Destiny? I'm not that!" She exclaimed. She wasn't, she was just a regular girl who seemed more like a tomboy than anything else. She didn't have any special destiny or have magic powers. If she was talking about defeating that Imp, then she had no idea. She'd pretty much lived among the Imps, all her life, she'd learnt how to defeat them easily. It was part of her childhood.
Sophie stared at him, confused. What was all this he'd been saying? Known lands? Masked Minion? Evil Dark Lord Barracador? What? And Darkelings? What were they and surely he'd seen these creatures before? But he said he hadn't. How? They were everywhere!
"Uh..." Sophie mumbled, still confused. "They are Imps," She told him before walking up to him. She'd never seen clothes like these before. Where the hell could he have come from?! He was so different, so strange.
Sophie sighed. This guy had so many questions. But where the hell was Draktor City?! Or even the Masked Village?!
"You're in Kurisutaru. Well the outskirts anyway. It's too busy to actually go in, I warn you," Sophie shuddered at the thought. Ugh people. She hated it all. "I'm Sophie and I don't know what 'Focus' is so I can't help you there. What's your name?" She asked, curiously. This guy was strange. Really strange.
