Lol! We'll be all over the place.
You guys can probably guess where the origin locations of some of e species are.

I've had a lot of fun thinking about wind magic. The more I think about it, the more interesting it gets. I'm going to have a lot of fun writing about it, too.

Yeah! That's awesome ^~^ all the magic types hold so much potential. It's about creativity.
Okay. Here's my secret.

Each dragon has a place of origin in Illos. And through the story, we'll have to visit each dragons place of origin in order to gain knowledge about the species to help the tamers and the dragons grow strong enough to take on Ogual. This means individual intel and possibly training and new skills for everyone lol
Lol no it's actually a great additional storyline for the plot.

Can I tell you all a secret?
Lol so many details I need to think about. I should really have had all this figured before but this is the first time I've actually put It all out in front of me on a site haha. You guys are going to help me grow this immensely.
We might be able to figure something out with it. It's an interesting concept before. Perhaps the monks at the lunate monastery, where the regeneration a dragons once dwelled and helped in the healin processes will help answer your questions about healing magic ^.^

(You just gave me a grand idea plot wise, and I think the human manipulation can be arranged :) )

Also since you were saying about magic being the manipulation of something you understand, could my character develop magical manipulation of bodies? First she would use it for healing purposes but then realise she could easily turn it towards combat?

That's a tricky question. I'll have to think about that.

On one hand, that could be considered very dark magick. To manipulate the very body of your enemy.

On the other hand, i can see what you mean with the healing and such, understanding the body. And it would make sense.

But I Donno, that's tricky. Lol, I'll think about it. But I don't know if that would be something that would be wise to get into as it would be an entire new level of magic. The regeneration dragon's scale rapidly regenerate and when ground up and are consumed by humans, assists and speeds the healing process, so even their magic isn't so much manipulating flesh.

Geez, now I have to do some brainstorming XD
The dragon size chart is a general idea so you can get a picture of how big they are. It varies between species of course, that chart would be the growth of a nightmare dragon. So for example. The silver dragon is longer than most, the green is a smaller dragon, the brown is larger. Just try and imagine different builds. For the green, or the pink, imaging a smaller dragon, perhaps a foot shorter and a shorter body. Or for the brown, picture a much bulkier dragon, bigger than the others of his own age. It would be difficult for me to get reference images for each breeds growth stages lol
The magic is drawn from the life source of the dragon. The only people who could ever use magic without a dragon are the ancient species of elves that have long since faded from existence. Using spells, will wear you out. First you'll feel tired, physically and mentally. If you overdo it further, you'll feel sick, fatigued and unwell for a few days. Even further, you'll collapse. Further, you'll risk injuring your mind and your ability to remember things. Once you've worn your body down to the point of collapse and memory loss, your next step is literally sucking the life out of your dragon and doing serious damage to the length and quality of your own life if you survive the intense spell.

The basic magicka you'll work on with Merrik once you've gotten to training will leave you tired. But he'll help your characters build up a tolerance, magical endurance in a way :)

Does that help?

P.s. The magic will be explained as we go through the training IC but as always, feel free to keep the questions coming :)
