When it comes to communicating her thoughts, however, she prefers to be coy. Dishonesty is abhorrent in her eyes. She conversates comfortably with strangers, allies and enemies alike, and finds it easy to read into people’s moods. Even though she maintains that she is staunchly independent, she does enjoy the company of others. Although, this is initially for the entertainment value, rather than true fellowship. For an adventurous free-spirit, she is surprisingly resolute, dedicating everything in her being to a cause if it agreed with her strong opinions. Cairene could be a warm and friendly person, if her sardonic laughter wasn’t almost always accompanied by an attempt to insult, rather than charm.Backstory:Whether it was the constant boredom that drove her, or the early tellings of a confident mind, as a child, Cairene was always getting up to mischief. Her feats were far from destructive, but she was a bane on her carers, nonetheless. If a cordoned area was found to have a door or window unlocked, and the dust on its floors disturbed, she was the usual suspect. Numerous times, staff or villagers searching for missing valuables sought out her known stockpiles before approaching the authorities. She left the orphanage as a haughty teen with a terrible reputation, narrowing her options to only two of the usual five. Being sound of body, she qualified for the jewel mines in the neighbouring valley, where the rocky outcroppings where hard to tell apart from the roaring surf and perpetual storms. In a show of premature grandeur, Cairene turned her nose up at the thought of hard labour, and selected the other, ‘softer’ approach.Regrets swarmed in by the dozen, and she was soon yearning for the damp caverns and razor-toothed caverns, having found more and more reasons to loathe men. She lived where she worked, in a poorly managed establishment renown for its lax approach to law enforcement, and morality overall. For three years, she tended to the whims and fancies of humanity’s underbelly, revisiting her old habits and gaining back some of her childhood notoriety. Cairene had learned that the stronger her influence was, the easier it became to pickpocket and steal from a client. When at last she had coveted enough gold and trinkets, she bribed her way onto a merchant ship and sailed towards a new lifestyle. For the next couple of years, she would grow to become an infamous thief, evading capture thanks to her careful target selections and strategy. Coincidentally, shortly after the reporting of a major theft, a substantial donation would find its way to the nearest chapel.Skills/Abilities:Chameleon - Cairene is a master of disguises, capable of altering her appearance in accordance with a particular role; adopting personality or cultural traits to blend into surroundings, or further enhance her physical guise. She can also apply these talents to hide herself using the surrounding terrain, camouflaging her person and dwelling so that they mimic aspects of it.Attunement - Sensitive to more wavelengths of sound than the average human, enabling her to detect movements; deduce its source and proximity to her. It allows her to more effectively control and mask the sounds of her own body; essentially, a tool for stealth.Diamond heart - For short periods of time, the skeletal cage surrounding her vital organs expands and hardens, forming a protective case. It can only withstand so many attacks before the bone-matter weakens and ultimately retracts into its original state. Her overall bone strength improves, as well, reducing the chances of breakage. There is a time limit moderating its duration and the periods needed between to recharge. Her pain threshold is raised, and although this is a secondary effect, it is the main reason she uses this skill.Twin daggers - In melee combat, she dual-wields these effectively to swiftly strike, stab and slash at an opponent. They are also her ideal weapon when moving stealthily to dispose of or disable the enemy. They're very right. The time of magic users has long passed with the fading of the high elves. Though there is magic in the lands, the ability to harness it has been long lost to all. However, the dragons are born with an instinct of magic, for it flows through their very veins, and through the bond, the tamers come to understand this ancient magic and slowly gain their ability to use this magic. Each tamer will gain a single unique magic based off the mana type of their dragon. This means you choose one ability of your dragons and covert it into a type of magic. :)

But I agree, that's a pretty amazing CS, just a not quite suited for the level of entry in this RP. Tweak it to standard and I'm more than happy to welcome you to Illos <3

No I'm sorry. No custom dragons. I've designed each breed to be a specific color with different backgrounds and traits which spawn from locations around Illos.

Note: I was asked about dragon communication, which I haven't touched on on my site. This will be added this weekend with the newly submitted character sheets. This was my description of communication between tamers an dragons.

Dragons speak only through thoughts. A dragon can speak to anyone via thoughts and can receive any thought directed at them. It is considered impolite for a person to speak to a dragon in thoughts if they are not bonded to them. So you'll find that Merrik's speaks to the other dragons in tongue almost all the time except for the odd personal confides, over time he'll stop doing It all together as they grow older and he gives up his responsibility to them.

Also, dragons and their tamers can have private conversations to each other by directing their thoughts to each other. This allows for privacy. Dragons only converse with their tamers to accommodate for the humans need to use language to communicate. Dragons can tell everything about their tamer's intentions and worries and joys just from emotion transfer in the bond.

My little crank, I'll have to post this weekend sometime. I'm terribly sorry, I've been trying to do homework and loiter on RPG all night and neither are very productive :| but I did read your post, and I'm so crazy about Lumen, I adore the breed you've created. I could have used your brain while creating my own dragon breeds for RotDT!
