Yeah, I realised after posting I should have used a more recent example haha. But the show basically revolved around the command staff trying to protect the station both from outside enemies and drama from within, which I think could work really well in an RP setting. Those other influences you mention are great too, though I actually haven't seen Dark Matter yet.
