Well that's just silly.

Athoriel - I see no problems with your CS as it is, but as always, Viridian makes the decision. Looks good to me though.

Is it bad that I had to google Spring Heel Jack because I only know of the one from the Elder Scrolls games?

For sake of information, and I'm sorry if any of you have mentioned it already, but Boop_Im_A_Dragon is your character new to Primrose or has he been there for awhile? The bio is just slightly ambiguous on that.

Blazion - I just noticed the "So far in the closet she's in Narnia" remark. Would that mean she's in denial about her sexuality or she's just so straight it hurts? Either way, this amuses me greatly.

EDIT: And for anyone still considering joining, we've got an uncontested spot for a tenant still open.

Thanks Veridian! I'm a bit busy today so at the latest I'll try and get a post up tomorrow night.A question though: Is this still the first day? I'm just trying to decide how to introduce Claire.

Your character has arrived or will arrive whenever you decided them to, there is no set "first day" Victor has been there for three days. I believe Gin was there for a week, and Yuen and Feli have just arrived this day. It'd be easiest to say we're in about the mid to late afternoon portion of the first day the RP has started on. You can easily have Claire just arrive, have been in her room, or anywhere between.

I basically want a little "screw you" for anyone that thinks he can be treated like any old vampire; that human blood has its benefits as well as its weaknesses.

Then you really shouldn't use a vampire. I'm going to say no on that, regeneration is limited to healing non-fatal *I.E. Cutting off the head, stabbing the heart, or massive damage that eviscerates the body* and can be nulled by fire or cauterization of the wounds, because at the moment, your character is simply too strong. He can regenerate minor wounds, and when empowered, can heal them at the blink of an eye, but he can be killed outside of fire/drowning by severing the head, puncturing the heart, or simply destroying the body with enough damage.

Work under the assumption that such massive regeneration power is not allowed, because it's way WAY too powerful, unless Viridian says otherwise.

There's a few options... staking him basically makes him as mortal as can be. Fire is a massive weakness, and one that exaggerates as he becomes stronger. I think I'm going to add in an inability to swim... he'll just sink like a rock. He's still quite sensitive to sunlight, though normal-strength sunbeams can't kill him.Space Ripper Stingy Eyes aren't normal... but on they are.

What I mean is that I really REALLY REALLY don't think there's any plausible way for him to survive staking in the heart, neither side of his race has immunity to that. It's one of the cornerstone ways to kill both a vampire and a human, there's no reason for him to suddenly be immune to it.

Also Dark Angel, goddammit.
My life has been a lie.

Perhaps instead a stake in the heart immediately killing him, it halts his regenerative ability until the stake is removed?

Even a full vamp dies from heart staking, albeit if you get them in the coffin. How does a half vamp survive it?
HOW DO I KILL YOU CRUISER?!

Yeah, no, we're good. This is certainly one of the most civil discussions I've had regarding hammering out the specifications of a character's abilities.

I feel there is never a good reason to argue with someone about character creation. It should always be an open discussion. :)

Vampire laser eyes you say?

THAT'S A F*CKING THING!?

And yick! All this vampire drama looks cray! I'm just gonna sit outta that one, though I extend my warmest(47 degrees farenheit) welcomes to all the people joining our monster party! Yay!

There is no vampire drama, Dead Cruiser and I are discussing his character, nothing more. It's a back and forth. As I've said before, my opinions are for helping you guys make interesting characters and improve your chances of getting accepted, so EVERYONE can have fun here, and no one feels like they're left out, too weak, or that someone else gets the spotlight too often. I think everyone's characters need flaws and weaknesses so that they're forced to rely on each other, which helps stimulate character interaction and interpersonal relationships, which Viridian has stated is the focus of this RP, not combat.

And I really REALLY hope Dead Cruiser doesn't feel that I'm attacking him or anything, that's not what I'm trying to do at all, so if it comes off as that, I apologize wholeheartedly. I'm just trying to keep things moving smoothly for everyone, and that means keeping ya'll rowdy kids on a level playing field.

Viridian gets final say in all things, and if she says "LET THE VAMPIRE SHOOT LASERS FROM HIS EYES!" then I'll accept that as well.

The minor argument before has been settled, and was nothing to worry about.

Spawnling: Shin's frenzies would be about what you'd imagine; he essentially loses his higher reasoning and enters a beastial state of "fight or flight," wherein he can only comprehend feeding and his own survival.

I love it.

I would rather have stronger regeneration than overall durability. Purely to stay truer to my inspirational sources. We could make him no more resilient than a normal person, but with extreme regenerative ability.

Hmm...well, the main thing I'm worried about is the regenerating limbs part. How about cauterization, any wounds that are burned shut or cauterized *possibly by acid as well, to give our villain a way to actually be threatening* will regenerate exceedingly slowly. That gives you the potential for being a tough opponent, but also for the enemy to learn from their mistakes and actively challenge you later on.
It's really just the regrowing limbs that throws me, the rest of it I'm fine with.

The charisma would be partly a strange, inhuman beauty, but I was also thing of granting him the power to dominate the minds of the weak-willed. Typical "vampire servant" stuff.

He's a half vampire, the dominating part throws me for a loop and it also has the potential for removing some challenge to a lot of situations. I'd say maybe he can influence particularly weak willed individuals at best. I personally don't like it but if it's something you REALLY want, I'll leave the final say to Viridian, I won't be upset by it if she allows it or anything. The inhuman beauty I'm totally fine with.
Stop. I understand being passionate about something, but there's no reason to have an argument in an RP forum. If you really want to argue, take it to Private Messages, this is not the place for it. The matter is dropped, on both sides. Don't bring it up again.

EDIT: Also, Shiinen gives her sincerest apologies for having to drop, she didn't want to, but life is unavoidable.
-Can command primarily nocturnal creatures, or creatures active during the night.
That works for me.

-For shapeshifting, he can assume the full or partial form (partial meaning claws, fangs, etc.) of animals that he can put under his command at any time (bats, wolves, spiders, etc.) , becoming a swarm if his mass requires it. Limited to night time.
Sounds good.

-Baseline strength and speed are only slightly above a very powerful human. He can empower himself to full vampiric levels by drinking blood, but abusing this can put him in a frenzy.
Looks good. I'm assuming he loses control and the ability to really think intelligently, making him susceptible to tricks when frenzying? Much like a beast?

-Regeneration remains superhuman, but can still be amplified. Baseline is recovering from a "mortal" wound in a few hours. Empowered is regrowing limbs in seconds.
Regrowing a limb in general seems too much, I'm good with the baseline and would prefer to have it where empowered is instead he regenerates major wounds *short of heart piercing and loss of limb* in seconds.
EDIT: Mm, here's another thought, since if he's in a blood frenzy, as the amount of blood he drinks increases, he's tougher to hurt anyway. Ignoring the regeneration *which he still has*, wounds are harder to inflict. It'd could be fun to put him in a situation where he knows he's going to get close to the edge of a frenzy if he keeps going, but he's gotta do it to survive, but doing so could push him to attack the one he's trying to protect anyway.

-Adding a weakness to and phobia of fire. Weaknesses manifest as powers are amplified by blood.
I love this one, the stronger he gets, the weaker he becomes to fire. Very good.

-Potentially adding vampiric stealth and charisma as empowered abilities.
Unnatural stealth to his movements seems fair, especially if his strength is indeed only a bit above a human's. Having him be more ambush than straight up brawler seems appropriate.
Charisma are you talking about physical attractiveness or his mannerisms, because if it's mannerisms, that's entirely up to how you RP and play him off. Something he says could easily trigger something about someone's past or they could simply not find that charismatic.

A strange physical beauty to him would be fine. That's not really a power or weakness, so I don't have any problems with it.
