Azathoth - Excluding that the horse wouldn't be allowed as Duo Myths don't really work, a joust between a hybrid and a mounted rider would still be unfair. The rider would have less stability and control over the steed, as well as being thrown off from a successful hit and falling farther. If you're interested in the Jousting team, choose a Hybrid type.

TheAllFather - Accepted. Be aware that weapons aren't allowed *short of the practice weapons in the Fencing Club* so the spear won't be carried around.

Iluvatar - Accepted, and sure you can meld into water. Obviously it would not be allowed during Swim Meets *cheatsy doodles*

Also, I have also noticed not a lot of classes have overlapped. I figured that would happen, but then a new idea hit me. However, I will gather your opinions on the matter before implementing such a change.

Would you prefer a more Eastern approach to the classrooms, in which the students are given a single room, and the teachers are cycled through. For example, Jack and Simon are both 18, and thus would be in Class 3A together. Whereas Brunhilde *being 19* would be in class 4A with any other 19 year olds in the area.
The potential for this is more overlap between characters and a little more streamlined system that'll make character interaction easier to find. The downside is that there won't be a customized schedule for your characters and there's potentially a matter of some players being in classes alone *Brunhilde at the moment is the only 19 year old, Gideon is the only 15 year old*
So, what do you think? I'd love to hear your opinions on the matter.

EDIT 2: Completlie - Accepted, but please remove the luck powers, it has a lot of potential for abuse. Plant acceleration is perfect, especially considering her affinity for nature, but the luck one seems out of place.

Far from it, I'm simplifying to a single myth, a more commonly used and popular one to avoid confusion. You are welcome to either follow such simplification, or find another RP that may be more suitable to your tastes.

Myth Academy (PG-13)

Welcome to Ouroboros Academy, a school based in Purgatory, a realm far removed from others. In here, thousands of species, beings, and beasts mingle in the giant city. You've probably read their myths, legends, and folklore. Rest assured they are real. In this RP, the focus will not be on battling some sinister force or saving the world. The focus will be on developing relationships and personal goals for your character through their year. If the goal is to be the best on the team, then that is what you'll shoot for. Find a passionate love of your life, break your rivals, become the best, or simply survive with your faltering grades, it is up to you to make a character we all become endeared to and root for. We're all in it together. Some basic rules first.

Rules

1) I'm a very on hands GM, so if something isn't clear or you have a question, just ask, and I'll try to answer as fast as possible. But also, if you have a suggestion or an idea, bring it up. I implement good ideas all the time.
2) There will be NO harassment of players. I REALLY doubt I need to worry about this, but arguments will be settled by executive decisions by me, and will be kept civil. I'm sure everyone will be friendly though.
3) Because last time we had a lot of skimming and ignoring of other players *most of which was unintentional and others intentional* I'm going to implement a system I've seen before. Above your post, simply put the names of the characters involved within your post. Like so:

While I would really prefer you guys all read each others wonderful posts and give them all the attention they deserve, I understand that sometimes it's just not an option or due to time constraints or various reasons, you just want to see if you're in a post and must react. This will help keep confusion to a minimum.

4) While I expect you all to be mature and I will not be filtering your language, keep it PG13. No explicitly sexual posts, and nothing incredibly offensive *torture, racial slurs, excessive violence* will be allowed.

5) HAVE FUN. As I said, I'm a very hands on GM, and I will be reading EVERY post. If you're not having fun, feeling left out, or have any problems, come to me. I'm very good at juggling multiple characters, and trust me, I have a lot of them. So if you're feeling lonely or struggling with a post, I'm happy to throw a character at you to help out, or help hash out a post. I put a lot of effort into my RPs, because I think you guys are worth the effort and I adore reading about your characters and how they handle situations. Never feel like your post is pointless, because it isn't, and I'll be reading it, even if I'm not directly involved in it.

Now that's over, here's the CS. I'll give specifics on each detail within the sheet itself.

Name:
Age: DESPITE what some races may be, you will be around 15-19, no exceptions. Your age will determine what class you are in. The list is below.
Gender: Male, Female. Other genders may be allowed, but send me a PM and ask before you take them, I need to know the context.
Species: Here's where things can be complicated. You can be any mythical, legendary, or folk-lore oriented beast, creature, entity, race, but YOU CANNOT choose very specific instances *meaning Hellhounds can't be Cerberus, Vampires can't be Dracula OR Alucard, yes I know about him, and so on and so forth* No demigods/gods/offsprings of gods. I will be checking up on your races with quick searches, so also don't deviate from the myth too much. That being said, feel free to take a twist on them. The example I always use is centaurs. Hybrids don't have to be half horse, they can be half tiger, half spider, half crocodile, etc. For sake of simplicity, no custom creatures please.

Restrictions
Werewolves: Silver burns your skin, and unless in wolf form, you are a regular human in all aspects.
Vampires: European Myth Version: Sun burns exposed skin, you need blood to survive, you are sterile, no reflections, garlic is beyond repulsive, and you must sleep in a coffin. No half vampires.
Demons: Imps and minor demons are allowed, you are not a descendant of Lucifer, you are not all powerful and wicked *wicked beings are not allowed in the school*
Angels: Similar to demons, cherubs and minor angels allowed only. You are not related to Michael, you are not all powerful and divine.
Appearance: A descriptive paragraph or an image works. Make sure it's accurate to whatever race you choose as well.
Personality: At least a paragraph of your general personality and character. Backstory may be included in here if you want, but you can also leave the backstory unspoken if you'd rather people discover it as they learn about your character in the RP.
Club/Sport: Limit one. Seriously, last time people had two or three each and it was a mess. There'll be a list of clubs in the information down below. Your sport also counts as your club, so if you're on the swim team, put Swim Team here. Unique and custom clubs/sports must be sent to me in a PM for approval. Sports and Clubs will always meet after the classes have finished for the day.

Classes

The order the classes are in is the order you will attend them. The Physical Education overlaps are sort of a large scale class. There is an hour lunch period after the third class. I say generally for the ages for simplification. If you want a character that has been held back a year or advanced forward a year, that is perfectly acceptable.

Personality: Simon is known as Cloudbrain by all who have met him. His air-headedness is legendary around the school. However, he is also known as a very sweet and nice boy who is always smiling, no matter what. Simon is kind-hearted and laid back, only focusing and becoming serious when it's a matter of Jousting or helping someone else. He dodges any and all questions about his home-life and family. He is frequently abused by Diana, his close friend and captain. Simon struggles in the academic classes, however he excels at physical sports and, oddly enough, the study of other species and their cultures. He has also shown an interest in the gardens and botany, having developed a reputation for falling asleep within the Gardens after his late night practices.
Club/Sport: Simon is one of the top lightweights on the Jousting Team.

Fiona - One of the senior members of the Gardening Club, Fiona the Dryad is known for being incredibly jumpy and timid. While not really shy, she tends to worry and over-analyze even the simplest of tasks to the point where she becomes a nervous wreck. The only exception is when she's gardening, where she shows an incredibly focus and aptitude. It is well known that she idolizes Nathalia. GARDENING

Leonardo - An albino minotaur of somewhat diminutive size *compared to other minotaurs*, Leonardo or Leo for short, is a young member of the gardening club. Known for being incredibly quiet and withdrawn, he isn't shy by any means. In fact, he tends to make others uncomfortable with his cold, deadpan stare. He seems to always be analyzing some great formula in his head, staring off into space. Questions are usually met with silent stares, though he does obey and respect the teacher's authority. GARDENING

Ahmose - An egyptian hawk harpy, Ahmose is incredibly popular with the girls around the school as a dreamboat. Incredibly fit, with dark skin and short black hair, Ahmose definitely fits the image of hunky, despite the sharp hawk talons for legs. His girlfriend, Cecilia, seems a perfect match for him. Ahmose is one of the top members of the Flying Team, and is on friendly terms with Gwendy. FLYING

Gwendy Hills - One of Miri's only friends. Despite the succubus's unruly habits, this elemental proves to be a non-judgemental, easy-going friend. Gwendy also happens to be the Captain of the Competitive Flying team. Her flame elemental form is surprisingly mature, despite her actual age being only 16. FLYING

Isaac -Isaac the Incubus goes against all the norms in that he seems to have absolute control over his own desires and sexual appetite. He indulges and flirts, but seems to do so out of personal amusement more than necessity. Not much is known about his personal life, he doesn't talk about it to anyone, even his partners. He comes off as incredibly suave and charismatic. Many girls in the school describe him as "Dreamy" and "Mysterious". He frequently wears skin tight clothing to show off his body, but never anything more revealing than a muscle shirt and jeans. He frequently toys with a silver ring on his left hand in the shape of a snake wrapping around itself. FLYING

Cecilia - The beautiful unicorn girlfriend of Ahmose, Cecilia's human form is that of a lithe, pale, blonde woman with a delicate pearly horn sprouting from her forehead. Polite to a fault, Cecilia keeps up an elegant appearance, but is well liked. Comes off as someone who would like to be a little more wild, but afraid of what others would think of her if she dared to act on it. ASTRONOMY

Katsu - Captain of the swim team, Katsu the Kappa seems to have an almost bipolar personality at times. Going from nice and laid back to military general in a flash, no one is ever sure whether or not what they'll say will trigger a laugh or anger. As such, Katsu is lacking in friends, and as such, is a very lonely individual. No one is comfortable around him and his mood swings. SWIMMING

Miriel - A mermaid on the swim team, Miriel is often refered to by others as "The Grand Bitchfish" due to her haughty attitude. Brought up in a wealthy family, she believes her family's financial status puts her above all others. While not in the top ranks of the swim team, she is still a very skilled swimmer. A natural, she lacks discipline, having a bit of a pampered lazy streak. However, in a tight situation, she has been known to show incredible determination and focus.SWIMMING

Scovian - A freshman who joined the Jousting Team, Scovian is a hybrid lion, and a big one at that. His ego and pride constantly get in his way, and he treats others like vassals. Not much else is known about him however, though he shows great promise as a defending jouster. JOUSTING

Diana: Captain of the Jousting Team, Diana is a large clydesdale centaur known for her no-nonsense attitude, vicious temper, and close relationship with Simon. Diana is well respected, if a little feared, by her team. JOUSTING

Furioskein -Head of the theater club and disguise artist extraordinaire, Furioskein or Furio for short is a doppleganger who shows remarkable skill for changing form, even by his own races standards. He enjoys pranking others by mimicking their appearance and accusing them of being a fraud, usually in such a flamboyant and ridiculous way that it's very clear who the true Furio is. He's harmless and fun loving, but seems to have problems keeping his attention on one thing at a time. He's often seen in incredibly garish outfits. THEATER

Eric Valthrom - A senior member of the Fencing Team, and a Cambion (AKA a half-demon). Eric is typically a man of few words, which is why he and Lailah get along so well. He has a natural talent for fencing and their sparring matches tend to be the most exciting on the team, often going off the book despite whatever rules or routine they are supposed to be following. FENCING

Getch -Handsome and suave are not how people would describe Getch. More frequently used words are "Ehhh" and "Uhhhh". A short, stocky orc with jutting fangs, Getch is awkward, stuttering, and...plain. He's not mean, but he's not exactly nice. He doesn't attract much attention, except when he's fencing. His skill with a sword is absolutely phenomenal, and has earned him the title of Captain of the Team. However, when the fencing gear goes off, Getch becomes a short, stuttering little green blob with an affinity for video games. He gets along GREAT with Karl Sedgewick, and the two frequently eat lunch together, talking for ages about some new video game or human convention they want to sneak into. FENCING

Harley Roselyn - Harley the Revenant is a vindictive and catty thing, whose ego decrees her next moves. That being said, her ego is mostly well deserved. An exceptional gymnast and superb fencer, Harley's arrogance is rarely misplaced. However, it's common knowledge that her fencing technique is positively vicious, borderline to the point of illegal maneuvers. She pulls wild stunts, often faking out opponents or toying with them until they get frustrated and make a slip. A fan of what she calls 'suicide lunges', Harley is incredibly aggressive in her matches, often forcing the opponent out of the lane and watching them stumble backwards under her brutal onslaught. Her main weakness, however, is that what she has in offense she lacks in defense. Surviving her onslaught, though difficult, leaves her open to counter attacks of all sorts. She often calls Getch "A bowl of pudgy pudding" behind his back, though he is unaware of this. FENCING

Sigurd -A fire giant, Sigurd isn't the brightest tool in the shed. In fact he's downright moronic. But his strength and flexibility make him the top wrestler on the team. As the captain, he's mostly a figurehead, as the coach makes all the decisions, however Sigurd does believe heavily in team spirit. As such, he's usually cheering the loudest for his team mates during the matches, trying to inspire them. WRESTLING

Gunnar - An Ispolin, Gunnar is a showboat to the extreme, drawing out wrestling matches far longer than needed and often feigning weakness to make a dramatic come back near the end. While not a terribly amazing wrestler in terms of technique, Gunnar's sheer size even by Giant standards and the fact that he practically lives in the weight room allows him to simply break opponents with his overpowering strength. He lacks technique and discipline though, using wrestling as a 'glorysport'. He doesn't care about the team, he cares about his image. And he's willing to do anything to maintain it. WRESTLING

Faculty

Grey: The Head of Ouroboros Academy, Grey is a very kind and wise individual. However, no one is sure what the Head exactly is, as Grey's appearance and gender depend entirely on the person looking at it. Some see a kindly old woman, others see a towering angelic man, and still others see a creature they would find in their homelands. Grey has been around since the opening of Ouroboros and the students are near and dear to it's heart. It wields it's authority carefully, but all within the Academy know that when Grey speaks, you listen.

Nathalia - The head of the Gardening club, Nathalia is a nymph who is exceedingly popular with the student body for her kind attitude and sense of humor. She takes her students safety very seriously, and treats them as if they were her own children.

Pamela Attenburg -
Supervising teacher for the Theater club, who is occasionally brought in as a substitute teacher for magic central classes. Happens to be an ex-soldier of magic, her usual hobby is knitting and lace making, she is also fond of children. Many students describe her as the Soldier Grandmother. Spider-hybrid.

Karl Sejwick
The eccentric Human Studies professor. Despite his dressed up, aristocratic appearances all day, every day, he is a renowned video game nerd and cosplayer, frequently dressing up as famous historical human figures during lessons. He is generally well liked by the students due to his nerdy outlook on life, but sometimes can come off as a little strange, even by vampire standards. Vampire

Dantus - Head of the Arcane Department, Dantus is a foul tempered, four armed lich of surprising proportions. Generally hated by the entire student body for his harsh treatment and enforcement of school rules, Dantus easily turns a bad situation into an embarassing nightmare of epic proportions for those under his gaze. That being said, there is no one who knows more about the arcane than the lich, and, strangely, he offers after class tutoring to students whose grades are suffering. All who have taken such sessions have found their grades increase astronomically, but refuse to talk about what the sessions entail, remaining in a strange type of shell shock for a week afterwards.

Helga - A Valkyrie, Helga is the Flying Team coach and one of the mythic studies teachers. She is a tough woman who believes firmly in mind over matter, pushing the team hard. She is fair, however, and seems to have a soft side for puppies. Despite her rather militant attitude, her students come first, and she has been known to bend the rules in their favor when given the opportunity, a habit that puts her at odds frequently with the straight-laced Dantus. There are rumors that she and Grey had a 'thing' once.

Wilhelm Wicki -Head of the Music Club, Wilhelm is known for his lax nature. He's often late to his classes and sometimes may not even show up at all. If one were to go looking for him, you'd mostly find him behind one of the buildings, having a smoke break or at the cafeteria, reading a book. It is well known that Mr Wicki had a particularly violent and bloody past in his early Wendigo stage. He has since now learnt to control himself, with years of practice and meditation. Although his temper has eased up a significant amount throughout his years, he's known for picking on certain students and favouring others. He's skilled in many forms of music: piano, violin, singing, trumpet, guitar, even the triangle!

Facilities

Gardens: The Ouroboros Gardens are a vast complex of greenhouses and flora from many different realms and worlds. Dominating the center is a gargantuan iridescent tree of purple bark and cyan leaves, known as the Tree of Dreams. Rumor is that if you sleep under the Tree, it will grant a single wish. Many students are seen sleeping among it's roots during finals. The many greenhouses are tended by the gardening club, with several reinforced and locked areas housing carnivorous and sentient plants.

Dormitories: The dorms are separated into two sections of three, male and female. Dorm rooms are catered to individual student needs, with larger species getting larger rooms and private bathrooms as needed. Roommates are done on a volunteer basis, with younger students being placed with older students who can assist them in acclimating.

Cafeteria: The cafeteria caters to ANY needs the student body has, to help avoid potential situations and health concerns. Any desires within reason can be met, a student simply has to make the request for the appropriate food. It is here that the more bestial appetites are satisfied as well, with donated blood available for vampiric students, and even the most exotic diets can be fulfilled.

Stadium: The stadium is a gargantuan marble colosseum complete with a full jousting ring, flying rings, a track, and an open field for football, soccer, baseball, or any number of other sports requiring large grassy areas. Next to it in a large building are the pools, three of them. One is about the size of four olympic pools pushed together, for larger species. The other is a regular olympic sized, this is used for the swim teams. The last is a much shallower pool, used for therapeutic and recreational purposes. The facilities are open to the students at any time, provided they don't interfere with team practices.

The Dhampirs also were known as not having bones and a jelly like body, dirty, no nails, a deep bruise on their back resembling a tail, alongside living a very short lifespan. Would you take those into account as well? A good writer/character will learn to overcome the weakness of the sun aspect, and use it to make someone more interesting because of it.

I'm sorry. But I've seen the myths and such bastardized enough to force certain limitations, especially when the same creature *like vampires* appears in multiple cultures with dramatic differences between them all. The myth I'll be using is the common European one. Vampires need blood to survive, they burn up in sunlight, they must sleep in coffins, garlic is repulsive, no reflections, can't breed. Plain and simple. I'm ignoring the inviting into houses and sleeping on gravesoil for convenience sake.

You won't, actually. Naiads didn't control the water, but they could become water. I should mention this isn't a super power RP. I'm aware some creatures have control over elements, but as young individuals, your control should be exceptionally limited and difficult to use *and no, you can't in a fit of anger, suddenly unleash hidden power from deep within your soul to cause devastation, this isn't that type of RP*

However, seeing the amount of interest that has developed in this, know that I am working on it and I will attempt to get it up after work tonight. I was too busy yesterday to do so.

Also, the more popular races will be limited to a specific myth. Vamps DIE in sunlight unless completely covered from head to toe, no Twilight vamps, no half vamp daywalkers, you are full vamp and all that the original myth entails. I'll give more details in the actual OOC when it's up.
