Whoa geez, I only forgot to check for what I thought was an hour or two and I've got so much to catch up on, lol. Um, I will try and read all this real quick and see what's going on with groups. Though I think right now Winnifired's still up for teaming with Rian and a couple others for a mission.

"The cockatrice one?" Winnifred looked to see who had asked, realizing it was the cleric she'd seen in the gym yesterday as well. Familiar faces everywhere, apparently. "Oh yeah, I saw that one too. Might be a good one to start with, eh? If you're thinking of taking it, I'll come along too, if you want. I'm a sniper, so I can probably do a number to it before it gets too closer at least." She paused for a moment, only to realize she was going on about all this without even introducing herself, and so added, "Oh right, I'm Winnifred by the way." She directed her introduction towards the others standing there as well as the cleric... girl? The cleric looked like a girl, anyway, but Winnifred felt like something was off. She didn't dwell on it too much, though.

Immediately after the end of her last class, Winnifred made her way to the special assignments board. She stood in front of it, a serious gaze on her face as she studied the assignments listed. In her first year she'd only done just enough to make to to a D Rank, and was determined to do better this time around, now that she wasn't a complete newbie at the academy this year. Still, she didn't want to take something that'd be too overwhelming when she was just getting back into the swing of things. On top of that, she'd need allies as well. Glancing around at the other students gathered in front of the board, she recognized a couple familiar faces. The boy and the girl who'd had that match in the gym the day before were already looking at the assignment list, from the looks of it. Winnifred figured it couldn't hurt to see what they had in mind, and approached them. "Hey, I saw you two in the gym the yesterday," she said, a friendly smile on her face in an attempt to make a good first impression. "So what kind of assignment are you guys looki..." About mid-sentence she noticed another boy was also standing by the two and realized it seemed as if they may have been in the middle of talking already. "Uhh, I mean, sorry to interrupt! Don't mind me!" Winnifred laughed a bit nervously.

I'll probably be off for a few more hours tonight so I won't be able to do much posting for a bit, but I'll try and at least keep up on reading the posts till I'm free. Oh, I'm in EST also, for figuring out timezones.

People began exiting the gym, and Winnifred realized both participants of the sparring match had each given her of sort of acknowledging look when they passed her, and Winnifred returned each look. As it seemed most of the people who'd gathered were already gone and the activity was dying down, she sighed and stood up from her seat. She gave a last glance to the only people remaining in the gym before turning back to the door. For the time being, she decided, she'd continue her walk for a while before she returned to her dorm. She kept an eye out while she was walking for the two other students who had sparred, as she was a bit curious as to how their match went and thought it might make for an interesting conversation, but she didn't spot them anywhere while she walked. She figured they must have gone back to their dorms or simply not be anywhere nearby.

Yeah, I'm cool with a skip too. And good night to... pretty much everyone heading off now, haha! I'll probably be sleeping soon too.

Winnifred gave out a hefty sigh and flopped over to her bed in her dorm room, surverying the room to make sure all of her belongings were in their proper places. Between the opening ceremony, double checking which class would be held where so she wouldn't get lost this year, and moving back into the dorms, she hadn't gotten much time yet today to relax. She let herself lay on the bed for a few more minutes before sitting up and pushing herself off the bed. She figured she needed a proper, casual walk to stretch her legs and she was bored anyway. Maybe there'd be something interesting going on elsewhere on school grounds. The first thought that entered her mind as she began walking was that perhaps there would be students having practice matches in the academy's gym already. She thought that'd at least be exciting to watch, and so she made that her destination. However, as Winnifred arrived and opened the door to look inside, she was just about immediately disappointed. From the looks of things, a much had indeed been going on, that was for sure. But it also looked like it had already finished up. Not only that, but of the two apparent participants - a boy and a girl who were already mid-conversation with a couple of others - the boy seemed in especially bad shape. The only response Winnifred gave as she observed was a quiet "Hmph," of intrigue. She hadn't expected other students to be getting into such intense matches right away, she at least thought'd it'd be a day or two. Winnifred suddenly realized she'd still been watching the whole time through the gym's doorway. After a brief internal debate as to whether she should leave or stick around, she decided she'd already walked all the way here and still didn't have much to do anyway just yet, so she stepped properly inside the gym and took a seat for the time being. Winnifred figured she'd at least wait a bit and see how things went, or at least see if any other matches started up.

lol, or maybe you could make a healer guy with an attitude who acts all "geez, you guys should be more careful, I shouldn't have to keep healing you all the time" or something. I dunno, I just got that mental image in my head and it was pretty funny.

Zombehs, I looked at the picture for your character and my response was basically "oh my goodness he's beautiful", haha.
