His eyes scrolled over to the purple-haired boy, then to the couple, before finally landing his eyes back to the book. Scrolling another page, he read:

Limbo is often described and visualized in both religious documents and popular media as a dark, dead-looking place often shrouded in grey mist. Some describe it as a desolate, abandoned city, others a forest of dead trees. Some see it as a massive dark cavern with nothing but literal red eyes scattered over all the place, watching all the lost souls travel through the empty place. Another description is that of nothing but pure wilderness, with souls finding a way to establish and advance their civilization, much like being stranded in a deserted island. The Church is unsure of its appearance, but one thing is for sure: Limbo is a way to torment in a mild and painless way by instilling fear rather than suffering.

Dendus flipped over to the next page, licking his lips a bit.

The length of time a soul spends in Limbo is unclear; some claim that the state of Limbo is eternal, other say that souls in such a state will be freed as the Day of Judgement comes. More say that the Limbo of the Fathers has already been disappeared and its souls raised to Heaven after Christ's crucifixion. Limbo also may be a temporary, one-year state that occurs before a soul has been moved to Heaven, where babies are grown further to at least fit within Paradise. It has been theorized that there are also supernatural beings that govern over Limbo like angels and demons, for the purpose of observing the state of souls within the realm, but their state at Judgement is unclear; whether they fade out from existence, become an angel, fall into eternal suffering in Hell, or become part of "New Jerusalem" is still to be confirmed.

He looked again at the three, then decided to do something: extend one of his Shadow Tendrils and tap the shoulders of the two in range as he tries to lose each other's attention.
Yay so Gehenna will be my main focus for now
I will wait for NarayanK to post before Isse and Anedine, though.

After seconds' worth of searching, Dendus has found a thick, gold-colored leather covered book within the shelves, with a stylized encircled cross inscribed upon it. Titled "The Realms of Abrahamic Religions, this could be what he may have been looking for. He grabbed it with her two hands, walked over to a table that was nearest to where there was people, a peculiar pair, and sat. He flipped over to the table of contents, where he began to take a glance:

Hmm... Alright, to start off. Let's see the chapters. Introduction to the Catholic Church, introduction to the Catholic Afterlife destinations, Heaven, Hell of the Damned, Purgatory, Paradise... Aha! Limbo! His eyes gazed down below that text. Introduction to Limbo, Limbo of the Fathers, Limbo of the Infants. Where should I start first? Well obviously, the introduction.

He turned the pages to the indicated page number, then began scrolling her finger along the text.

In Catholic theology, Limbo is an idea regarding those who die in Original Sin yet were in the friendship of God. This includes, but is not limited to, priests and prophets before Christ's crucifixion and unbaptized infants in stillbirth or death that are too young to have committed any sin yet has not been freed from ancestral sin. Due to heavy speculation about their state of being in the afterlife, theologians have proposed another place of where such people wander astray, neither in happiness nor suffering. Limbo is not considered part of the official Catholic doctrine, but this has been an important field of study for religious scholars.

He continued on, but stopped midway as he began to notice something.

The smell's stronger.

He spread his black and white wings slightly in surprise on the smell.

ehehehehe

Sure. Just pick the floor you'd think he'd be on. Would the school know he's really a female or no?

It depends on whether he confesses, gets an accident that reveals true gender, or remains male within the school. Boys' floor, maybe?

He took a glance around the garden. As expected, there's the usual shrubs and trees placed within, there's roses, dandelions, oaks, and the like. There were then the dining tables placed there, with one occupied by what seemed--emphasis on seemed-- to be a couple (Anedine and Isse) with contrasting hair colors, a small pond in the middle reflecting the blue skies and the nearby buildings, and of course, grass. Emerald-green grass.

Fancy.

Something on his coat's pocket then rang, a black, vintage-looking touchscreen cellphone. The ringtone was peculiar: a cheery old 40's song that seemed to play often in bars during that time, which transitioned to electronic music, something that seemed to have the feel of the past, present and future. He answered, upon which the voice of a man in his 40's spoke, although sounded mumbled from those outside. It seemed to be a talk on some sport or something.

"...Well dang." Dendus grunted. "Stuff like that really grinds my gears.... Mmhm.... Just past by one point!? This sucks."

As the call ended, he spread both of his wings far and wide, sniffing more and more. Athalia's good and all. Might need to check out what's happening over there though. She continued to try and find where the sense came from as she went through the hallways, but due to how big Athalia was, she eventually gave up... and ended up in the bookstore, trying to find a theological book.
