Having a glance on those berries Jeff's stomach rumbled for a moment reminding him it been a pretty decent while since he last ate. Almost instinctively, he reached for the group of berries and ate some before grabbing the rest of the pile to keep in one of his pockets. Given two of the hyenas were dead now anyways so its not like they would be needed the food as much or at least that's what Jeff told himself to make himself feel better about the whole ordeal.

After leaving the hut Jeff scanned the area one last time to make sure nothing else of interest was around and then decided to head out. At this point, Jeff was really hoping that perhaps he could find way to other humans. Friendly, or at the very least neutral ones perhaps, but with little idea where to head Jeff decided to pick a random direction and stick with it, being that said direction didn't backtrack him to the gorge.
With the last Hyena darting off in the distance, Jeff started to calm down a bit and finally let his guard down. He felt surprised that the situation went as well as it did, given the Hyena's didn't seem to be the smartest creatures, but still he wasn't expecting his plan to go as well as it did.

This left another question though, should he good into this danger sense of a village or find another way around? Jeff felt that were was probably gonna be more of these creatures and that there most likely would come back seeking vengeance after that whole fiasco. Truth be told he actually never intended to kill either of those two, more so just scare them off.

After considering the options for a moment, Jeff decided to peek into the village cautiously and if anything gave the vibe of him being jumped he would turn tale and try a different pathway.
Jeff's eyes widened showing how surprised he was that the move actually worked; he really didn't expect him to have the strength to pull off something like that so effectively. It made Jeff think back to when him and Dacer use to spar back and forth on occasion when they were younger, but things usually turned out with Dacer as the victor there. At the very least tho, it seemed though past experiences were to be paying off just a little. Though looking back at Dacer's recently revealed powers it was clear he never really even put any effort on said fights.

Either way now wasn't the time to be thinking back on that, specially seeing how the two other Hyenas were trying for the KILLING blow.
Jeff rolled off to the side using the wind to blast up more dirt into the air once more, hoping that the dirt would keep the two blinded long enough that they might crash into one another; thus giving Jeff a chance to ready another proper attack.

At the very least that's how he played the situation out in his head.
"Oh shit... I guess you are home!!" Jeff yelled in panic as the three beasts rushed towards him. He knew it would be pointless to run against something like this so he decided he would stand his ground for now. Well... at least until he found an opening to escape.

'okay this is a 3 on one so I need to think of something and fast... perhaps...'

The newly wind awakened inventor quickly flung both of his arms down towards the ground in attempt to use the wind to launch a bunch of dirt into the air towards the hyenas and to hopefully cloud the vision of his would be attackers. He then went to kick the first one in the face hoping the blast of dirt would be enough to throw the Hyena off long enough.

"I don't wish to fight you all, but I will if you make me!" He didn't hold much hope for the creatures knowing English, but figured it be worth a shot
"Well I guess I wasn't expecting much better of a landing" Jeff said to himself though he was pretty sure nobody could hear it due to his face being planted face first into the ground from this greatest of all landings. Jeff took a minute to free his head from the ground and well practicing a tiny bit with his wind powers by blowing some of the dirt off of himself before taking note of the huts that were up ahead.

Were these home to people perhaps? Maybe Choofa? well he was apparently out of the gorge now so he wasn't entirely expecting those creatures, but at this point he was prepared for it to be possibly nonhuman.

"Hellooooooo. Anyone home?!" Jeff called out towards the huts as he started to make his way towards them. He continued to play or well practice with his wind powers a bit as he made his way forward attempting to get a small breeze of wind to spin around his hand.
"Oh god...", The inventor said as thoughts of more of those spiders and the armies of rogue choofa filled his mind, he really didn't want to have to deal with that while climbing a mountain.

"I can't believe I'm saying this but your right... lets do this.." Jeff said standing up and preparing to be launched skyward.

At least this time perhaps his newly unlocked wind powers could be of use to make a safe landing.
"Um...", Jeff started to say, feeling very quite so hesitant to this idea specially with the large amount of 'reassurance' that was given here. "Are you sure this is the only way out?"

To be fair, even if Jeff was properly reassured here, the fact this was the exact way he almost died before left him feeling quite paranoid about taking the exact same approach to leaving this place.
"Thank you Chief" Jeff said back in response as he went and aimed his hand upwards to see if the wind would react to it, and to his surprise it did. It only sent out a decent blast of wind that wasn't really strong enough to do anything but shake a few leaves but it was definitely a start and it excited him.

"Sweet." Jeff couldn't help but chuckle a little before taking the stone from the chief and taking a moment to examine it more closely. Jeff could feel the power resonating from the crystal and felt it would for sure be something to save as a last resort. Perhaps something for if he ever encountered that mask man again, which he was sure would happen eventually.

Jeff then started to follow the chief once more and headed out away from the gorge and it's dangers. "I feel like now I can actually start making progress to better myself."
Jeff fell back feeling the fatigue as the Grand Choofa was launched off of his head leaving Jeff very much confused.

"What the... are you okay?" Jeff asked as he sat down on the ground for a moment trying to recover from whatever the Chief just did.
"Even so" Jeff responded back, "If I don't start somewhere I'll never even have a chance. Even if its not against the mask man, I'd like to be able to prevent situations like this from happen again or at least do my part in helping stop them."

Jeff then got down on his knees pretty much ready to beg. "Oh great chief, if you could help train me in the ways to using his power, I would extremely grateful and forever in your debt."
