Jeff didn't take too kindly to the joke Oz had presented to him and took a moment to mumble various words to himself about how he was just lucky that the apocalypse was a valid reason to practically get unlimited funding from Techmo with the added ocasional swear.
The sage then took a moment to ponder the "hint" that Geode left him. Overall between that and the fact he kept pretty good tabs on all the training sessions everyone went through, Jeff was able to form another hypothosis on what happened though descided to keep it to himself in order to respect Oz's privacy. "Well as long as he doesn't go and try to stab us in the back, he can do what he wants" Jeff said acting to shrug off the entire thing now without much worry. "Let's just proceed without him for now then. If he shows up again, I'll fill him in on any details.

At the very least, Oz's words on this relieved his gut feeling and allowed him to return his focus onto more important things.

Jeff initially remained silent at first as everyone talked still contemplating the meaning behind yesterdays attack and overall purpose behind it. While in the end it was there victory, he couldnt help but wonder if perhaps it was merely ment to try and make them lose hope once again if not to downright kill him and Bruce while rubbing Dacer in there faces once more.
While recovering the day before the sage spent the time analizing the recordings Blup and his nanobots recorded of his and Bruces fight while having his robots and his scientist team help him develop counters for a next encounter and those ideas still kept constant cycle through his mind.
Jeff however was brought back to reality upon the question of Geode's location being brought up and thus proceeded to bring up a hologram of the entire guildhall into the center of the table.
"Yeah your right.. that's kinda weird.." The worries scientist spoke as he scanned through all of the rooms with no real result showing up on his location.
"Blup, your not picking up anything either right?" he then asked the blue blob that rested on his sholder as an uneasy feeling sloqly began to settle in his gut. He wanted to think otherwise, but perhaps this was the real reason of the attack all along.

As Zelraine turned to the wind sage he struck down earlier, to his surprise would see the being slowly standing while giving the wounded speedster one of the most intense death stares he had ever given anyone in his life. It was clear that the pain was still having his an a dangerous effect on him, but he was tired of just standing by while Bruce pulled all the weight. At this point both of his arm cannons were pulsing blue constantly with arcane energy as they expanded greatly and both were pointed at Zelraine, ready to fire.

"You better listen to Bruce there cause I promise, even with you speed and her rifts, this next shot WON'T miss." The sage roared as the wind made the words echo throughout the entire arena constantly. It was clear Jeff was done with games and whatever he had planned was his best shot. And if Zelraine would try anymore hostile movements towards them, even it was a simple flinch, Jeff was ready to fire, no hesitation.

The nanobots continued to release static pulses in a cycling state of half anf half until Zelraine finally was able to fling them off of him. Under normal cirumstances the loss of these would bother the tech reliant sage, but at this point he obviously had other problems that needed to be accessed, such at the constant pain that cycled consistantly through his body. The sage fought long and hard doing his best to remain concious due to the fact that losing it would leave Bruce without his wind board to aid him against this speedy foe. Despite his efforts he couldn't do much else at the current moment but fight the pain and hold it off while his current plan went into play. And while to the naked eye it seemed like he was merely out of the fight, the sage was constantly inputing single word thought commands to the nanobots that were in his blood stream and clothing, having both take position in key spots while waiting for the right moment.

That speed, Jeff for one could say in that situation he didn't expect that speed and for him to use other means to strike, and to do so so precisely. It might have been too fast for Jeff to react to entirely, but to say he was out if options would be a bold faced lie. As the punch made contact, Jeff did his best to let his visor take the primary impact of the blow, allowing the nanobots that made up the visor to latch onto Zelraine's hand, with the bots being primarily uneffected as they did not feel the pain that pulsed through Jeff's body. The sage however was unable to stop the unimaginable pain that spread everywhere through his soul as his body landed in a thud against the ground. The pain itself made it impossible to move his bodying willingly and nearly impossible to think through the constant pulses of pain that echoed throughout those never ending seconds yet through the entireity of it, Jeff did his best to muster up one final action. It took all his willpower but before losing all mobilty the scientist was able to mutter one word.

"Zap"

And with that, the nanos that clinged to Zelraine's hand released a paralyzing discharge which in most cases would bring most beings to a downright halt. Though in his case it would most likely not stop him, but the constant discharge would at least give Bruce a fighting chance as it would prevent him from moving his max speed.

After taking the hit, the wounded wind sage took a moment to make his nanoshield return to its regular form before applying a group of them over his wounded spot in order to have them seal up the wound while acting as a bandage. It wasn't the most painless of processes, but in this situation it was all he got. While in the process of doing so he also let the wind around him spiral a bit before forming 3 more mirages of himself which then prepared to charge at Zelraine using full speed with a wind blade in hand hoping he might be able to close in the distance before the bastard was able to fully recover his sight. He made sure to keep an eye for any rifts that were to appear this time in order to not be caught off guard like he was just moments ago.

To put it bluntly, Jeff was caught off guard completely by his attack being warped behind him and barely had any time to react thus because of it. Even moving at full speed the hit managed to graze his side leaving his side dripping with blood and Jeff holding his side with pain. "Damn it... Now we need to keep an eye on this kind of shit too?"

The wind sage grunted to himself as his attack barely missed it's target, though the fact they were able to get hold of some of there weird mask fabric made up for it in his mind. Not being one to let this go to waste Jeff immediately fired off his left wind cannon's sniper shot at Zelraine while he continued to make his recovery while letting his right gauntlet retract the chain and placing the fabric gotten into his pocket to study late. "You really are amazingly fast though.. heh..." The sage muttered to himself, feeling a tad jealous.

Jeff let out a huge sigh of relief as Rajaka was forced out of the arena and Bruce's plan came to be a success, if not he was ready to counteract Zelraine who he sensed with the wind warping behind him in attempt to use him as a human shield. Instead he turned around and immediately fired off his flashbomb point blank into Zelraine's face making sure to have his nanovisor take form to block the light for himself like he did back before with his battle against Mikey. He would then attempt to launch one of his grapple gauntlets out to grab hold of the quickster by his face, making use of the wind to aim accordingly to sense and predict any movement he would try to do in order to escape. 'You might be faster then me, but the your movements through the air gives me a good idea where you plan to go... I can see that much clearly'

Jeff kept Bruce's wind board blasting back away from Rajaka ready to go full speed away from Rajaka's attack the second its direction was made clear. The wind sage too also decided to play it safe for the moment and boosted himself to the other end of the arena and formed two nanoshields by himself while once again recharging his wind cannons. At this point the constant quick recharges of the cannons were starting to tire out Jeff a little but he wasn't out of options yet. He just needed to wait for an opening after this attack with his main focus being on keeping both him and Bruce safe and alive.
