The world has changed. A few years ago, on a day forever known to survivors as "The Final Judgement of Humankind", all but less than 1% of the human population of earth died. No one quite knows why it happened, some think aliens, others think a mysterious disease, and others think of it as an act of god. In the years since human's mark on the world had fallen into disarray. Mother Nature claimed what was rightfully hers, cities became overgrown and the wildlife that once lived there reclaimed their spaces, humans were back in the food chain, falling prey to the predators that were once regarded as harmless. Looting still runs rampant in cities, becoming routine. Murder is just another way to survive. What happens to the survival of the species still remains to be seen.

He is vey quick to the draw, using a 38. to scare off people who attempt to attack him or in some cases, predators.
Unsure of most but a soft spot for kids out there. God knows children shouldn't have to live in such a bad environment.
Keep to himself only-speak-to-if-spoken-to kind of person, unless speaking first could help out a lot.
History: Living a quiet life with his wife and son Julia and Max he was a very good father in his own mind. He worked his job spent time with his family and kept everything up for his son to have a good life and mom to properly raise her son while dad was out working. He was out one day whenever the sudden growth happened, raced home to find his family huddled in a corner. He was one of the people to help begin rebuilding a bit. He and a few other people got together some tools and built a wall. Samuel governed the town, going out on scavenger trips to get food for the town. It all worked for a year or so, people came and went defenses grew stronger and better. But one day he returned to see raiders had arrived and attacked the town. Killing most of the townspeople, including his wife and son. He and a few of the townspeople grabbed a map and with knowledge they had heard about New York being a safe haven, they began a track from Las Vegas Nevada to New York (New York New York?) New York. It was a long trip. A month had passed and they were somewhere in South Dakota. Supplies dwindling the group couldn't make it much longer. A pack of wolves arrived, killing some of the people in the group. Using the last of his bullets he killed two of the wolves and scared the rest off. Using the meat from the wolves they continued on, another month went by and they were really picking up pace when they arrived...Not the safe haven they hoped for, the others in the group disbanded losing hope. Samuel or Sam stayed in the city living out whatever days he had left. He would live out his days until the present day, a kit for climbing, a week of rations, and an empty gun. All he though about then was how he used to have a town until some damn raiders ran in and killed everybody. And now he lived in a run down place full of murder and other things.
Appearance: Short black hair, a five-o-clock shadow, usually wearing a T-shirt and jeans. A big old backpack he takes everywhere on his back. Well built do to a few years of carrying things, running, and the like. 6ft5in. Blue eyes and white skin.

Equipment: Old machete for clearing away the brush, some rations in case they are desperately needed, a few books in order to stave away boredom (Though even the books are getting boring at this point), a few copies a feminist zine, a dangerously close to empty bottle of green hair dye, and a CD of an old punk band she used to listen to (Though it's doubtful she'll ever listen to it again) carried all in a satchel with various buttons stuck all over it.
Personality: Brash and blunt, not one to keep to herself and always one to speak her mind.
History: Born and raised in New York, Natalie's child years were pretty tame with nothing really of note, though she did Noe when she was growing up. During her teenage years she got into punk rock, more specifically the feminist punk scene. When she moved out of her parents house she spent time with some punk bands, travelling and writing articles for zines that were handed out at shows. She was back in New York when the disaster struck, having been lucky enough to find Noe alive in the chaos of the first months they decided to travel together, though mostly just scavenging in New York without trying to get out of the city. They've heard rumors of other cities in better condition but they'd rather not risk it.

History: Noe was born in Britain and his family moved to New York when he was very little. He lived in the same neighborhood as Natalie did and they were friends from a young age. He was a boy scout when he was a kid but it never really interested him all that much. He went to college but dropped out after a year because he just didn't feel it all that necessary. When disaster struck he was lucky enough to just be coming back from college and he found Natalie. They've mostly just been scavenging what they can from the ruins of New York ever since.

Equipment: Azrael's main weapon of choice is a matte black Remington ACR equipped with a variable zoom scope. However, with the state the world is in right now ammunition is increasingly hard to come by and although Azrael has enough in his bag to last him a good while he knows he will soon run out. Thus, he carries a Machete around with him too for when the inevtiable does happen. Plus it's a much better close quarters weapon too. Azrael carries all of his supplies that he can scavenge in a satchel bag.
Personality: Azrael is very independent, relying on nobody but himself to survive. He knows that in the overgrown wasteland the world has turned to that this is the best way to be and the best way to stay alive. He rarely lets his guard down to anyone, only to those who earn his trust and earning his trust isn't exactly easy. He can be somewhat over protective with people he cares for though, often putting himself in the line of danger to protect them. Azrael is a fairly calm and intelligent person and is very good at making quick decisions on the spot. He also handles pressure very well as a result.
Other: Azrael is a talented mechanic.

Equipment: A good sturdy knife, snare wire, and a water "bottle" made of a treated deer stomach, as well as a very simple and primitive blow-dart and some homemade darts made of sharpened twigs. One last thing. A mask. It's dyed a few reds and blues and greens, narrow with a long face and bulging angry eyes, with "hair" hanging down the back made of various animal skins sewn together. It's partially an intimidation tactic, partially a superstition/good luck object and partially to avoid being recognized by "bad guys".
Personality: Defensive, self-conscious, sometimes unnervingly quiet, observant. Prefers showing over telling. Very superstitious, believes in spirits that want appeasement. She is the stealthy type, a hider, and does not enjoy confrontation, but she has staked out a little "territory" as her own, in which all the food is "hers". She'll probably warn someone to get out before she moves to physical action.
History: Her mother died shortly after giving birth to her, and her father even before that. Unusually, she was raised by her grandparents, who told her about spirits and firmly believed that the apocalypse happened because the spirits became sick of Mankind's hubris; they convened and struck to force humans back into the normal web of life. When they inevitably died, she built them a pyre, burned them and moved on to where she is now: wearing ash on her skin to keep the bugs off and the animals from smelling her, living in the second floor of a broken-down building and using a hole in the ceiling to vent out the smoke from her fire. Anyone in her general range might find animal organs tied to branches and things, usually as homage to the spirits. She's painted animals and humans and animal-human mixes with charcoals on the yellowing walls, and added color with crushed-up clay and flower/berry dyes.
Other: She's swift and agile, and good at camouflage. She'd use her wits in a fight, because she is not very physically strong.

History: Kimberly was a normal teen before the green happend, she had a okay family life with her mother and little brother, they surived in a group of other from the same apartment building she lived in, that until her home was raided and the much stronger men who raided took her, her brother gavin and her mother captive in exchange for not killing the rest of the group she was in. alot of bad things happend to Kim over that time, she lost her mother and brother but was kept, until one day when everyones guard was down, she killed them in their sleep and just started walking.
Other: has multiple scars over her back and legs from when she was a captive, but she does not talk about what happened to her.

Personality: Arryn is fun and bubbly, but she can be wickedly sarcastic and distrustful. She has a temper for sure and will not hesitate to kick some ass if provoked.
History: (Optional) Arryn was in the city studying to get a degree when the day came. The day where people just stopped existing. When phones went off the grid and lights shut out. She never really left the city after it happened, just assuming her parents probably were dead already. Since then she'd been sheltering herself, scavenging and hunting whenever she can.

She has yet to eat a child; they're important to there being a future, and she doesn't want to be the one to prevent that. She feeds any children she sees, and ones that are alone, she takes to people who can take care of them...unless their sanity is questionable.
