Noe smiled at the small woman who had appeared. "I haven't had any alcohol in over a year, I thought it was all gone. I think we're going to get along." He says with a small laugh as Natalie just rolls her eyes dismissively.

Then they heard the words, Friend or foe? Natalie turned quickly to face the voice, her eyes widened as she saw the heavy fire power he happened to have, he must have raided an army surplus store or something, she thought to herself. "We're friends, we're not going to hurt anyone just don't do anything rash." She said, panic seemed to enter her voice, she hadn't seen people in months and now this. All she hopes is that this guy was also a friend because she did not want anything to happen like the last time she met someone carrying assault weapons.
Noe and Natalie were about to say something when they were distracted by all the commotion that had just erupted. "Listen, we were just scavenging for food, and this dumbass really needed cigarettes so we came in here to look for those things." Natalie said as Noe put his bat on the ground.
"We're not trying to harm anyone, so if we could all just chill out and talk this over I think it would be beneficiary of all involved..." Noe said, a hint of fear in his voice. "Also, if you have any cigarettes it would be greatly appreciated."
Accepted
Noe heard a click and looked towards the source of the noise but he got distracted by the voice and turned his head towards him his baseball bat at the ready. After realizing they were in no danger he rested it on the back of his neck, holding it with one hand. "Hey." He said with a smile and a wave. He hadn't seen anyone other than Natalie in months, and their last encounter hadn't been one they'd wish to repeat.
The two made their way towards the man. "I swear to god if he tries to kill us I'll kill you before he gets the chance. You know what happened last time" Natalie whispered to Noe.
"I'm sure we'll be fine, I promise you." Noe said as they got closer to the man.
Natalie was the first to speak directly toward him. "Hey, I'm Natalie and this a friend of mine, Noe, pleased to make your acquaintance." She said as she held out a hand to be shaken.
Hey, sorry if this is the wrong place or something, if it is let me know or just delete it. Anyway I just posted in a thread (This one to be exact) and when I check the thread I do see that my post is there, however the thread has not been bumped up nor does it show me as the newest poster. Though it does show that there are 6 posts in IC and not 5. I'm not sure why this is but any help would be greatly appreciated.
"All this is shit, I mean we can get real fruit, why do we need canned stuff?" Natalie said, annoyed looking at the small selection of food actually there. Noe finished his cigarette and went to the window, tossing it out so it hits the ground, tiny sparks flying out.
"Well if you're not going to take anything I'll take some instant coffee then we can get out of here." Noe says as he opens his green backpack and puts a few packets of instant coffee in it, his baseball bat propped up against the shelf in front of him.
"We don't even have anything to boil water with." Natalie says as she stand up, starting to get less annoyed to get out of the place.
"I'm sure we can find something, we'll just go into an apartment or something, take a pot and mugs or whatever, go out and light a fire and have coffee." Noe says with a smile on his face.
"Do whatever you want, I don't even drink that shit, you have to keep the brain clear from the stuff that changes it." Natalie says as she makes her way out of the store.
"Suit yourself." Noe says as he picks up his baseball bat and slings the backpack back over his shoulder, following closely after her.
As Noe and Natalie got closer to the store they both saw the shattered glass on all the windows. "Shit..." Noe said is disappointment, "Someone's already been there..."
Natalie turned to look at him, annoyed, "Well you had to expect it, a store that sells all the essentials is going to be the first to get looted."
The two continued their way towards it, as the got right in front of it Noe used his baseball bat the clear what little glass was still there and went in through the large window, Natalie following afterwards. Noe made his way behind the counter, looking up to see if there was still any packs of cigarettes left. "There's none left." He said as Natalie rummaged through the rest of the store, hoping to find some sort of canned food still there.
"Well what exactly do you want me to do about it?" She asks him as she continues her search.
Noe takes a cigarette out of the nearly empty package and pick up a lighter from in front of the counter. He flicks it and lights the cigarette before taking a long draw and blowing the smoke into the air. "I don't know, do you have any idea where I could find any more?"
"How would I know? You know I don't do any kind of drugs." Natalie says, getting visibly angry at Noe.
"Alright fine, just chill, I'm sure I can find some soon." He says as he takes another long draw from his cigarette.
The IC is officially up.

The world has changed. A few years ago, on a day forever known to survivors as "The Final Judgement of Humankind", all but less than 1% of the human population of earth died. No one quite knows why it happened, some think aliens, others think a mysterious disease, and others think of it as an act of god. In the years since human's mark on the world had fallen into disarray. Mother Nature claimed what was rightfully hers, cities became overgrown and the wildlife that once lived there reclaimed their spaces, humans were back in the food chain, falling prey to the predators that were once regarded as harmless. Looting still runs rampant in cities, becoming routine. Murder is just another way to survive. What happens to the survival of the species still remains to be seen.

Two people walk down a seemingly deserted street, quietly talking to each other. One of them, a woman with long black hair that had been died green. She has carries a bag over her shoulder and a machete in her hand. Every once in a while she swings it to clear away the brush. The other, a man with short blonde hair mostly covered by a baseball cap, over one shoulder is a green backpack, and in the opposite hand he holds a baseball bat. He has a lit cigarette in his mouth, drawing a puff every once in a while between sentences. "You know Nat, I think there might be a convenience store up ahead." He says to the woman known as Natalie.
"I don't think there's really anything we can find there worth our time Noe." Natalie says as she weaves her way around an abandoned car in the street.
"There could be food..." Noe takes a pause to draw from his cigarette. "Or smokes..."
"Fine," Natalie says in reply, visibly annoyed. "We're in and out in five minutes."
The two continue to trudge along the overgrown street, until finding themselves in the sight line of the store. Noe smiles goofily at Natalie after taking one last puff from the cigarette and tossing it to the ground, hoping for some sort of reaction from her as they find themselves getting closer to the store.
Yeah, that should work.

I'm going to start writing up the first IC post now so like, get ready, or whatever.
