Amira was awoken by the sound of the announcement. She rubbed her eyes and yawned as she got up from the floor, she had never really had a bed but she didn't mind it at all. She took a quick glance at the tasks that she would be required to do today. 'Nothing out of the ordinary' she thought the herself as she looked in a mirror, her multicolored hair was all over the place and she had forgotten to wash her face paint off the night before, leaving it smudged all over her face. As much as the paint was a part of her culture, it sure was a pain to work with. She picked up a brush and began putting her hair into a presentable way, she knew by the end of the day it would be covered in soot and messy again but she didn't care, she liked the way it looked when brushed. She washed the remnants of the face paint from yesterday before quickly applying it back on cleanly. She'd done it so many times that it was second nature to her now. She smiled at herself before walking out of the room she was living in, she decided to head down to the engine room first, it was a place that she'd always liked being in. She walking with a spring in her step, giddy to start the day.

Name: Amira Solari
Age: 26
Race: Human
Personality: Fun-loving and friendly, quick to joke and not one that would take things very seriously. Very energetic with what one might call a "bubbly" personality. A bit out of the ordinary for a "rugged" pirate.
Job: Engineer
Bio: Amira was born in a poor area of an off-world colony. Most of her early life was spent looking up into the stars wondering what they had in store for her. Unlike most girls her age, the walls of her room were lined with posters of spaceships and intergalactic photographs. She'd always dream of becoming a captain, though she knew that most people from her colony would never have the chance to be well regarded captain like any of her idols. After graduating High School she immediately left the colony to try to find some work on Earth. Life was tough and her poverty continued as she worked as an engineer on a small cargo ship making travels between Earth and it's various trading partners. On one journey however, her life made a change for the better. During a routine shipment between Earth and the Saurion homeworld her ship was commandeered by pirates. When she saw the efforts of the crew of the pirate spacecraft she then knew what she wanted to do. She promptly quit her low-paying job and has been working in pirate crews ever since. As they say, "Yo ho, a pirate's life for me"

I hope that's okay, if there's anything that needs changing just let me know.

I guess that I could say this is my theme song. I dunno, I just connect with it a lot. I just heard it recently, I've always liked folk punk and I've been interested in getting into Against Me! for a while, especially after their latest album was a queercore album. To me this is the best song on the album and it's just a song I really connect with a lot.
I'd love the Space Pirates idea, I've been thinking of making a sorta Space Fantasy RP for a while but I could never think of a way to do it. But the idea sounds great to me.

I like Against Me! a lot. I mean it might be a bit biased because they've recently made a Queercore album and I love Queercore music, but this is honestly a great song. Laura is a great vocalist and puts a lot of emotion in her voice in this version of the song. And I'm a sucker for acoustic renditions of songs.
The Gaslight Cafe was a very popular cafe in New York in the 1960s, it was one of the first performing places of Bob Dylan and Dave Van Ronk, one of the premier hang-outs for the the music and art loving crowd of Greenwich Village. Basically this is an RP set in the Cafe and surrounding area of Greenwich Village (Basically the very arty and bohemian area of Manhatten) in the 1960s (Not any specific year, just a general theme). If you're interested just let me know.

I'm honestly not that big a fan of Animal Collective, I think they're good but a little overrated. However I do think that their acoustic work is some of the best work they've put out, Sung Tongs and Campfire Songs are both great albums. This is my first time listening to Prospect Hummer and I think it's also fantastic. A great EP to accompany the other acoustic based albums.
I don't think people should protest his funeral. The whole reason the WBC does what they do is to get attention. They think everyone is going to hell including them so they want everyone to know about it, and the only way they can is by being horrible people. If people were to protest Fred Phelps' funeral it would get them even more attention and add fuel to the fire. There is no way to go about it that won't make everything worse than it already is.
Well right now I guess the thing that's bothering me is my own envy of talented people. There's so many things out there (Specifically artistic endeavors) that I know for a fact I'm not able to do, however I really want to do them. Blech, I don't even know what I'm saying.

I was on Pitchfork earlier and saw them link to a bunch of dances to BTSTU, Jasmine, and other Jai Paul songs so I decided to just listen to the whole album leak again. Goddamn is that leak amazing, Jai Paul is fantastic and needs to release a full, non-bootleg/stolen album to the public.
