The True Self - Persona

Noboru and Alexei walk towards each other. Fighting the resistance, the approach each other. The winds have kicked up. Dark matter is forming all around them. They refuse to give up. They walk slower now, as if waist deep in water. As others see their determination, they scream out.

"No!" Sachiko yells, before accidentally running into Chiaki and being pushed away.

But nothing can stop them. They approach each other and engage in the manliest handshake/man hug known to ever exist. It is too late. The energy has formed a black hole, enveloping the two.

(Maybe you can make something better than I did with this.)

I was thinking more along the lines of magnetism. Like, they get near each other and they fly off into the wind until they're a medium distance away. The more muscle and the taller you are, the stronger the resistance.

In the movie Guardians of the Galaxy, that guy is Drax the Destroyer, a protagonist. At one point one of the other characters says he's too literal and everything goes over his head, to which he responds "Nothing goes over my head. My reflexes are too fast. I will catch it."

Though Leiko attracting all the boys might make Sachiko a teensy bit angry.
