Please, just Echo is fine...Well, in my defense, there is very little information about Weather Angels anywhere, other than to say 'they don't conform to any of the normal rules'.Obviously, not knowing the world nearly as well as you long hands, my arguments are entirely subjective, but I shall make them anyway, which hopefully shall also help clarify what I was going for (that may not have come across in my sheet). As far as I could tell from the timeline provided, Heaven (and by extension Angels) existed before earth, but without earth, there is no need for a weather angel (unless Heaven needed its weather regulated?). Thus, a weather angel would've come into existence at the same time, or perhaps been repurposed from another kind of angel and sent to earth to carry out their task. You cant very well keep your assigned land in order by lazing about in heaven after all. From the (again very limited) information on the site about weather angels, I gathered that while yes angels are meant to protect humanity, the weather angels don't really do it directly like many of the other do, so much as keep the land in proper order, which indirectly allows the humans to prosper... this is not at all conveyed in the sheet and I'll have to change a few bits for that, but nonetheless a number of the motivations will remain the same or similar. For the whole land connection thing, whether assigned by the council, Aurus or some other force (again, my understanding is that the council is mostly a 'since the fall of heaven' thing) in order to best do their job, it would most make sense for a weather angel to have a direct connection of sorts to the Essence of their assigned land (described as 'hers' because thats how she percieves it). From there, I went with the existing knowledge of Angelic Essence being primarily confined in their wings, and if the weather angel wings colour is determined by the things they are responsible for, then why not their physical properties as well? I always knew the wings thing was a bit out there though, and will change it if its too against established lore. (I am in part trying to avoid having sword wielding character). This all raises a good point of clarification, and an interesting assumption I was making - have all the classes of angel and their purposes existed since they were first created or are they something that has been adopted only since they came to Earth en masse? It was my assumption that they had existed since creation and there was a fair bit of traffic between Earth and Heaven by all kinds of angels throughout history. All in all, I am doing my best to reconcile the cries of 'create your own' with the 'stick to established lore'... Its not always that easy but I am trying.
Oh no worries. Don't feel like I'm trying to shut down your CS or anything. Just trying to help you out so it all fits nicely. Hence why I want to make an encyclopedia thread.
Ok, so, story time. Approximately 7200 years prior Aaurus, the Creator of All, created Heaven and the Angel kind. At the time, the Angels were immortal, all powerful. Capable of godly feats. Shortly after, Hell came into existance after the Death of the first Demon, Lilith. Her lifeless body was used to create Hell and it's surrounding lands, and the first generation of demons, were birthed from Lilith's rotting womb. Between these two worlds was nothing but the void, empty of all life. Heaven and Hell were separated from this empty world by two gates. Heaven's Gate, and Hell's Gate. Both gates were protected by a Keeper. Chime was the Gatekeeper of Heaven, with her instument, a violin of great power. And Melody, the Gatekeeper of Hell, with a powerful harp in hand. Both the instruments, held God's power of creation within them, but with different intentions in mind. To keep the essence flowing as the two eternal players played and to prevent the two races from mixing or ever meeting eachother.
Aaurus with his godly vision observed the tiny creatures as they loved and hated each other, as they fought and attracted death upon each other, and he failed to understand them. His own core was that of the void - it was deprived of emotion and as such what he saw puzzled him for the first time in his existence.
As he watched and watched and watched, there was one thing that he thought he finally started to understand, and that thing was what was called “intention”. It seemed that the newborn creatures had something he lacked and Aaurus was curious to understand what it was.
What he did next changed him forever. He focused his gaze on one being, one demon, called Lucy and his gaze never left her. As he watched on her endless cycle of life and death he understood that there was only one way to understand Life’s creations and it was to merge with them. Instead of separating this time he did what the void had once done and merged his existence with that of Lucy. He gave away half of what he had been to her and acquired half of what she had been. The two beings had formed an union and they celebrated it with the creation of a new race – the humans. And with them, a Gatekeeper, a mix of all races. Luciana.
Those would be the true divine offspring, combining within themselves everything good and evil at the same time. They would be set on the Surface, the no-man’s land that appeared between Heaven and Hell, a truly marvelous place that neither demon nor angel could truly appreciate. With that final creation Aaurus and Lucy reached an agreement - they had interfered enough.
But with this came a price. The Angels and Demons now had a bridge between their worlds. And a battleground to clash on.
And so, 3200 years ago, the first Great War manifested itself on the human world, devastating it. With the aid of "The Fleshshaper", Heaven Gate was broken, Chime, it's Gatekeeper, killed. And Heaven destroyed. Forcing the remaining Angels to flee to Earth, mixing their essence with the essence of mankind, unbalancing the three worlds.
Alright, so there's the Origin story. Now Angel classes came to be when the Angels lost their immortality once they entered the human world (Since most of them died anyway). Every Angel that died resurrected in a human body, possessing the human and overpowering their soul. So their body was human, but what made them Angels were their wings. Classes had to be created in order to accommodate for their physical weakness. And as such all White and Grey Winged Angels studied in the Council Citadel, to learn about their abilities.
Now about Weather Angels. They are not really connected to the land, at all. In fact, they are connected to a portion of space in the Void itself, a ruptured rift in that general area of the land. It's what enables their abilities, which aren't really abilities, per say. She is actually a conduit for natural forces. If Cerria strays too far from it, she will be torn apart. So she can only stay in her land, so to speak. If she dies, she will simply be replaced by someone else. However. She won't know any of this or how the Void works. So as far as she knows, she's a part of the land. Though in fact she isn't at all.
The colour is only determined by the time of possession of the human body. If a human fetus is possessed, it will have White Wings. If a human is possessed at a later stage, it will have Grey Wings. Now Black Winged Angels are special. During the Great War, in their desperation the Archangels designed a demonic parasite to create an Angel that would have the upper hand over Hellions. The Angels with black wings, are infected with said parasite. The whole White Wing equals Good and Black Wing equals Evil is Angelic Council propaganda.
