@hamster- Did Rin and Aveah just get ignored? Didn't we agree to follow you?

Yeah sorry, I totally fell over that in spectacular fashion. I wrongly assumed everyone was applying the aspirin they found in the medical cabinet to the injured 9 and the ailed Klymi.

Have edited my post, read the last part of it to see your inclusion.
There we go.

Here's to hoping my country doesn't descend into civil war one day 1!
Nation: Syrian Republic
Time: 13:50

Communications:

- Adib Shishakli seeks assurances from Israel that it will not take advantage of an impending Syrian demobilisation.

Overt actions:

Adib Announces Return of Democracy

- Adib Shishakli has announced the return of civilian rule, and has legalized all formerly banned political parties, including the Ba’ath Party, the Muslim Brotherhood, the Syrian Nationalist Party and the Syrian Communist Party.

- He has asked the newly legalized political parties to join him in forging a new constitution for Syria, and promises elections to be held three months following an agreement.

- This move was largely unexpected, and many commentators are nervous that the suddenness of Adib’s actions could return Syria to political instability. Time will tell whether or not the Ba’athists, Communists and Nationalists take up this offer, or whether they choose to boycott the event altogether.

Syrian Army to Demobilise

- The Syrian army stands at an estimated 250,000 combat troops, most of whom are considered to belong to tribal militias.

- The cost of funding this disproportionately large force is crippling the Syrian economy, prompting Adib Shishakli to order the demobilisation.

- It is expected that with the militias disbanded, and the reserve army divisions ordered to stand down, the Syrian armed forces will sit at approximately 50,000.

- Adib is seeking assurances Israel will not attempt to launch an attack on the Golan Heights following this demobilisation.

Sorry for the confusion guys. Basically, the UN post is just for the Korean conflict. Everyone is free to start with whatever they want.

Woohoo.

It's late here, and I'm off to sleep. Will post tomorrow, double promise.
Founding member bitcheesss... but I was a bit confused over what was supposed to be happening. So Syria needs to comment on the UN sitch? I wasn't sure if the template was designed for a general post or what. Forgive my ignorance, but I have almost ZERO idea of what's going on at this precise moment in time. Did I miss something on google docs? I tried to go the chatzy for a bit of a catch up, but no one was there.

Tell me what needs doing :)

"I suppose you will not stand down, will you?" Mundhir asked with a sarcastic smirk.

The two guardsmen growled their response, and surged forwards. They were good, strong warriors, the Prince could sense as much, but they were fatally slow. Even with his joints, as stiff as they were, and his venom-impregnated muscles, Mundhir was ready to receive them. As their sabres came on him from above, he stepped backwards and shoved his into the foremost of the guards. With a gurgle, the Prince's victim fell to the ground. The other guard, realizing Mundhir was beyond his skill, attempted to flee but there was too little chivalry left to allow such a mercy, and he fell forwards under the force of a sabre stroke.

"Who is your master?" Mundhir asked, pressing his foot into the man's gaping wound.

Despite the minute or two of intense screaming, the Prince received no answers. The man died either from shock or from blood loss, not that it mattered.

The prisoners had yet to follow him down the passage way. He feared they had their own plans, though he doubted even they could overcome the Citadel's garrison. Still, he needed their help; if his father or brothers had managed to turn even the World Breakers against him, it was more than likely they had several servants out in the wilds. Bandits were cheap labour, and the countryside was thick with them. Mundhir did not fancy his chances sneaking across open country without bodyguards.

Pulling out a chair that was hidden deftly in the corner of the long-since abandoned guard barracks he had walked into from the passageway, he sat and pondered his next moves. He would wait for any stragglers to follow him, but if after a short while, there was no one then he'd have to go it alone. If he could get to Baalor, he was confident he would be able to track down his hidden enemies and slay them. He just hoped that his men hadn't been bought out, but he found this proposition beyond comprehension. They were his sword-brothers, and together they had achieved much greatness against odds few warriors would dare to face with hopes of victory. If they still held the ruins, they would welcome him, he was certain.

"Times running out," he shouted down the passageway, doubtful anyone would hear him.

Poor Tarwin's gonna be all alone in the citadel and may actually end up sending guards to the wrong place, I'll probably come up with a way to get him back with the main group.

Yeah, I saw that. Still, maybe he could just disguise himself as a guard? He's doing alright by fooling them as he is, but maybe he could just sneak out during all the chaos? There'll be a lot of soldiers milling around topside, I'm sure he could just slip through in the confusion.

Oh wonderful, finally getting out from the dungeon! dx

Yeah, I thought I'd better do something before we all drowned in word soup. Whilst I personally love reading it all, things are getting a tad crowded and hard to track.

Going with the Prince isn't a life or death matter. You're all welcome to go about finding another way - or splitting off once we've reached the end of the tunnel.

I imagine the tunnel will be long, interrupted here and there by various derelict rooms. We'll probably find guards along the way, but the Prince's killers probably wouldn't have assumed he'd survive both the venom and the World Breaker, so there wont be a whole regiment worth of enemies. Still, we might not want to make too much racket, or the pesky feckers might surround the exit.
Beautiful post Wizard. That was really something quite grand, well done.

Am I right in assuming Polvark has a taste for gouging eyes? I wasn't 100% sure that's what happened, so I thought I'd better check.
So many typos in that post, dayam.

For any who care, it's always good to leave my posts for 5 minutes before reading. For some reason, I can't pick out mistakes in microsoft word, it's like I only read what I thought I've written. When I post them though, it's like someone's drawn a huge circle around everything I've f**ked up :D
