I actually liked your nation as is. Also, you're in a state of political turmoil from what I read. Your technology would likely be more stunted than, say, the Free City of Goug, where creation and innovation are all that really matters on a day-to-day basis.

Yeah I guess you're right. I'll leave things as they are, It would make sense that my country boasted third-world technology.

Okie dokie :D Thanks.
I think I just confused with how advanced steampunk was supposed to be.

I thought steam mechs, giant floating battleships etc were the modern day technological translation, as opposed to a heavily beefed up 1890+ time period. For example, in the real world 2014, Britain relies on the Challenger 2 main battle tank to power its way through an enemy line, but steampunk world 2014, Britain relies on huge crawling tarantulas and floating sky castles.

My bad. Please excuse me whilst I fast forward my nation by a century or two.

Not Roman enough. I think I'll just give them an automaton marine crew to board any vessels. Might as well arm them with Greek Fire molotov grenades.

Hahaha.

On a more serious note, I took the time to look at other players' nation sheets... why am I seeing space ships? Come on y'all, let's dial it down from the year 2652 to 1850.

More clumsy contraptions, less Halo Combat Evolved.

Yup, me and my flying biremes are screwed.

Not if you equip them with a steam powered forcefield?

I was thinking about creating a smaller animal. That okay?If not, I have others in store of course.

Of course. I myself was mulling over the idea of playing an enlarged... well Syrian Hamster. I mean they have hands, and massive cheek pouches - survival's basic ingredients.

Playing a standard small sized creature is fine, i.e a little vole. I was going to restrict this at first, but then I thought it'd make things a bit more interesting. Especially as some of my planned zombie types like to burrow, and that other animals will be a threat to little guys. I.e a hawk. So being small conveys no advantages, as far as I can see, so yeah go with whatever.

Walking tanks, submarines, sea and sky dreadnoughts - definitely a 20th century vibe. For some reason, in a past steampunk RP I remember, the tech boundary seemed to always get bumped higher and higher. At most, I expected to see some primitive biplanes, or ships like SyrianHamster's.

Yeah, I was keeping it real. I mean big ships carried by clumsy balloons and powered by boilers seems feasible.

I also skimped on detailing the weapons of my troops, and the cannons, as I thought they'd just be the run of the mill 18th/19th century kind. Maybe I should go back and add a steam powered laser cannon?

I need daily insulin injections, and I spent 4 days in the ICU when medicaid (state-run health insurance) stopped covering me for a few months.

Okay you win. All I needed was an injection of steroids, and a big bit of "why the fuck didn't you see the other doctor instead?" advice.

Daily injections eh? My boss has that shit, it don't look pretty. He carries around that finger pricking machine, and a man bag of his 5-a-day fun runs... but then he is like, 50. You aint that old are you? 50 year olds don't know what anime is.

Don't get me started on government agencies, you can't imagine how long it took me to get health insurance and I'm a type one diabetic!

National Health Service bitch!

Even if it is useless, and at one point I had to go two weeks without an asthma inhaler because my new GP suddenly decided I didn't have real asthma.

Was a fun trip to the hospital, that one.

Moving.. (won't have internet for the coming week), will try to post on Saturday when I visit my parents.Hamster, do NOT let this RP die!See you all soon.

S'all in good hands my friend. I've never abandoned an RP, and I don't plan to start now (except an NRP I hosted, but that was because of too many crying players giving me a headache!).

Got crap I need to sort out tomorrow (long story short, need to get my passport sorted, and I cocked something up on the application so now I have to run around like a headless chicken contacting government agencies. By contacting I mean being on hold, getting thrown around the room like a tired whore between sub departments, before finally killing myself out of frustration), but once I've sorted it all, I will post. Promise.
EDIT: URGH double post.
