Winston approached the door at the end of the walkway. Dead Angry Masters littered the area behind him; some stirring with broken bodies. They moaned angrily, but Winston didn't care, they got what they deserved. The door wouldn't open, and he pushed it a few times to try and force it.

"Ra-rae?"

A little box, the size of a piece of A4 paper was affixed to the wall besides the door. It had a large blue square in its centre, and out of curiosity Winston put a palm on it. Immediately bright lights started flashing, and a hidden Master started yelling at him.

"ID not recognised, remain where you are, security personnel have been called," it had shouted.

Winston didn't know what he'd done, but he knew the Blue Masters were bad men. They carried objects that caused Winston great pain, and they made loud noises. He looked around for an escape but there was only one way out - the way he had come. Carefully, he started stalking forwards, eyes darting around this way and that. As he reached the end of the corridor, and entered the Bad Room again, he was relieved to see that no one was there. Just more dead Angry Masters.

He had put his palm against the screen, thinking it was some kind of button, but now he realised that perhaps it did not recognise his paw. This gave the overgrown and extremely pissed off hamster a grand idea, and within seconds, he had torn an appendage from one of the many dead Masters. Taking it back down towards the locked door, he noted the alarms had stopped, and there were still no sign of the Blue Masters.

Not wasting any time, he shoved the appendage against the square, repeatedly. The little box lit up with a green glow.

"ID Recognised, welcome Dr. John Martin. I hope you are having a wonderful day," the hidden Master's voice said. The door opened in short order.

Stepping in, Winston suddenly felt a great pang of something awful. Something that sunk low in his gut, making him sad? Is that what they called it? For there was one of his kind, strapped to a big metal table, with its insides all torn out. There were screens, and bright lights, all flickering information at him that he did not understand. He walked over to his fallen comrade, and sniffed the remains.

Fear. Terror. Anguish

"RAEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" He screamed, punching anything and everything next to him.

Something moved in the corner of his eye, and before he had time to react, an Angry Master had jumped on him. It was strong, much stronger than the other Angry Masters, and Winston found himself tumbling onto the ground with a pair of teeth clenched to his fury neck in a vice like grip. He fought back, raking his claws up and down the Angry Master's back, sending black blood and torn clothes into the air like confetti.

I've edited that rule to make it a bit clearer but SyrianHamster has it right. Biting will cause you to turn, scratches won't.The Walking Dead universe is a little weird about this, honestly. The virus is airborne but it's dormant within everybody until they die. Once you die, the virus activates. However, if you are bitten, you get a very specific kind of illness, usually marked with an insanely high fever and hallucinations. This illness will kill you pretty quickly and you'll re-animate as a walker.Robert Kirkman, the creator of TWD comics, says that zombie bites don't kill you because the active version of the virus is being transmitted or anything; he says you die because of infection or blood loss. The show does it differently because once someone's bitten, that's it, they're as good as dead. They never attempt to disinfect the wound which implies that the infection spreads too fast, but the show has proven that amputations can help you survive so it can't spread fast. The show also has the virus attack your brain functions whilst you're alive so....Yeah, it's confusing. TL;DR: Bites will give you that there walker fever, scratches won't. The wound left behind by the scratch may get infected but the infection would be the same as one caused by being stabbed. The iconic walker fever will only happen to bite victims.

The Walking Dead universe is just one big bundle of LOL. So it's the germs in the walker bite that cause a generic infection? This generic infection then kills the host in a day or two because of reasons?

I need to meet with the author, to discuss the last 60 years of zombie lore with him.

Not dissing the RP by the way, I love it, and will play no matter what the zombie lore is, but I just wanted to give the whole bite premise a good ole "o.0"
I want to be sorry for any of that nonsense, but I as a GM work really hard on getting my RPs up, the players involved, and things rolling. I know we're all different with our own restraints, but this was ridiculous so I had to say something. Looking over everything, I'm glad I did truth be told.

If you want me back, I'll come back - I had my NS saved for this inevitable outcome. I don't rebel against the established authority often, in fact, this was my first. Just don't sit around for days leaving everyone to die, and I'm happy. Throwing hissy fits at people questioning your absence and trying to help you is another no go. I dream of a world without hissy fits. Hissy fits.

That said, if you think I'm a dick and shouldn't be trusted, then that's cool I'll just back out.

Would anyone like to synchronize attacks?Shorus is gonna leave some traps for the returning Elven party and split :)He can fortify the attack on the Mad Prince if needed. And also, lets decide if we're kidnapping or killing the mad Elven Prince..@Hamster, what kind of terrain would there be around the Elven camp, will Shorus need to cover his footprints (hoofprints)? :)

As a visual aid, use the above.

The covering of prints would be wise, as Minotaurs make very different versions to humans and Elves. Maybe Shorus could stay back, and wait for things to hit the fan, before running in and slaughtering stuff? It's up to you, I'm happy with anything.

It said that you were infected by being bitten, but were okay unless you were scratched. So I didn't know if you were infected by bites AND scratche, or it was just a typo.

It says your OK in case you're scratched, so I'd take that for what it is. Welcome to wait for Threedawg to comment on it though if you're still unsure.

threedawg, in your rules it says this:Does that mean you get infected if you get scratched? I'm unsure if you're just going with biting or biting and scratching. Thanks.

Seems pretty clar to me bud, says bites are the only way to convey the infection. I've got my own little take on it though, whereby I include blood contamination. You know, punching a zombie in the face, cutting your knuckles, and covering your hand all in its blood probably carries a risk.

How long would the group being staying at the church, Hamster?

We're getting ready to move the Hell out of there. Maybe 2-3 more posts there.

Oskar finally freed his rifle from its entanglement, and was about to move on over to the church when he felt a hand clasp tightly on his shoulder. He turned, his heart skipping several highly charged beats, and stared stupidly into his own reflection. His brain quickly caught up to events, and he realised it was the large visor of Hannah's flight helmet.

"Go back to sorting out the car, I got this," she said quietly.

"But the zombies!" He sputtered.

"They'll get here when they get here, my thirty rounds wont count for shit, now hussle up," she retorted, and moved on towards the church.

She stopped when she stood over Kylie, and gave a long approving look at the slain walker at the girl's feet. Hannah could tell Kylie was in shock, and moments away from being an ineffective team asset. With this in mind, she grabbed the girl and gave her a hard shake.

"It didn't get you, that's all you need to think about," she said, with quiet firmness. "Learn from this. Always check your AO for hidden hostiles before dropping your guard. Dwelling on what may of been wont help, understood, soldier?"

Meanwhile, Oskar had finished putting on the HUMVEE's spare tyre, and was in the process of hooking up the battery. He hoped the thing was charged, and that it had a high enough voltage to power the vehicle - otherwise they were screwed. Camellia held the answers as to where the thing came from, and how she'd found it, but she didn't seem much in the mood for talking.

Clipping the terminals into place, he looked down at her, "Cam, where'd you get this anyway?"

She ignored him, and stared vacantly at the ground. Her chest's heaving rhythm had slowed to a slight murmur. After a few seconds, she looked up at him; he noted her pale face and darkening eyes. Time was rapidly evaporating for her.

"Cam, where'd this battery come from?" He asked again, trying to keep his voice controlled as the moans of the approaching herd started to break 70 decibels.

"Was on a work bench in a garage," she whispered faintly, "plugged in to some generator. Generator was off. Battery was warm."

Oskar's first thoughts to this were: FUCK, we've just stolen something from someone who's alive. His second thoughts were: FUCK, what if they want it back?

"Did you see anyone around, apart from the walkers?" He asked next, standing back from the now attached battery.

She shook her head.

Good enough for him. "Alright, we're ready, let's go!" He shouted off towards the church, before pulling open the driver side door and getting himself seated.

"Leavin' me huh? Smart." He heard Camellia say, with a hint of a chuckle following her words.

He sighed, and climbed back out of the vehicle. "Sorry Cam, I was too eager."
I rolled dice to see if Oskar wouldn't be useless for a change. As you can see, it didn't go in Kylie's favour.

Hannah will mop things up if Kylie survives another post, because she's bad ass and doesn't need rolls for this kind of stuff. She just needs rolls on whether or not she leaves people to die... oh, wait...

"No problem," replied Oskar, smiling at Kylie briefly. "And do not worry; I do not stir the cauldron of shit. That woman over there is on edge as it is, but she is good at what she does, and I have stuck by her this long because of that. I want to find my family, and that power hungry feminine warrior over there is my best bet of doing so."

He watched Kylie walk off into the church, thinking for a moment to give her his rifle- no, he needed it. What if he couldn't get the car working? The rifle was his only means of defence.

Shifting around to the HUMVEE's rear, he was relieved to see the spare tyre still mounted up and in good condition. The jack was secured inside the rim, and he was grateful that the American military were so organised. In Poland, more often than not, if an army vehicle broke down, then there was a fifty-fifty chance of there being no spare parts to fix it with. That was of course, when Poland still had an army.

Within five minutes, he'd jacked the six tonne monster on one side, and had the busted tyre off. He'd found the tyre wrench nearby, embedded in the skull of a badly decomposed corpse, which was an essential albeit grizzly blessing. He was halfway into positioning the spare when he glimpsed Kylie waving at him from the church, and he smiled back at her, confident that she had found something for the ailing Camellia.

"Hold on Cam," he said, "we'll fix you up."

"Don't bet on it," she wheezed. "Prolly just get you killed too anyway, may as well just leave me."

"Oh Cam," Oskar had said, not wanting to entrench her guilt over Woody. He looked back at Kylie as a way of ending the conversation - and saw a shadow moving behind her.

Hannah was quick with her weapon, having been through basic training before the outbreak, and having used it several times since. Oskar on the other hand, whilst a keen huntsman back in his native land, was no soldier. His rifle, secured around his shoulder by its strap, tried to choke him as he attempted to bring it around.

"Fuc- KYLIE LOOK OUT!" He yelled, floundering in getting his weapon up in time.

So hamster, any ideas about what I could find in the church?

It was a CDC Safe Zone, so at one point it would have been stocked with a whole variety of medical supplies and rations. It's probably been ransacked by then, but you might find something. It's unlikely you'll find blood bags in there, and if you did, they'd be bad anyway. However, something to stop the bleeding like bandages, and antibiotics would help. Maybe even a splint for the leg. Who knows? Roll the dice!
